RE: Monster GT running too hot
seems like its an air leak. You might want to check the HSN O-ring. The tank on the MGT is known to leak. Usually the tank will start leaking about half way through. You might try new fuel lines and remove the primer bulb. How does the clutch bell look? (is it purple from heat?) How hot is the CB after running it?

RE: Createx clear coat for lexan instead of faskoat?
all I use is createx. The clear coat works. I get it at perl and other art supply shops. Createx has bond all and a catalyst that you can add if you need better bonding.

RE: buggy action Serious RPMS and some table jumps...
ORIGINAL: Haulin bass Collari modded RB circuit C5 11port with either a ws7II head or an S5 head
I used an offroad C5 head. I think a few guys on the west coast have been running this setup. (so I have been told) I purchased the engine a few years ago. I got a huge discount on the engine at the time. I ran the engine in my veteq for 2 seasons then I let it sit for almost 2 years. She fired right up and ran awesome. [8D]

RE: Traxxas - FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!
ORIGINAL: jmaggio i see both sides and i feel both sides, but lets put it out there,if you have a new r/c car magazine around pick it up and see how many pages are in it,if its 250 pages long , you have 240 pages of false advertisment, and from years of r/c drag racing and knowing what 50 to 75 mph are ,i dont think there is a rtr stadium truck out that will break 35 to 40 mph, my buddy has a rtr xxx-nt,and with the stock gears i guarantee that thing wont go but 25 mph, everbody claims there r/c cars run 50 and 60, but i know what my cars run because i drag race them and i have raced people that swear 50 mph ,but crap my bracket car runs the 1/10th 1/4 mile in 2.00 seconds at 63 mph 123 feet and these guys cars run out of gear before the 132 at about 30 mph,so i guess you can say 95% of r/c car owners are also false.....
My stadium runs in the 50 mph area. Its a 3speed 21. On the box they claim 70mph. I doubt its that fast but I am sure its in the 50's. Its the menace21. My rc10gt is pretty fast also. Its a bump start OS 18 and it has 22/62 gearing.

RE: towerhobbies.com good?
I have been rcing for a long time. 100% of the LHS I have been to through those years push product they have in stock. They try to come up with reasons why not to buy what you originally went for. 100% of those local hobby shops have attitudes/big heads, and their knowledge is limited to the little bubble they live in. I can write a book why I dont support the LHS's. Towers and some other online hobby shops get my money. Its much easier to do business online. You get exaclty what you want with no hassle, and 9 times out of 10 you get it cheaper even with the shipping costs.

RE: NEW DV CAM!!!!!BUT...
you can use whatever you want to edit it. I have premire, pinical , ulead and the one I use most often to bang out quick rc vids in less then 30 minutes...Windows movie maker II. WMMII renders on the fly during editing. If I need to make a DVD movie I would use premire or sony's editing stuff (. I suggest you go search google and get REAL answers.
