I did not do the long wooden dowel thing. I moved the servo closer then used flex rods.

I did the outer wing panels to be removed and they worked great. See the other Tigercat build thread, some others followed and did the same. The way I did them they are very very strong and proven.

Don't know what kind of radio you are using but I use a JR 9303 for my twins, it has a program to match both sides through the complete throttle range.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Anyone with a Saito 325R, can you tell me what the rpm should be with a 20x10 and a 20x8 and the best props used for performance on this engine. With A Master Air Screw Classic Series 20x10 I am getting 5400rpm on 15% nitro, it does not seem very good. Thanks

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
Hey guys have not been on here a while. Just wanted to let you know that I lost my TC due to my own neglect last month, but on the good side I think I am the first one to test the structural strength of some of the latest mods. I did do the Charles Winter mod to the spar and after the crash the spar mod did very well no breaks in that area. I also did a mod to make the outer wings removable and after the crash this mod did very well also. So after all was done the spar mod and the removable outer wing mod held up the best in my crash they were the strongest parts of the airframe. I did order and get another TC that I will build over this winter.

RE: BME 37% Ultimate
I sold my BME Ultimate ( big mistake ) over a year ago, the new owner never flew it so I bought just it back. All I can say is that if anyone is thinking about buying one of these do it. This Ultimate to me is one of the best flying and one of the nicest looking ( if you do your own graphics ) out. I set my Ultimate up with the BNE 115 Extreme and man does it make power. As to the flying wires I think that is up in the air, last year I flew it almost every day averaging 2-3 hours per day doing some pretty violent maneuvers with no wires and never had an issue. I am not saying they are good or bad but I just never had an issue. Have fun///////////

RE: KMP B-25 CONSTRUCTION.
Yes I did fly with the G20's. It flew OK but not great, if you go this route make sure you tune them and prop them the very best you can. I did not use the stock ignition that came with the G20's due to the battery draw. I used C&H ignition instead so I could run a smaller battery for less weight and they also do not drain down the battery as quick. Also with the added weight take a closer look at the main and especially the nose gear ( steering cable ) I used Robart and added stronger springs to handle the extra weight upon landing. As far as the stock gear it was junk as soon as they put it in the box. I ended up pulling the G20's out and installed the RCV 90's this year. I just want to see if it fly's better or worse than the G20's. With the weight difference etc I think it may just fly better.

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
Very nice setup. I also am very close all I have to do is sink ft160's etc and do the normal ground runs. I figure it will be flying within a week or so. I did take my F7F out in the sun to do some engine runs, during the first 5 minutes I started to get some bubbles on the wing surface. I took a pin and poked a whole in each one and kept pulling it in and out of the garage to let it heat and cool. I figure this is a early morning, early evening or cloudy day flyer. Its ashamed after all this money invested I do not feel comfortable taking it outside on a regular sunny day. They cannot tell me its because its a dark color when the fact is its poor development and poor workmanship.

RE: Skyshark P-40N Build
Does sound strange I have built many warbirds in the past and never ran into such a weight problem. Lipo battery in the nose and did not even mount the rec battery in the fuse yet. I guess I need to know what CG location you guys are using I tried setting mine by the book upside down, gear retracted, set at 3 3/4 from the leading edge next to the fuse and I come up very tail heavy

RE: Skyshark P-40N Build
Tranker I have just finished a P40 with the same gear and engine thoe I installed the rudder and elevator servos in the center section. I set the balance at 3 3/4 where the wing and fuslage meet with gear up and the plane upside down and its showing I still need over a 1 lb of nose weight very far forward in the cowl. Question is did you use a different cg location ? Any tips etc. Thanks Ed

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
No I went for the camera but the batteries were dead. One thing I did do different is that when I mad the cut out of the composite type wing sheeting I did not epoxy the cut outs back on, I made braces and screwed them back on so I could use them as inspection covers this way I can re-inspect the spar sections every so often for piece of mind.
