RE: YS 170CDI mount
No, CARF Integral does not have rails in the nose, neither a firewall. You have to make your own mounts. Check the below link, Ivan Kristensen posted the pictures of how he did the rail mount for YS 170 CDI in his Osmose. http://albums.phanfare.com/5187035/3980328_4335453#imageID=70210018 I hope this will help to solve your problem. RE: US Nats FAI Update - FINAL RESULTS POSTED
Chad is out at the flying field, practicing for the WC with his new Xigris. I am posting the pictures from his "spy's" on behalf of him. They are from the FAI Finalist's Meeting where they pick the unknown maneuvers. Nedim

RE: Glow vs. Electric. Let the discussion begin.
ORIGINAL: jessiej
ORIGINAL: nedim Ok, back to the glow vs. electric discussion. It seems to me, it is always the glow guys who are against electric. There exist almost no electric guy... to stay in flying glow. Nedim
I have absolutely nothing against electric or those who... flying electric. Nedim

RE: Ventura- new Quique Somenzini design
Quique's spinner is a standard Tru Turn blue anodized spinner having special cutouts to accomodate a prop hub for Rasa folding propeller blades. That is the exact set-up that Chad Northeast designed and using for about a year so far. Very efficient and powerfull. Now becoming popular though. And things become COOL when Quique uses them eh! RE: Modification on flight time
And for the size of the packs: I use 3500 mah to 4000 in one flight of P09 depending how strong the wind is. Considering you leave 20% reserve capacity for safety you will need 5000 mah batteries. Using lower capacity batteries is to risky at this point. This is why most of the top pilots use 5000's or 5300's. It is very tough but possible to make the weight with electric bipes. If Seba from Italy did it someone else can do it as well!

RE: Car Rental Porgtugal
If it has a bulkhead, the length of the cargo bay is 195 cm. from the bulkhead. The bulkhead is simply a metal railing fence which I believe removable and it is in the cargo version though not the passenger version. Nedim

RE: Webra Speed 61 question
I have seen webra TN carbs with 10 mm. (13/32) throat in Webra 61 rear carburator engines. I am not sure if it will work without fuel delivery problems in front carb engine. We had been trying different pump configuration with TN carb in the past before Webra introduced engines with perry pump and Dynamix carb. It worked ok in full throttle but very hard to adjust idle and had poor mid range. The regular TN carb with 8 mm. throat is still in production with a minor modification in the throttle lever.

RE: Webra Speed 61 question
Jeff, If this carburator has an aluminum body, it is a webra TN carb with in-flight mixture control. It should have a intake throat diameter of 5/16 in. or 8 mm. They are designed to work without a pump. Nedim

Hi Gerard, I suppose so. That was the biggest argument back then. He used a standard ARF and still won the WC. It might be made by EZ especially for him though! Nedim

RE: Then and now side by side pics
Thanks Mike, I am a great fan of Hanno Prettner. I built six Curares in three years. I actually had a chance to compete with Hanno in WC 1985 at Flevohof, Holland. However, I could only placed 71st. after his 1st. place! I will dig out my old albumes to search for more cool pics. Thank you for starting this thread and giving us a chance to post such pictures from the past. Nedim
