RE: 3rd boat. flat deck 3-point hydro
tim...good to catch up with you...i am also well under way with a small 3 point...i am very happy at the moment..the only real change i made was i inverted my tt46pro and made my eng tower to slide back and forth so i could adjust the cg o the boat...i have a 31inch dumas swamp buggy..i had a 60tt on it and it went great..i put a tt90 on and it went very well but it did go with its nose in the air...that kit has no provision to move the eng tower to change the cg...i bought the 60 pland of ceph and hope to start the large size soon..but i wish to try the small one first..lookin for anty problems..i have a boating friend who is into hydro racing big time( not air boats) and he has been helping me...i will put up some pics soon as i get organized..i have been away for a whle ..now its time to get back into it....bob

RE: 3rd boat. flat deck 3-point hydro
tim...just studying your set up for a 3 point hydro...i am about to embark on this type of airboat myself...i have a tt60..what length and width would you suggest..looking at your hull size i was thinking of 18 x 24 ..keeping in mind the kit of selph is 29" long..i alsowish to make the engine mount slide back and forth so i can adjust the cg .. i think that is very importent i have a big swamp buggy and i cant adjust the cg without putting a heap of lead on it...it drags its rear end along puts the rudder mount under water and that slows it down to much...your thoughts much appreciated...bob

RE: Spektrum DX7 with Water
i use the dx7 on all my boats but you must run the mr3000 receiver.... never had a problem...i did have issues with the other style receivers ..but since the switch..no worries..and i run 6 boats on my tx ..from mono's to gas and nitro airboats.....bob

RE: is this prop any good
before you go choppin the guts out of it...try it standard...i use this prop on my 48 inch mono.. standard zen ...qd steel pipe...and its the best prop i have used i have used other props with less succes...using this prop solved the rear of my boat skippin in the turns..keeps my boat in a straight lins...i am not fighting the wheel..and although my boat is not the fastest it is one of the most consistant winners...so before you chop it up give it a go....bob

RE: another big dumas swamp buggy
well...finally got the boat finished...took it out to the water..and very surprised how well it goes..first the spray rails on this boat were a must..to much water over the boat without them..and dont know the reason why..took out the tt46pro and put in a tt60.....moved engine foward and that moved the cg of the boat..when i lift the boat from the water i use the prop nut and the boat is perfectly level...the cg is just in front of the servo compartment...overall the boat is very stable..it turns like it is on rails...and it has very good speed...overall i am very happy..i am trying to get some vidio..but i dont have a camera..maybe santa will be kind to me...thanks for all those who helped me with my boat.....merry christmas to all and good luck with ur projects...bob

RE: Exaust preasure
i use the a one way valve from the pet shop..put it in the line from the muffler preasure nipple to the tank..so as the air is pumped from the muffler to the tank the one way valve lets the air into the tank but not back out...with fuel foaming..in a ltr of mixed fuel i put 4 DROPS of armouroil..we use it down here for the vinyl of our cars for protection...you can also use silicon spray...these two ideas i use on my tt60 dumas air boat with great success...bob

RE: another big dumas swamp buggy
welll...took the boat out today and the spray rails worked great not much water on the boat at all..i had to move the tank up to the top behind the motor... could not get a decent run with the tank underneath...i could put a one way valve in the preasure line i beleive it works well that way ... but when you shut the eng down the preasure floods the engine...if i could solve this problem i would put the tank back under the motor...today the throttle servo came loose in the servo tray and put me out of action ..but i will have it going in a couple days...i think i will look around for another dumas kit..but i would make some seriouse changes..ie strengthen the back transome for the rudder thicker base material for servo mounting...and bigger radio box compartment thats just for starters....will be back in the water by sat i hope....bob

RE: another big dumas swamp buggy
well..took the boat to the water..not to well i am afraid...1/ to much water thrown up from the sides of the boat kept shutting eng down.. water in carby ..2/the rudder was to long... the boat sat down to far...3/ the fuel tank underneath got to about 1/2 full and the eng would stop...4/ the thunder tiger 46 was way under powered would NOT get the boat up on the plane..so first put spray rails on the side of the boat..this made an enourmouse difference..reduced the water splashing into the eng and the eng stay alive...cut and thinned the rudder heaps..this got its bum out of the water more....put the fuel tank on top behind the end ..this kept the eng running to the last drop...and to get it on the plane i changed the 46 for a 60...the only concern i have is the 60 might be to top heavy...so i moved the tank back under the eng...i have not tried it out yet... this week i hope..i changed the angle of attack on the eng ..but that made little or no difference..i did move the eng foward on its mounts 1/2 inch to try to bring the nose down a little..(no vidio because no camera)...but i will keep you informed of how it goes..i think with the 60 its gonna go...bob

RE: Dumas big swamp buggy
wow it went better than mine...i have a water rudder on mine and it slowed the boat down to much...since then i have shortened and thinned the rudder blade and that made a BIG difference but my boat still gets to wet with spray...i am in the process of putting on spray rails to force the water away from the boat...mine is powered by a thunder tiger 46 pro the speed is great..and turning is terrific i just have a couple little things to overcome..i will post a vidio soon...bob
