'77 F150 dash lights...
I've had dash/gauge lights go as I'm sure we've all had at one point. Well,I'm stumped and am reaching out for a helping hand. The fuse was bad so I figured cool, dont have to tear the dash apart! Fuse not the problem, checked wiring & other fuses and eventually went ahead and replaced all 7 bulbs and still no light. Pops figured the "board" was bad (?).... Where should I go from here? New gauge cluster?... I would love any help. Thank you.

New parts dont fit old Tornado.
Ordered new spur gears for my Tornado but the one way bearing thing is to small and the new gears have a center hex indentation thats way bigger than the old gears, other than that everthing fits up. What part do I need or would it just be better to buy a whole new 2 speed tranny setup and drop that in? My Tornado is from '04 lol.... I'vegone through a couple websites but not exactly sure what will and wont fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tweaked the bumper and broke a plastic brace behind the shock tower (big pop) and a knuckle but the front arms were good as new.... Two bills...... My Redcat tornado... Gears strip if you get crazy... Proline dirt hawg dont help.

Let's breath a little life back in to this one. Finally got everything together and gunna finish this up real quick and get some pics and vids up. Not sure how much of a SCT It'll be but it should look ok. The Proline dirt hawgs stick out a little more than I thought.

RE: Worn out motor?
Stupid question would this SH .18 make more power if I replaced it with a new piston/sleeve combo but P&P it before restoring? More than the O.S.?

RE: Worn out motor?
Yeah the compression isnt the greatest when hot so it might be worn out come to think of it. I've been around nitros for many years now and this sh.18 has always been a bit finicky, got better after sealing but still a problem child. Thinking a new O.S 18cvrx would make a good bday present to myself [:D] . So far the only problems I've had with this Caldera are the front knuckles (probley the bigger tires and constant crashing) and the engine.

RE: Worn out motor?
I have already gone through it and sealed it up. Still has decent compression when cold, runs great for quite a while then eventually overheats....

Worn out motor?
Have about 2 1&2 gallons through the stock .18 and during this 90 degree weather it's hard to run no matter how much I richen it. Maybe 2 tanks with the body on then it's so hot it doesn't like to start. Maybe new piston/sleeve?

RE: RC controlled 1/10Th scale buggy's, truggys trucks and everything in between
Well said guys! Right off the bat I noticed a difference between my old tornado and my new caldera 3.0 when it came to durability. I've had a few of the expensive brands and never recall having problems(I miss my old team associated T4st so much) and still have a nitrohawk and tmaxx that need parts but continue to stay on the shelf cause my caldera seems to be getting all the attention [:D] . I picked up a redcat P40 warhawk plane and it seems to be pretty well built and everything works great but I'm not even gunna try till I learn to fly. Gives me an excuse to buy another rc plane though right? Kinda really want an 1/8 scale buggy though... (or a new 30-30).

RE: New to planes!
Hi Andy! Yup,I'm down here in Klamath, nice to know RCU'ers are closer than I thought. Unfortunatly, just checked and I have to work till 3:30 on saturdays [:(] ,hate working weekends. I'll check your site and maybe plan some future travels (the ol' C4 and I love road'trippin!) . acdii, one of my bad habbits is acting/saying before thinking and ending up purchasing a P-40 warhawk RTF thats an inexpensive foam setup w/ 4channel and stuff. I figured for $165 w/ free shipping what the heck (it'll be here tomorrow). Has a 25" wingspan so its not real big, watched a couple of video's on youtube and I'm quite impressed. The same company also has a couple trainers for a $100 more thats a much higher quality setup so I'm gunna look in to those. Once I get good at this then I'll probably switch to nitro and get a nice fancy plane. I'm sure I'll have a small collection of planes to mix in with my trucks & buggies soon...soon. Thanks panther, seems you cant learn enough and knowledge is power! [:D] Thanks all.

RE: New to planes!
Well, did some home work and found out one of the clubs is out at the sportsman park bout 20 miles from home and have a nice huge setup with trainers and trainer planes and seem very welcoming so thats comforting. A one time $10 fee and $40 a year fee seems pretty dang reasonable to have access to quite a bit! They also have a nice shooting range bout 1/2 a mile away and thats a big plus. Gunna cruise out and see whats up. Thanks again guys [;)] .

RE: caldera 3.0 - wheels don't turn on the ground
The ones you want to take a peak at are the drive cups coming from your center trans to your front and rear diffs, they have the little screws in them. Even after threadlocking I had one come loose on me... It happens...

Good lord are they really that hard to fly? Sounds like this will be lots of fun! Seems these clubs are mostly older folk, not sure how they'll take to a young'in (I'll be 29 in july). Small towns are like that, maybe I should buy another plane and learn on my own. The hobby shop and a plane flying customer weren't to kind to questions,or helpful with answers.... Gonna try some emails to get my foot in the door. Not giving up! Learning to fly....

Caldera 3.0! Got a over a gallon on mine and going strong. It finally broke after hitting a full sized truck at around 35-40 mph. $15 in parts and it's like nothing happened. Or one of the 1/8th scale models.

RE: Duratrax Maximum MT nitro truck
Sounds great! You and your son will have a blast. Only other things I could recommend would be to ditch the AM radio/reciever for a 2.4 ghz setup for around $40 or atleast a failsafe if you keep the AM (cant remember how many run-a-ways I had with those old AM's). And decent servos are pretty cheap nowdays so thats a plus. Gotta say those pics bring back lotsa memories [:D] ,take care [;)] .

My step uncle used to have one of these many years ago. In stock form it wasnt very fast but after a tire & pipe upgrade it got some pep in its step. My nitrohawk still left it in the dust especially on a small track but I dont ever recall him having many problems with it. Kinda wish I woulda bought it from him, yours looks fantastic!
