RE: Engine problem - piston & sleeve (HELP)
well, when i took my cooling head off a while ago and turned the flywheel, the same thing happened to me. the piston would just lift the sleeve out just like yours. i dont think thats a problem, at least i hope not. it hasn't changed anything about my engines performance since i found that out. the reason that happens is because every engine needs some pinch at the tdc. if not then your engine wont perform well. when you turn the flywheel and it gets to the tdc the piston hits that part of the sleeve where the pinch is, and it just lifts it up alittle. when the cooling head is on though, then it holds the piston down(obviously, lol). i dont think you should be worried about that. is this the 1st time you noticed it. cause im pretty sure that just means you have good pinch. sorry if i didn't explian well, lol.[:D]

RE: Want to have your input about Tornado BB
really the chart is gonna help ya out the most. the xl is only a .16 and a 1 speed. the xp and the bb are basically the same except for the differental type like you had allready said.they are both .18 engines with a 2 speed trans. the bb pro has the better faster motor and the aluminum shocks, but for $90 more than the bb, i personally dont think its worth it. the bb is great, i have one.[:D] thats really the only differences, thats all i can say. hope this helps

for the lowspeed needle, go flush with the collar, which means that the screw should be totally even with the little plastic peice around it. aslo its 2 1/2 turns out on the high speed, and im not too sure on the idel, sorry.

well the point is that the traxxas ones are better, but if you wanna go cheaper then those mip ones are a good choice.

RE: Want to have your input about Tornado BB
my old nitro rustler was not quite as durable, not nearly as good as these. also its parts were expensive. for a regualr plastic shock tower was $10, but for these it like $3.50 for an aluminum one! its great. they are great beginer cars cause they're so cheap to buy and repair. but they are really fast, so if your really new, then be careful.[:D]

RE: new to rc have no clue (4WD Tornado BB Buggie RC)
the clutch springs that come with these cars aren't the best. they will break easily. some peoples are broken when the cars come! the traxxas clutch spring is a much better srping, and it will let you take of faster cause it has higher stall. that means that when you give it gas, it will take an extra millsecond or so to engage, but it will be at higher rpms causeing your car to take off faster. you can get one at your local hobby shop for 7 bucks, but your wasting about 5 of that cause the traxxas clutch shoes always come with them and those dont work with the redcats. but you can get bascially the same spring just different brands but same effect, on tower hobbies, heres the link. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUR89&P=7[:D]

RE: Want to have your input about Tornado BB
im saying this thing is fast so you could prolly beat alot of other cars out there. i htink they can go around 50mph if tuned right and all. they are fast cars. they're good bashers as well. you will need an upgraded clutch bell and spring though, like we had allready siad. i dont think we can really get more specific. its good to look into it, but we've told you what we think. The only other thing i can think of is that the radio system isn't so good, but i like it, it works well enough, but for the price what could you possibly expect. heres some pics of mine. [image][/image] so i really dont know if we can tell you anymore. like i said before its prolly not as good a car as a tamiya or traxxas, in terms of quality, but its much better than those cars for the money. so there ya go, cant tell you much more.

RE: Want to have your input about Tornado BB
i like it, its really fast, and has a ton of power. its cool. upgrade the clutch bell and clutch spring like they said, thats really it. the pipe is pretty cheap, but it works, but if you wanted to you could get the traxxas header and aluminum pipe and it goes even faster. i have them both. they have aluminum shock towers so they are pretty durable, but the towers can bend like any aluminum part, but its a pretty strong fast car. its prolly not as high quality a car as a tamiya or traxxas or other brands like those, but for the money, its about 8x better than those cars. you can prolly beat those cars in a race if tuned right and broken in right, the pipe and header would help. i recommend it. [:D][:D] i haven't even tuned mine yet, but its fast! i say get one. their good.[:D]

RE: wheel adjustments for the bb???
lol, good one. try not to though. trees are mean. the only thing i hit are mailbox posts and one of those poles with a light reflector.lol. arlo1, i have my settings to the wheels pointing striaght foward, but a little bit toe out like ehroof siad. then the wheels lean in alittle. like the top of the wheel is pointing more to the top of the car. it looks cooler.

with the way these guys speak about them, i dont think your hobby shop is gonna want them either. you could try though. but i dont think it will work. [:o] sell them to your neighbors. say, hi im selling these very rare high quality raidos, they are now the latest style in home decoration. if you dont get one, then your house will look bad. and for a limited time only, i will throw in 2 for the price of one!!! thats only $100 for 2 of these great products. lol, ha ha.[:)][:)][:)]

lol, im a packrat too. its really funny, ill keep the boxes that stuff comes in, like when clermont shipped me some parts a couple weeks back, i kept the box and had nothing to do with it. i like to kkep alot of stuff, most of which is crap, lol.[:D] as for the radio, are they really that bad, are they at least anybetter than the ones that come with the redcat cars? 5 bucks seems really cheap and bad.[:o] poor radios, they have no use in life, except as dust collectors....[:o][:(][:(][:(], lol

RE: wheel adjustments for the bb???
okay, i figured it all out, thanks guys. they look cool now. they lean in a little and point staight foward. but now i have a different problem. when i press on the brakes or pull the throttle all the way open, i can see the engine move just a tiny but. like the throttle lingage will pull the throttle closed and then when the little collar thing with the lowspeed needle is all the way closed it will then move the engine, not like the screws move, the engine stays but i can see it being pulled along with the throttle linkage. have you ever seen a car do a dino test, when the switch gears the engine moves, well its like that but very small. thanks for any help.

wheel adjustments for the bb???
I was wondering how you adjust the toe in and toe out on the front wheels of the bb. also how do i adjust the camber, i think thats whats its called, like the wheel slant. my car looks really dorky in the front, lol. the wheels point outwards on both wheels and lean outwards. also would it be okay to turn the bb into a 2 wheel drive? all you need to do is take out one of the driveshafts. i could do wheel burns and cool stuff. not forever though, just a couple times for fun.[:D]
