RE: new more powerful 450 motor from hobbymate
wow. that's really surprising. its 450 watt. I have run the scorpion #6 on my align 35x esc and it works beatifully. the scorpion is 525 watt. I have been busy wrenching on my Pro. I had a nasty little wreck with it.[:o] Its almost rebuilt so when that's done...I will fully test this esc and motor. I will install the ubec as well in light of what happen to Augie. Bench test with the motor using the esc and bec coming soon. I will film the test. and report my findings. stay tuned.

RE: new more powerful 450 motor from hobbymate
Brian, Make sure you program high and low stick for throttle. check all solder points. If the esc still makes beeps when plugged in then it is still functional in some way. I sent you a pm regarding this matter. I will test this esc and motor today and see what I get.
ORIGINAL: TCipolla You can run a 500 on 2 3S packs right? I'll most likely go with the 450 though.
Yes, you can run the 500 on 2 3S. they should be matching brands, of the same capacity and discharge.

Just came back from the field this morning with 2 packs. She is now perfectly trimmed. 1 turn on the swash links and 4 clicks on the radio (dropped the gain 2 points) and voila PERFECTION[:D] I got alot more comfortable with her this morning. She is one helluva beast!
ORIGINAL: TCipolla So I've gotta ask...450 Pro or 500 ESP?
Both...defintely both. lol But if I had to pick one out of the two.... than its the 500ESP. But honestly you cant go wrong with either one.

RE: tail servo setup
ORIGINAL: rc-jj on the setup advice for the tail servo it is suggested to have servo horn at 90 degrees to horizontal - i have tried every servo horn and still cannot get any of them to be right on the money . I think you are not supposed to put any trim on rudder servo (i am using a gy401), so if servo arm is a little off is that o.k?
If you cant find 90 on any of the horns you have you can use SUBTRIM on RUDDER to get to 90. your radio will remember that the subtrim is neutral.

RE: 600 canopy question
I dont own either helicopters but by looking at helidirect's website. they have 2 seperate listing for the canopies. one for nitro and the other for electric. I guess its safe to say that they will be different in some small way.

RE: Trex 450 Pro build
here's her first outing on the field. I'm not in tune with her yet. some tweaking is needed on the swash. I will have to order the swash leveler to get it precise. some minor tuning with the gyro is needed as well. Overall I'm freaking pumped. RE: Trex 450 Pro build
this kit came with the 450M motor. its a true outrunner. no can on this one. I'm very very impressed with this kit. I have installed everything and the head is completely set up. I didnt want to stick the ar6110e inside the frame and mounted it outside of the frame for strong signals. My plans are to purchase the ar6200 with the sateillte receiver and than mount it on the inside. All that's left is the tail setup for and its ready.
