RE: Non Chinese Gas Engines
Subscribed! I am currently running a MVVS 80 Twin Spark on MTW RE3 pipe in Hanger 9 Sukhoi and MVVS 58 Prosport LE on MTW RE2 in Aeroworks Edge 540. Here they are on my desk:

RE: Airwild Giles G-300 Maiden Flight
Thanks for the response. This will be quite helpful. I will decide shortly if I will keep it or sell it. It is a very unique airplane. I am just not much of a painter (I should have thought of that when I bought it) It will be a month until I get to this plane either way. I will post if I have any more questions. I like the idea of a single aileron servo. I was thinking of Hitec 7950TH all around (one per aileron, one per elevator) except the rudder. For the rudder I have a single 7990HV. I appreciate you checking in every once in a while.

RE: Airwild Giles G-300 Maiden Flight
Wow, there is still somebody out there. Thanks for getting back to me. I am mostly wondering how the plane flew in the long run and how the skin hinges held out. Mine is white with red bottom (un painted from factory) and so will require paint or decals. I am considering selling it or spending the time and money to get this flying and painted. It depends on whether it is worth it or not. I guess I am looking for opinions. Information, pictures and video is sparse on this plane. Anything yopu could contribute would be appreciated.

Finally something from DA that will compete with the DLE 55. I was getting tired of DLE 55's performing better than my DA 50 that I had just paid twice the money for.

I have a kit that has been sitting around for a while. I have wanted to build it for a while but don't seem to have the time. I also have the Robart retracts, the cockpit kit and the upgraded fiberglass parts from Fiberglass Specialties. I may be posting it for sale soon.

RE: ElectriFly RimFire 50cc Anyone using?
I am building a 30% Sukhoi 26 with the Rimfire 50cc. I will be using the CC HV 160 and two 6 cell 5800 Mah batteries. I plan on trying a Xoar 23 X 8 prop on it. My plane should be finished in a week or two. I will post and let everyone here know how it performs in terms of amp draw, thrust, prop rpm and endurance. You are correct, not much info out there on this motor so far. I did find this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAdAjiOfLf4 I have attached a few pictures of my plane.

RE: Nemesis 52
Neme62, I had one of these planes with a saito 82 on it. I don't think the 62 is quite enough engine. I know we all have different preferences for power but I would not have wanted ay LESS power than a 82 4 stroke on this bird. Also, re snap roll: I found the Nemesis to be less than an ideal aerobat. This is a speed/racer plane.

RE: GP GEE BEE
Pencon, I agree, I was just bugging you. My current plan is to pull the 170R off and install my Saito 125 on the Gee Bee. The 125 has a much better power to weight ratio. The Gee Bee is hard enough to fly without adding all the weight associated with the 170R. There are several planes better suited to the 170, like the Kangee Waco etc. I would offer to buy your Saito 170 but I just bought the JR 12X transmitter last week and my "toys" budget is blown for a little while. Let me know if it is still for sale next month, I may be interested. I will keep you posted if I fly the Gee Bee with the 125. I have a few other projects on the go first though. Good luck. :)

I've decided to finally get started on my KMP Beaver. I've had it sitting around for approx. 1 year. I will be using the Saito FG 36 gas for power. I had to build a sub firewall because the FG36 and mount stuck out too far.

RE: Twist 3D 150 ARF
I just flew my twist 150 again today for the first time in a while. I love this plane. i have 1 flying and 3 new in box on reserve. I will let one or two for a fair price. Regardless, what a great plane. i have a saito 180 on mine with C of G at 5 inches. I recently moved the C of G to the rear most recommende position. It fly's great at this setting. I have lots of viseo and will post some soon.

Apart from the covering/decals, it seems to be the same plane. I don't know of any other R3 being produced in this size range. Of course, I don't know for sure. I could see Texaco having issues if there was not prior permissions to use their logo. I will see if I can contact the person who posted that video and see where he got the plane.

RE: Nemesis 52
I'll try a few different props, including an 11 X 10 and a 12 X 10 if there are some around at my LHS. Are you saying 10 pitch props slow down better for landing? I've never tried 25% nitro in any of my Saito's. I just run 20/20 Powermaster. I'd be willing to give that a try too. I can probably get a few more RPM out of the .82 by leaning it out after a few more flights. The engine has about a gallon of fuel through it (was on another plane briefly for break in). I am still running it pretty rich. I'll post when I get some more results. My friend has a radar gun so my data should be accurate. The weather here is late winter still and we only get a few decent days every couple weeks right now. It may be a week or so before I fly again.

RE: Nemesis 52
I did just finished building and flying the Nemesis. I found the build straight foreward and I am happy with the quality of the ARF in general. I used a Saito .82 4 stroke. I am happy so far with the flight performance. The recomended throws are very conservative. I had some higher rates dialed in with around 40% expo and I prefered the higher rates right away. I used the recommended C of G and it seemed right on. The plane is pretty fast but not insane. I love the looks. I flew with a 12 X 8 prop which the engine spun at 10,500 rpm static. I found it hard to slow down to land. I ended up shutting of the engine to land in the end as even at low idle it would not stop flying. Landing gear stood up fine with no mods for first landing. I hope to post some video in the next few weeks.

RE: Twist 3D 150 ARF
The wording of my post may have been poor. I have a Saito 180 in my plane. I needed to add 1.5 oz of weight to the TAIL to bring the C of G to 6 inches. No weight was added to the nose. Weight was added to tail.
