You can watch the screw, and when you see it turning and going down into the tube it making it leaner, when its getting closer to the top of the lil tube you'll making it richer. I think Clockwise is leaner counter clock wise is richer.
ORIGINAL: mfracer@itctel.com Just to give everybody an update on my run away Tornado BB Buggy Redcat was very easy to work with & sent me a RTM Tornado & the needed parts to repair & also a new radio & only asked me to send back what I didn't use. I did install a fail safe this time so I should never have a run away again. [:)] My hat is off to Redcat Racing & their staff. Rock on Redcat Drivers!!! Mike [:D]
Feel very lucky!! I bought a BB eariler this year and on the 2nd tank of gas it just took off, and crashed into a shopping cart return Rack. I contacted them and NOTHING they didn't help me 1 bit. I still have a busted up BB.

Hello all, I was bashing my Volcano and noticed that the front wheels was the only one pullin. The rears have stopped. No missing dogbones, and when I spin the rear tires everthing turns and the tranny spins with it. Have I blown the tranny? Does Redcat make steel tranny gears, Mines plastic and is needing replaced. Thanks
ORIGINAL: AllAboutFunHobbies Hot glow plugs burn hotter = engine runs hotter Medium glow plugs burn cooler = cooler engine temps, could lean out alittle more. Most of the redcats run good on medium plugs. Col glow plug burns even cooler = cool engine temps, work good with higher nitro fuel, like 30% or 33% You want Medium plug for your small block redcats May want hot plug for your big block engines, more fuel flowing into engine needs higher temp glow plug to burn properly.
ORIGINAL: Hibityhupla!
ORIGINAL: harley75 i thought turning it in make it shift later and out makes it sooner i mustt be think of a something else thanks will try
It does. In means later, out means sooner. The allen screw puts pressure on a spring that holds the little metal slide in until you hit a certain rpm. Less pressure = earlier shift point. Is the engine getting high rpms? if not try to lean it out 1/4 turn.....might make a world of difference.
Well thats odd, I screwd mine all the way in and it changes sonner.

You can adjust it, screw it in to make it shift sooner. Make small turns, Cause a small adjustment makes a difference.
ORIGINAL: Hibityhupla!
ORIGINAL: amf66 My cousin's Tornado BBs shock towers keep bending a lot with the slightest crash. On Redcat's website they sell something called "Shockproof Planks" that look exactly like the stock shock towers. Are these really worth the money or do they bend like the stock towers?
They will still bend. Unfortunately all aluminum will bend eventually. Plastic will take the shock and go back to the original shape but you have a chance of snapping it. I would suggest just buying a few plastic ones for the same price as the one aluminum one. Or maybe buy a sheet of carbon fiber and cut your own. Carbon fiber will hold up better then either of the others.
I actually made a shock tower for mine. I had a good grade of aluminum and made it thicker at the top, It doesn't flex or bend anything.

Check ur servos, I had one clicking on mine tonight, when I was adjusting the throttle, It was constantly clicking as long as I held the throttle down. also, set the truck off the ground and crank it, run it, that way you can investigate the sound, while its running.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
Yes the same. It catually looks just like a real life rearend. It has a ring gear and a pionion gear. Check to see if the c clip as came off the Pionion gear, could cause clicking souund. I have noticed that when I apply the brakes, you can hear a lil clicking sound, but I knoe its the brakes, but I havent had the brakes lock up by there self. Good Luk.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
Hey, I have a odd problem. I thought my receiver went bad in tornado, so I took it out and put the one in my Volcano in it, still didn't work. So I put the receiver back into the volcano truck and now it doesn't work. Both tornado and volcano, doesn't work, when I turn the power on the servo just start jumping, and they dont respond to the remote. Both cars are doing it now. I actually played with the volcano just minutes b-4 I took the reciever out, I had extra servo's and that doesn't seem to be the problem....I'm puzzled. Anyone got an Idea what I need to do??????

Reline doesn't mean that where it stopps reving, I know for a fact a stock 327 will twist up to 6900-7000. I build race engine all the time. Im bought a opt. rpm gun I'll find out what a 2.5r turns.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
I have actually talked to aTraxxas guy, he says that 2.5r will rev to 50,000, he said when it came out it was one of the 1st one to rev like that for a rc car use. Its just like a real engine, SBC 327 will rev higher than a BBC 454....stock engines, shorter stroke quicker and higher revs. But but can be built to do amazing things Jeff
