RE: CMPRO LEO 110
yup put some pictures checho4.. I found out the servo tray of elevator and rudder are too close.. it touched each other if I set the throw to max..cause some binding.. maybe its wise to just put servo of elevator at the at the tail, might help balancing also with bigger engine at front..

RE: of my fellow skydiversskydiver pictures
ORIGINAL: ennyka Here or some pics of my micro skydiver from RCSkydiving.com looking for a good landing. This diver weighs in at only 9.8 ounces and is 9 inches tall. because of its small size it doesn't need much of a plane to bring it up. I use the E-Flite Mini Ultra Stick with the 480 motor and the plane doesn't even feel it. I would like you to meet MJ (Micro Jumper)
ennyka ,look like a very nice little jumper there.. way to go.. just 480 motor poweree can bring her up wow..pretty handy stuff.. can it dive well in windy day?

RE: The "Real McCoy!!"
hey skybill.. good to know real skydiver also does rc skydive [:D].. and what a track record you have 3000++ jumps... wow but anyway I prefer rc skydive.. safer for me, just in case the chute won't open [:D].. well actually more than 5 times already the chute won't open..

RE: what is "pattern" flying
well I left pattern flying years ago.. went into "more" exciting 3D.. broke planes a lot of planes like nobody business along the way (Balsa, foamies), and had to make DIYplanes to 3D.. [:D] Now I'm back into pattern and training seriously for competetion standard... less broken parts, and more relaxing.. satisfaction comes when you think you fly better than yesterday [:D]

RE: Thunder Tiger 120 Pro question.
I will be using mufler tuned pipe for os 90.. will it be enough? that's the only pipe I have, and I like to start the engine in two days.. need to run it -in before practicing f3A leo 110 thanks in advance for your answers guys nubli

RE: 3D
yup going 3D means you are ready for more serious crashes.. one little slip of finger move will easily bring disaster.. be it balsa, or depron planes.. depron is cheaper to repair... going EPP planes less headache as it can survive crashes to certain extent.. I would say going simulator first, until you gain confident and then it's you choice either balsa, foam/depron or epp.. my 2 cent only cheers

RE: SPAD Swept Wing Canard
chrisspad is correct.. you need a bigger rudder for knfeedge flying.. and I suggest add rudder just infront of the engine and add more profile fuse, so thtracking for knife edge would be better.. or maybe experimenting with front rudder around the canard area..(maybe shuld call it cudder as in canard+rudder) should be interesting to experiment.. but reflection will be super sensitive.. just my opinion[8|]

RE: My first JUMP!!!
Good story RLR, any pictures so far? like to see how your naked skydiver look like[:D] anyway I made one, including sewing the gitchelchute myself.. it still in testing phase.. made few successful jumps, few landings on trees and in ponds [:D] I guess I'll have to add more weight like you did.. less than 1 KG is not very manouverable stories about my build here http://malaysia-rc.com/index.php?topic=1722.0 (but to see pics you got to register as member) here are some pics from me[:D]

RE: YAK 54 Crash during maiden flight
Zul, should be ok la... 3mm down not much la.. just the fuel tank level will be a bit higher by 3mm.. may be flooding the carb a bit, just try... you may have to retune the needle.. or lower the tank also by 3mm.. it solve the little 'problem'. just make sure the thrust line is same not going up thrust by 3mm then will be problem when you give more throttle.. good luck buddy..

RE: YAK 54 Crash during maiden flight
Hard to tell the reason why behave like that. If you checked everything before flight, all are OK, then might be aileron loosen uP, during takeoff vibration, or servos gone mad/loss connection with receiver.. It happened to me once, checked everything OK, then punch for take off, drifted left and cannot counter.. upo checking the dual servo, one of the servo on the left, is not screwed in and popep off...just imagine 90 powered scale plane at full take off speed.. whew almost collecting balsa dusts.. sorry for what happen to you.. check you antenna also, might be loose or broken wire inside reciever... who knows

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD
sounds like your battery need to be replaced. i replaced mine when that happenned. your might have shorted the battery accidentally or you flew your heli till the battery dried out. when i replaced mine it's doing fine.. keep flying time below 10 minutes, or below 8 minutes for better battery maintenance.

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD
orlando, i agreed with gtxslotcar. turn everything off first( unplug the heli battery, then switch off the tx.) the left stick on mode two radio is "rudder" . without the throttle up, rudder stick won't respond to control input.

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD
gtx nice vid you got there. I am working on my vid and uploading it now. i'll tell you later where to view the vid. it's 14 meg shot by myself while flying the heli in my living room. the video camera is velcro'ed to my cap. the camera doesn't have zoom feature and no sound. i shot this on my seventh flight using lama2. never flown heli before in my 25 years of rc involment.... all the while i flew planes, all sort of planes.

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD
i tried to answer about ground effect; 1. it is gravitational effect when your model heli or plane are close to ground. some of our control input won't be effective, the gravity will pull down everything, we have to fight it. don't be too close to ground, it might spells "disaster"... 2. that's why 30 cm off the ground or 15" will be a safe start for our lama 2 as suggested by the manufacturer. beleive me i broke one blade and disfigured the other three... already lol.... any body got video footage on their lama 2... tomorrow i'm going to shoot 10 minutes video and going to post it here.... got any server that i can park the vid? i'm too happy with my lama 2. within one week i'm able to fly it.. my first experience with heli (actually i flew planes for 25 years already and no gut to try heli) thanks.
