RE: To all who recomended the 4*120 for my DLE20
the 17 x 8 xoar is perfect for the dle-20, I have one in a 13 1/2 lb cub and it pulls vertical just fine.

RE: What Aircraft are you installing your DLE20
Hi Bob, since I didn't put the vertical stab in yet and I have the holes for the servo's do you think I could put tail reinforcement on the inside of the fuse? Also did you do any reinforcements to the firewall? Thanks Jim

Hi Bob I'm in the process of building the same plane. Did you have to make any mods? I already moved the servo's to the back. Any other tips would help alot. Here's some pics of the dle-20 I did use a fortitude 16oz tank but you can use the stock tank, you just have to move it back a little.

It has a 91" wingspan so it's somewhere between 1/4 and 1/5 scale.

Yes it works great. the temp was 210 at the hottest spot on the engine right after landing. The guys at the field said that was good. outside temp that day was 75

Here's mine with a dle-20. Had to open up the cowl for air, I also put the dubro 6" inflatables on it they work great on grass and look really cool.

RE: What Aircraft are you installing your DLE20
Installed a DLE-20 in a CMPro 120 Cub have 4 flights on it now. just love this motor plenty of power and uses hardly any fuel, if I had to guess I used about 3-4 oz for a 10 min flight and it's still new so maybe a tad rich. I did have to open up the cowl for more air but I don't think it looks bad.

[quote]ORIGINAL: nalby Ok flew the cub with the new air holes. flew 2, 10 min flights, after the first flight I hit the head with a infrared themometer highest was 210. Does that sound like a good temp? The engine ran good, nice throttle response a little rough at just under 1/2 throttle but I have read that it will smooth out as the engine breaks in. I had it idleing at 1800 and the high

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)
Question for all you dle-20 pro's. I just finished building a 120 size cub, I put a dle-20 with a xoar 17x6. Followed the info on this thread about breaking-in I have 1800 on idle i'm getting 7600 on the high. I maidened it on monday ( with the cowl off ) and I though it flew great. Today I put the cowl on and on the ground it was the same as the maiden flight but in the air it was not as smooth and then I had a dead stick. Landed ok but the motor was really hot. The only vents are 2 holes in the front typical cub holes and about a 1/4 gap at the bottom of the cowl, Do you think that is enough air? or does it sound like the engine might be to lean. Ant thoughts would be a great help. Thanks Jim

RE: ***CUB BROTHERHOOD***
Hi maybe you can add me to the awesome cub list. I have a cmp L4 with a monster 32, I get about 12 min on a 4s 3600 & 12 x 8 prop. It also has the hanger 9 gear. Currently I am building a CMPro 91" cub that i'm trying to squeeze a dle-20 in, should be a great flying plane.
