RE: What do YOU want for your Redcat Racing RC car?
how about a affordable line of tires like some street tread buggy tires or general bashing tires . mounted and unmounted. better air filters.

RE: New engine keeps stalling
it is probably too rich. also try a new glow plug. check idle adjustment. follow break in procedures, also if it hard too start loosen the glow plug to relieve some compression and it will start easier then tighten it back up after starts.

RE: Why are glow plugs still from the 1800's
Just for the record flat techs can make well over a 100k a year. Ever notice how much it cost when you bring your car in for service? I do well as a hyundai tech. But anyway glow plugs do aggravate me too. And $35 a gallon fuel. I hope I spelled everything correctly.lol

RE:
new hurricane xtr owner. wow this buggy is fun and durable so far. I ran it full speed under my friends lowered scion tc the other day and the only damage was a bent shock tower that i bent back! the aa battery came loose while diving and caused that one. now i zip tie them. it seems very fast and the motor runs real nice, but the glow plugs don't seem to last long compared to my traxxas vehicles. is this normal for a big block? I never had one before. I am tuned on the rich side still running at 215F . i know my tmaxx like to run at like 225F . any suggestions on glow plugs and temps for the sh .28 3p? thanks.[:D]

RE: which buggy?
I got it new ,never run with a missing steering servo. so i swapped my tmaxx servo until my new one comes. I won it for $ 102. plus 25 shipping. even my wife approved! I tried the heli thing also i am not a pilot. my only problem with the redcat was the crap glow plug it came with, it would start only for a second. blistered my hand before i swapped it out for a used tmaxx plug then it idled right though 2 tanks. light driving on 1 tank. taking a break now then out for more driving. so far the quality looks pretty good. counter sunk chassis and all hex hardware. primer bulb on fuel line leaks though but i have got some new line to get rid of that. it is 2.4ghz also

RE: which buggy?
the other day my friend brought a exceed madfire race version and came over with it. I was pretty impressed with the initial quality and performance. this thing flies! lots of tourque, it was shredding my grass up.I've had traxxass and hpi cars and been in r/c for a while so I thought it looked pretty good. so i got a redcat hurricane xtr from ebay should be here soon i will give a review when it comes.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
airy harden blades came today. threw them on and heli flew nice and smooth.[:)] the problem was the stock blades. they have a plastic bushing where the mounting hole is because the hole is like 1/4 inch. it must have caused some play in them. will post pics later.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
well I am still waiting for my harden blades to come from hong kong. I am going to wait till they come before I mess with the heli again. I sill could not get this thing to fly without the blades being on the loose side. I can't figure it out. we will see when the new blades come.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
thanks guys I did find some brass bushings in the flybar section the would pop out when the rotor spools up. and went over the head and tightended some screws. still has a vibration though. and the main blades have to be very loose fly? I will get a vid up asap. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs. lol[:D]

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
WOBBLE OF DEATH HAS ARRIVED! Balanced main blades and tail rotor. I did use a primitive method though. Adjusted blade tension all different ways. was hovering fine then the wobble came?

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
I did try all different adjustments as for blade grip tension. flies best on the verge of being floppy? my old df 4 was better on the tight side. maybe it is the metal head design? I did not balance them though. when the new set comes I will balance them for sure. and i will do the rear while I wait. I am also trying to find some alternate blades. looks like the airy harden is the only option for this model. your hover was very good I can't wait to hover at that height.[8D]

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Thanks , well I got 1 battery pack though it. 1. It does fly out of the box. 2. rusty skills cracked main blade on chair. 3. I ordered with the heli extra main and tail blades, tail gear set and tail motor. With my original df4 I never got past the short hover. It would glitch alot. the new 2.4 is very nice. once I master flight of this I will move to a 250 or 450 size machine. but that is a long way away! I will post a vid and some more pics soon.[:D]

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Hello all well I went ahead and ordered my present early and got the new df4. I got it from club heli. SUPER FAST shipping and great customer service. To my door in 2 days! I felt compelled to leave this good feed back , usually I don't give plugs like this but the price and service was great. I sell stuff on flea bay and try to give the best service so I appreciate when I get it. Here are some pics fresh out of the box while I charge the lipos.[:D]

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
CHUCK : THE DESCRIPTION FROM CLUBHELI SAYS METAL HEAD AND SWASHPLATE. AND IF YOU LOOK AT HELIPAL YOU GET A MUCH BETTER PIC OF THE DF4. HOW DID THAT CRASH HAPPEN? 3D TRICKS? I AM STARTING TO THINK ABOUT THE 4G6 HELI. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GET!!!!! I WAS THINKING OF THE EXCEED G2 ALSO BUT I WANTED SOMETHING TO HOVER IN THE HOUSE. I WILL KEEP BROWSING TILL MY BDAY NEXT MONTH THEN I WILL BUY MY PRESENT.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
hello cpl.eng - I don't mind the price of the new df4 since it has the metal head and swash plate already. Plus the LIPO AND 2.4 but that seems common on all now. club heli has them and the parts are still dirt cheap. The ufly is nice also. With brushless too. But I will most likely stay with the df 4 Gary- have you had the new df 4 in your hands yet? any info on parts compatibility?
