RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
All, I would like to hear your comments on the preferred Wind S incidence measurements found and if severe downthrust was introduced with good results by anyone? Regards Danie

RE: full composite Wind S pro -Sebart
Hi Chester, I'm looking to buy this beauty and would love to know your findings with the Ulsamer Propeller and the Pletti Advance 30-10 motor... What size prop is that, the 21x13W? Also general flying characteristics after spending some time with this plane? I have the Wooden wing version at current... Regards Danie

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi Neil, Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. I'm set on adding these thingymagics and would like to just ask another quick question around the "best" shape / profile for these... Currently I've drawn two flavours in Coreldraw, one starting around the same place as yours from the leading edge, and one shorter version starting just befor the highest point on the profile / airfoil of the wing tip. Which one should be the "wise" option to go with, and / or is it purely a matter of esthetics? Also would it matter if I've got a rounded shape for the top edge of the winglet? Regards Danie

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi matt13, Please could you indicate any further findings with regards to the winglets (wingtip modification)? I am in the process of wanting to have similar ones laser cut for my Wind S Pro. Also, what did you find as the easiest measurement approach to have these completely parallel with the fuselage centre / join line? Regards Danie

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi Dave, I hope you could assist me. I am looking at improving exactly this issue of my Integral, namely: less weight (especially in the wing panels). Would it be possible to assist me in the process involved to get a set of these Spark modified wings for the Integral out to South Africa? I will great ly appreciate any help as I want to revive the old Integral as the capabilities of this airframe in strong winds are phenomenal.. Regards Danie

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi All, With regards to the right thrust standard on this kite, are there any expert opinions on it being too much, or too little... We have noticed a slight tendency where we believe a little less right thrust is on the cards? Anyways, just thought I'd ask... Also, I realise this would vary with different props, so I should ask what props are being used to be included in the reply posts? Regards Danie

Much Appreciated Neil... What Pletti are you running, and what sort of temperatures are you getting down under :-) Should you wish to, please share your power plant equipment specs? Cheers Danie

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi Pablo, I saw your posted pictures of your build. I have the same Plettenberg power plant and am very interested to know whether you perhaps have the template you used to create the firewall from. I would really appreciate any and all help aforded by you. Take care Danie

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi all, Please could you indicate whether there is a possibility of sharing your Pletty (30-9 / 30-10) motor mount template with me. I will really appreciate as I recently bought this bird and want to start with the motor mount building... Plus being lazy [:)] Any other assistance / recommendations around the building are more than welcome. Regards Danie

RE: Setting your E-idle. What's your trick.
Hey guys, would any of the clever people on this thread be able to share a typical THR -> THR mixing setup with me? This for a JR 9303 TX, MASTERSPIN 99 Opto and a Pletty? Things like offset values, ESC acceleration and endpoints settings comes to mind, but I know very little as yet as I am only starting off with E-Pattern flying. Converted my 2-stroker to E very recently... Any feedback will be hugely appreciated Danie

RE: Use of 2.4Ghz Equipment in F3A Models
Hey all... Glad to see all you people have also jumped to the plate.... (as opposed to stepping..) My setup, so far glitch free... Integral with re-inforced carbon around the landing gear area. Radio used is the JR 9X II with DSM2 Spektrum Module and AR9000 main receiver with two remote receivers... Safe flying.... and don't do what I did as a newest party trick: Use the throttle kill switch as the flight mode switch... ;-( Cheers Danie

RE: What does a beginner practise?
Hi tIANci, I would recommend practicing flying the plane more and having the plane fly you less... in other words practice overall control and the once in control... get the flight line imprinted in all flying, even when you practice only portions of the schedule! This will prove invaluable once you move into competition flying... Just my suggestion... ..... and most important - ALWAYS have fun doing it!!! ..... Regards Danie

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi again to all... Please tell me you guys have an answer for fixing/curing a stress fracture ("bubble") that developed above my left landing gear after my spat came loose and ruinrd my day... it seems like the "bubble" is only on the outer gelcoat and that there must have been some cavity between this and the carbon inside? Thanking you in advance Danie

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Hi guys, My Integral is now completed and awaits her maiden flight! See picture attached... The power plant is still an OS 140RX with a Webra Tuned pipe attached... The CG is curently just on the 170 to 175 mm mark and any suggestions here would be appreciated? Also, are there any traits I need to worry about for the first flight as this kite will be my first 2x2 experience from my trusty Leo 110... Keep it real Danie from SA

RE: Dual RX Battery & Switch
Hi all, I am new to the RX Batand regulator usage and am getting a Duralite regilator - 5.1V 7.5 A rated. The question is: Would it be OK AND stable to use a Flightpower Li-Po 2S RX bat for driving the receiver through this regulator?

There is a good replacement made by World Models. This one doesn't have any bearings, but rotates on a ball that fits into the side flanges... if that makes any sense?

Hi there, Try Justengines in the UK, where Paul and Jenny Landels will gladly and very efficiently assist in building you any custom header you need. I have had two made for different planes using my OS .91 FX. http://www.justengines.co.uk about 35 pounds sterling!

RE: URGENT: MK soft mount problem. NATS in 2 days
Hi All, I am in the process of putting together the CMPro Leo 110. Is this MK Soft Mount the one that ships with this plane and should Ibe cautious of using the mount consisting of 4 rubbers with my OS 91 FX? Regards Danie

RE: CMPRO LEO 110
Thanx for the reply Jan, I also "had" the Swallow EX 90 flying for about 10 flights with the same OS .91 FX and tuned pipe set-up... that is until a new JR 539 servo (elevator) packed up mid-air and subsequently spelled the end of this great flyer... You are right, at this stage it looks that the Leo might even come out lighter than the Swallow did... worried about the lack of visible glue though? Please keep me in the loop as to how yours turned out... and I will do the same. Cheers Danie South Afrika

I have received my new Leo 110 and need to know if anyone has seen the performance with an O.S. 91 FX with tuned pipe? I need to decide if worthwhile fitting this engine... Flying at high altitude in South Africa...

RE: Swallow
Hi All, I also have a Swallow EX 90 that I maidened the past week-end. What a wonderful machine. My version has some glas work at the weak spot mentioned (wing seat area). I have an OS 91FX with a Just Engines purple pipe and swing a 14x8 APC Pattern Prop. This setup seems to provide more than enough power with a reasonable flow rate through the schedule. I seem to need about 2degrees right thrust as wel as 2 degrees down! This bird is amazingly stable and the incidence of both the main wing and elevator is around the degree mark. You need to have the CG at plus 150 mm from leading edge though... Let's hope my beefed up version lasts... Kind regards to all Cheers
