RE: Rampage XB-E 1/5 questions
Actually, I learned that Rc-monster.com has reducers, so 8MM will work as long as you get the reducer. [link=http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=RCMreducer&cat=40]http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=RCMreducer&cat=40[/link]
ORIGINAL: St33v3  <a href=''http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/brushless_pinion.html''>http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/brushless_pinion.html
I saw those but they are for a 8MM shaft. The stock motor comes with 5MM.

Rampage XB-E 1/5 questions
I bought the Rampage XB-E and have a few questions: 1. What is the gear pitch, will the HPI and Castle pinion gears work? What is the shaft size on the stock motor (castle is 8mm). 2. Can I convert the wheel hex adapters to 24mm? 3. How many cell does the stock ESC support? 4. What are the stock gear options to gear up? I see the pinion is 10 and 11 but I want it taller and to have more options to adjust as needed. Thanks for the help!

ESC and motor ideas for Xray T2 009
I'm building my first street electric 1/10 T2 and want the best motor and ESC, I feel Xray is top notch and I want my electronics to be as well. What do you think is the best ESC and motor? Any help would be great, I would like to hear from someone who has experience with different brands, etc.

RE: looking to get into street racing...
I like the 1/8 infernos the best. I agree it would cost some to get it to go fast, but are they durable? If I spend the money on modifying it for speed, while it handle is as it? Any weak components? For racing, I think I should go with 1/10 (most guys have 1/10 locally). I have looked at many brands, thanks to you guys for the info. I think I'm going to go with xray for 1/10 since I can get parts for them easily. For the others, like EDAM, Serpent, Team Magic, I not able to get parts as quickly.

looking to get into street racing...
I have an Xray XT8 and XB8 now, both are top quality off-road trucks that hardly ever break. I'm looking to get very durable street car for racing locally, on asphalt. We use cones to make the track but for the most part not too technical, track size within 60 ft from end to end. The local guys have 2 sizes, 1/8 and 1/10. I have found a lot of 1/10 but I'm more interested in the 1/8 size. I have looked at the Kyosho Inferno GT2's and they look ok. For 1/10 I like the Xray (surprise). I am going to stick with rubber tires. 1. What are the best models for 1/8 street racing cars? 2. Is the Kyosho Inferno GT and GT2 durable? Any cons?? 3. If I was to consider 1/10 scale, what are some of the best models? I see the CEN has one that is fast, but is it durable? I know Xrays are highly tune able and durable, but any other models to consider? I try to get high quality kits to minimize repair time, and my buggy and truggy are both the most durable trucks on the track, and I have collided with a 35lbs 1/5 scale more then once. The guys are still waiting for it to break, they have resorted to bashing my truck but that ends up breaking theirs :) Since I'm completely new to street RC cars, I just need some direction in what is good vs something that is crap, what should I stay away from?? I have bought crap before and I would rather not go through that again. I found the sticky thread after I posted, but any new ones to add? What about 1/8 scales? I would be interested in a pro level kit. Pro level Kits (random order) 1. HPI R40 2. Kyosho V-one RRR 3. Nitro TC3 Factory Team 4. Mugen MTX4 5. Ofna CD3 Pro 6. Serpent Thanks for any input you have!!

RE: Trinity Now 1st Impression
I called trinity, and they said it is the servo, so I need a better one. Which one is a good one for racing that will fit the Trinity?

RE: Trinity Now 1st Impression
We built an outside track and when we run the NOW trucks the steering will get messed up. We find that it won't turn to the right, we pick up the truck, and visually it looks good. I also noticed that when you straighten it that will go off as well. I'm using a 2.4Ghz radio which I use on other trucks, so it is not that. Do you think it is the servo or the hardware? It is a pain, we can't be adjusting it before, during and after a race. More info, I notice the plastic servo arm will bend, so I was thinking of getting an aluminum arm. I also think that the servo is not going back to dead center when the radio is set to center. When I use it, let's say I set the center, the truck goes straight. Even in the house on carpet, and doing laps around the living room, the center will be off after a few laps. So, I adjust it on the radio and then run it again, same thing over and over. There has to be a way to get this to work better, so I was thinking a new aluminum servo arm and a new digital servo. I have no idea what servo is best for a 1/16th truck, any ideas?

RE: Trinity NOW steering
yes, it comes with a servo saver, and it works. I was thinking it may be the servo?? I also see that the arm does bend too, so I was thinking an aluminum and a new servo. What are some of the best servo's? Where can I get an aluminum arm for a 1/18 car?

RE: Trinity Now 1st Impression
The problem we are having is that the front turnbuckles are bending way to fast, we built a dirt track and after one race they are bent. Are there any aluminum ones that will fit the NOW?
