RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
Hi Again ... I know this has been discussed over and over again... but please explain this for me: If I move the right switch from N to 1 this is 3D mode right ? At this point the engine goes to full speed..... and i should be able to control the collective pitch by the stick which used to be the "speed-control" right ? What am i doing wrong when i still have to adjust the CP on the pot-meters on top of the TX (in "1"-mode).... Is the throttle-CP mixing done in the TX or in the RX ? One of the dip-switches says "CCPM" <-> "Normal" .... does this mean that it's electical CCPM and not mechanical via the Swashplate ? I've been out of the heli-business for a long time ... but after 4 times in china within 3 month I kind of revied my heli interest.... It's realy cheap out there compared to DK.....

Can anyone recommend a receiver which is better quality but compatible with tthe Walkera TX. I mean if I want to change the RX i need something which can do the mixing ? or is the mixing doing in the TX - and there I can use any RX ?

HI - I agree - the standard assembly stinks --- As my CP manipulator arm was bend from the factory - and the delivered allenkeys where so soft the the screws where destroyed - I took my 35 totally apart and reassembled it ... I'm a heli noob - but now there are no vibrations any more (before it was shaking very badly) - what does this say about Walkera.... My battery did'nt work and at least one servo has som jitter.... Well - it's almost ok - I balanced the rotorblades - but one of them has to much lift ! - this should be adjusted by the short pitch manipulator arm for each blade - right ??? With a 1500 mAh Lipo batt the balance seems fine - less than this would make it very tail heavy... I will modify my TX to support mode 2 - anything else doesn't seem logic to me (even though I have to change both cable-routing and cable-lenght in the tx)..

[OperaGhost] Thx for your help ... it's much appreciated... Actually i'm having problems charging my battery ... Charger says "green" - but only about 9.2 - 10.2 volts and no power on the batt... Charger seems to work ... if I load it with a power-resistor the ligth turns red and resistor gets warm .... So I guess it's yet another faulty Batt. Noj

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
bhermer & OperaGhost Thanks a lot for some usefull information... I don't understand why the manual didn't explain what you just did... Maybe they don't expect newbees to buy a helicopter before talking to a pro... Have anyone tried to make a battery-pack from Nokia BL-4C 3.7 volt Li-Ion batteries ?? (3*3,7v = 11.1 volt (700mAh) or 3*3,7v || 3*3,7v = 11,1 volt (1400 mAh)... I know it's not the solution for price - but I have lots and lots of those batts... so I just wonder if they can deliver enough power... What is the differece between LI-Polymer and LI-Ion ?? can they be charged with the same charger ? What is the typical powerconsumption of the standard #35 motor ??

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
Hi - I'm a total heli newbee ... have a plane but never learned to fly it (crashed 6 times) .. well I was bored at work 2 weeks ago.. so I just bought a Walkera 35 ... received it today... The manual doesn't tell anything about how to adjust the Gyro or the switches on the back of the transmitter.. anyone has some informative links on getting started... maybe on the level of basic heli terms ect... the transceiver system is 6 ch... anyone knows what the 2 potentiometers and switches are for ??.. the manual is in english but the layout of the motor control curves sucks... can anyone explain or give links to what I need to know to (well maybe not fly) - at least not crash big time... What is the difference between the walkera gyro and the "better" onces from HobbyJanpan ?? I think I ordered the "medium" one - but got a walkera ... // BR - DK-heli-noob
