RE: MVVS 35cc Starting problems
Thanks for your quick response re MVVS 35 starting problems. Yes I have checked for the spark but have not determined if its working consistantly and the problem has been consitant since new but not to its sevierety as now. Will check the spark strength again. Your thoughts of a new ignition purchase may be the best alternative. Will check out the cost. I have some hasitation with filing things on the engine. I am not an expert in these matters and am afraid to foul things up. Thanks again for your assistance though. Regards

RE: Johnson Mufflers Website ???
I am attempting to obtain support for replacing a pair of Johnson Mufflers for my 3W 56B2 twin. The ones I received from Cactus when I purchased the engine are terribly leaking around the alu welds.Cactus office advised Johnson Muffler are out of business. Does anyone know what replaces this muffler at about the same price and also effectively, including reliable quality control? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Manfred

RE: mvvs 26 gas numbers?
Thanks Bill for your reply. My problem was not realy the mounting plate itself but the smallish female threaded bolt recepticals of the engine at rear. I fear that enlarging the thread here would agrivate the problem by reducing the strength of the mounting plate attachment area(sides of the crank housing).I am inclined to go with parallel motormount as the engine has the mounting lugs at its sides ans appear strong. Question here would be which of the available engine mounts would be best for a 4.1 hp engine?Would it be of advantage to have a vibration mounting system installed also.mrpip

RE: Motor Mounts make me feel like a "Blind Nut"
I have just received a MVVS 35 ccm gaser with a backplate mounting disk. I find the disk and the short screw attachement a little week for mounting this engine and would expect a lot of vibration/swinging as a result. Can anyone suggest a paralell beam engine mount with good vibration damping arrangement. Much appriciated to receive your ideas. Greeting from mrpip
