RE: engine sugestion for 110
Also the RPMs are with the 18 X 6 was 6900 rpm and the 16 X 8 went to 7400 rpm maybe I'm expecting to much from this plane, I was looking at the Aero Works Cub and it has a 110" wing weights 19lb. to 20lb. and thay suggest a 50cc to 55cc engine. Thanks nextofkin

RE: engine sugestion for 110
The prop size that I have tried are 18 X 6 XOAR and a 16 X 8 Master Airscrew flew the same with both. The 40cc is a SPE 40cc engine that weights about 1/2 lb. less than the Homelite I also have a SV 26cc that might be better because of the size of the prop, 40cc = 20" prop verse a 26cc = 18" prop. Need more power and lighter weight motor. Thanks nextofkin

engine sugestion for 110" cub
I have a 110" wing span Cub, it weights 18 lb. right not it has a 26cc Homelite in it but you have to fly it wide open. It looks like it is struggling until it picks up a little speed witch is not much. What would be a good gas engine in cc? I have a 30cc, a 38cc, and a 40cc to pick from but am leaning to the 40cc. Thanks nextofkin

RE: RCGF Engines
Not looking for 3D but would like to do standard aerobatics (loops, rolls, fly upside down, stall turns, normal war bird maneuvers) and still have power to get out of trouble. Before it is said I know this is not a war bird. It will weight about 16lb. Thanks nextofkin

RE: Tower Hobbies .46 Engine
It's a Hanger 9 PTS P-51 yellow tail, I've flew it before but I pancake it on a landing and distroyed the fuselage just reorder a fuselage and put it back together, ran it today on a 10.5X6 prop idle 3150rpm low end 12000rpm top end tried to tweak the low end and throttle to get idle down to 2500rpm but it kelp cutting off 3150rpm seams the best. nextofkin

RE: GP Slow Poke 40 to electric
I also have a Slow Poke .40 in kit form and was thinking of electric. Seen a video of one and it look like it flew very well, a 2200 mha battery 3 cell and a AXI 2826/12 motor was used, weight had to be added in the nose to balance so why not add another cell make it a 4 cell battery about 2800mha or 3000mha to help with weight and more power. Just a thought nextofkin

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Thanks for help. I would like to thank NM2K for the sugestion he gave me on my Saito 1.20. I went with a APC 15X8 prop, idle rpm is 2400 to 2500 top end is 8700 to 8800 rpm the reason that I did not think of the prop size was I am about the third owner of this plane and engine and this is what was used by everyone else. The APC 15X8 weights at 3.20 oz. and the Zinger 16X8 at 1.65 oz. I think the reason for the lower rpm (was weight)( fly wheel affect) but you think that it would turn more rpm for lighter weight but it works so thank you ED. William

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
I have a Saito 1.20 and I'm have a hard time with it. Have several questions so please answer by number. 1) What rpm is the max it should turn, 16X8 zinger prop with power master 15% fuel, this engine has new bearings and a new piston ring and o-rings valve lash .003 2)What is the low rpm (idle) it should run 3)The low rpm that it will go and still increase rpm smoothly is 2600 to 2750 4)The max rpm is 7400 to 7550 I would think it shoud turn at 9000 to 9500 rpm and idle at 2500 to 2600, been thinking that I might have the cam retarded 1 tooth thats for low rpm and fair idle
