RE: How can this be balanced?
If the Top Flite balancer is the one that suspends the rod between two magnets, then you won't be able to balance it with that. What you will need is the balancer made by Du-Bro, thread the prop onto the prop shaft, then set up the Du-Bro balancer like you were balancing a very large prop. The instructions will explain how. The Du-Bro balancer is what I use for the large 27" airplane props, it works great. Hope this helps.

RE: i need to buy a submarine can u help me plz
ORIGINAL: Traxxas4fun i have a question about subs lol. How far down do they go, and how do you see were they are going?
From what I managed to learn, if you're in a pond or lake, the sub will be out of sight after diving about 2 to 2 1/2 feet, so I don't know why you would want to go deeper than that. If you're in a swimming pool, I think the chlorine in the water will effect radio range, so you won't be able to go all that deep and still have control. As far as radio systems, the one radio you CANNOT use is 2.4 ghz, the signal does not penetrate water at all. Maybe more experienced sub guys can help you out more.

Dumas Subs
Hello, Dumas makes two subs, the Akula and the Bluefish. I'm trying to do research and see what people think of these two subs. Are they worth the money? Do they have any problems that make people shy away from them? I run sailboats and powered scale boats, but lately subs have been interesting and I'm thinking at trying my hand at one. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Ken

Half of 192 is 96. I wonder if that was coincidence or intentional on Sterlings part. Blow them up twice the size and we have it.

Deathwise - I saved those plans and would like to print them out, but I'm not sure what the proper size would be. There's nothing I can get a baseline off of. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Also, what is the scale of the Sterling Missouri? I would like to print those out so the model would be 1/96. Scratchbuild project possibly in my future.... Thanks, Ken

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"
I use velcro strips about 1/2 inch wide. You can find them in Home Depot or Lowes. Wrap it around the wooden frame and the nacelle still fits. Holds the tank in place and makes maintenance real easy.

RE: 2.4 Ghz and boats
If it flies or floats I use 2.4 with no problems at all. I heard that you shouldn't use 2.4 in a submarine, that will have signal problems when submerged.

RE: Top Flite DC-3 or any person who has a twin and take off issues.
Are both engines coming up to speed evenly? You could have the left engine bogging down a bit and the right engine will want to push it left because it's revving up quicker. The fact that it's a tail dragger could have something to do with it, but I have a tricycle gear twin that did the same thing until the engines were balanced out

Hey Captain Bill, who sells the Astro Flite Model 208D? Very soon I'll be in the market for a speed control and that one seems to be a good candidate based on your evaluation. Also, what kind of tug is it and what motor are you using? (just doing a little research). Thanks Ken

RE: Battery capacity question
I don't think it would make a difference. It's kind of like asking if two 5lb weights would weigh more than a single 10lb weight. Having two batteries would give you better weight distribution as opposed to one.

You need a voltmeter that can also put the battery under a load. Hanger 9 makes a tester for that.
ORIGINAL: Pilot P51 I am running the Graupner 10 x7 3 blades on my OS 46's getting about 13,000 rpms the last time I checked it. I am also running 30% fuel. I have well over 100 flights on these engines with no problems. It is like a rocket on full throttle. Most of the time I fly it at half throttle. Walt
Same here, but I'm turning around 10.5 on 15% fuel. I also run them a bit on the rich side. Most of the time I fly at a little less than 1/2 throttle, with the 10oz tanks, I can get about 16 minutes per flight. Ken
