Sounds like your problem is the idle screw make sure the opening in your carb is 1-1.5mm if it looks like its open to much than dont even attempt to start it it will take off. I would check out ali's videos he has some great tuning videos for begginers. http://www.youtube.com/alishanmao

RE: Good beginner Nitro RC car/truck
With that budget all your gonna get is a redcat, exceed, hsp stuff like that there decent people knock them but they dont even own one so there not credible... there decent little cars and great for a first car so you can learn tuning and the basics on it without ruining an expensive motor.

RE: Why the AMA is not growing...........
i totally agree all the old school guys think there better than everyone else because their plane is worth a few thousand dollars... well thats their probly for spening thousands of dollars and some kid comes over with his 150$ plane that can do the same thing as the thousand dollar plane and they end up getting kicked off the field or yelled at ect... its just rediculous dont be jealous that a 150$ plane has more capabilities than your hole in the pocket plane.

RE: Is nitrorcx a good website
It's called bad luck i've ordered so many things off the net and fortunatly i've never had one problem with shipping no lost or even late packages. I wouldnt blame the place you ordered it from cause its not thier fault the package is late. It's the shipping companys fault.

RE: Beware of redact service!
I've never had a problem nor have i heard of any problems like this from redcat if i were you i would have talked to one of the many redcat employees on this forum. Instead of bashing them on a very public forum before getting the issue resolved to your satisfaction. instead of sitting there getting angry about the situation you should have called them back and asked about the servo and battery. To me it really sounds like you crashed it... but hey you ended up getting the parts anyway right? Redcat is in my opinion the best brand that makes "low end" rc's and there usually high quality im sure theres a lemon here and there but that goes with all company's.

RE: I have to know why..
people just say there junk because they are cheap and redcat isnt a well known rc brand yet but they are growing very fast and people are starting to realize that redcat is a good quality brand. i think its just jealousy and anger cause people are spending tons of money on thier traxxas,Duratrax's,losi's,associated's ect.... and redcats are winning races against them...

RE: she wont start
try putting a few drops of fuel right into the motor from the glow plug hole and try to fire it. and make sure your glow plug is tight but not to tight and a 1-1.5mm gap in the carb.

RE: just wondering
Well said. In my opinion redcat is way better there comming out with so many new models its hard to keep up and there great quality. there parts support is also alot better most of the himoto sites are in hong kong, and other places over seas so it takes a long time for replacement parts to be delivered.

RE: Muffler for your nitro
I would just get the one from redcat and also get the aftermarker manifold they have the stock one is pretty restrictive. You'll deffinatly notice a difference in sound and power.

RE: Nitro RC starts in gear HELP !!
well first of all the car is always in gear.. You had the idle set to high and thats why the car took off make sure the opening in the carb is very very small 1-1.5mm before starting it or it will take off. It might be running to lean and not getting enough fuel for the car to start. A bad glowplug will also make your car not run properly and not want to start Also your clutch spring my be damaged but i doubt that i think its just a tuning issue.

RE: New Buggy - Truck
Well if you have the money electric is the way to go but it gets costly lipos arent cheap and if your not familiar with how to charge them and take care of them properly they wont last very long youll need a lipo charger with balancer which again isnt cheap and youll need at least 2-4 lipos buying all of that stuff is going to be very expensive probly more than you paid for the car. But if you have the money go for it. if your going to go for a 1/8th buggy i would deffinatly get the nitro version. I cant say much about the backdraft ive never driven one but ive heard very good things about them and ali has a great product review on them you should check out if you havent already.

RE: dead at full throttle
Most likley your idle screw isnt set right and the carb. is probly closing when you hit the brake causing the car to die. Adjust the idle screw untill it doesnt close when you hit the brakes or just adjust the trim on the Radio.

RE: Is nitrorcx a good website
ORIGINAL: drivedog Beware Nitrorcx is a total ripoff !!! They sell cars that do not work !!! I have two cars that have problems and nitrorcx will not help me. I purchased a brushless buggy that shutters like a junkie on CRACK. The shuddering seems to be very common on these cars because there forum is full of complaints. I also have a 1/18 scale gas buggy and the servos twitch worse than a junkie on crack ??? There is a very small man there his name is andy and is worthless. He called me a crook and now refuses to deal with my problem. This small person has even went as far as to have me removed from the help forum ??? Let the buyer beware nitrorcx is a rip off and does not stand behind there defective cars. You can get the same deals with namebrand cars from Tower Hobbies for almost the same price, the only difference is Tower Hobbies will back up there sales and make the customer happy. Good luck to all those battling nitrorcx for refunds !!!
I've never had any issues with nitrorcx as far as broken products. I've also bought 2 cars from them and didnt have a problem with either of them. They have some of the best prices around and there growing to be a very respectable website. If something is wrong with your product you bought from them its not thier fault its the makers fault nitrorcx doesnt actually build and package the items. Use live support or call them and they will take care of your issues.
