RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake
The hall sensor is active low, like in your picture. So the falling edge comes right as the magnet is hitting the sensor. That's why I figured on using the falling edge. If I used the rising edge I would be getting the interrupt right as the magnet leaves the sensor.
The user should be seen as good. Not the code. Watch video:www.youtube.com/watch
The interrupt only triggers on the falling edge. So it will only produce one interrupt per rev. The rising edge will not trigger the interrupt, so we don't have to worry about it.
This is a practical problem. High electronic smog in the PIC. My engine is working. Your ignition code. PIC is working badly. Believe me. I can only help you. To be perfect in your code.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake In the code, you can also wait for the Hall input (GP2) signal when there is ignition timing delay is not ready?(Look at the picture.) It's okay? Not Cultivate the consequences? Spark-ignition failure? Solution: Disable external interrupt input, ignition timing delay time? What do you think about this?

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake I congratulate, excellent work. But RC Ignition uses a Hall input rising edge. GPIO = sGPIO.ALL; // Shadow GPIO -> GPIO OPTION_REG = 0b11000000; // pullups off, GP2 input(hall)6 bit=falling edge=0, rising edge=1, Tmr0 CMCON0 = 0b00000111; // comparator config, disable CCP1CON = 0b00000000; // CCP off, special event mode = 1011 (resets Timer1) T1CON = 0b00010100; // TMR1 Off, 1:2 prescaler TMR1 = 0; // Zero Timer1 falling edge=OPTION_REG = 0b10000000; rising edge= OPTION_REG = 0b11000000;

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake Yes. Three spark, maybe a lot. Would be enough, two spark Manual start: easier. Injured my hand heals difficult (laugh). It's worth it increases the electricity. I say: The proof of the pudding is eating it. Regards nyemi.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake Thank you for your response. I suggest: your code works well for low RPM operation. Due to the manual start. Minimum manage 200RPM, the ignition timing. I wish good work.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Jake I do not understand. Now your new code to work? Or, old code, repair? Because in my opinion: Old code can not be much of renewal. Because 12f683 microcontroller hardware are great limitations. If you want to change. My proposal: The type microcontroller, a USB to Communication. Sorry. I work with translator.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Gompy John cdi is even better multi-spark. Because there is a capacitor charge-back. (Capacitor receives energy from the ignition coil primary.) He sparks up time: maximum 200uS But now working on: 3*200uS spark .

Hello to everyone Very possible. The key: the thyristor gate time. I have a lot of these types of experiments over time. Experience has shown: 360uS appropriate. Yes should be used. Good high-efficiency inverter. The data from:gorbunov.narod.ru/CDI_ST.pdf Watch Video:www.youtube.com/watch

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi John I'm sorry. I badly written. I do not want, ignition monitor program to create the computer. I, the "HEX" code I would like to be accelerated. I know. The more responsive engine, the carburetor reaction. The algorithm is time to reduce. 48-60uS>>>>24-30uS This chip, created by increasing the internal clock (8MHz). I think that's the point. Not the ignition advance curve. I do not want the monitor program. It increases: response, algorithm, time. In my opinion.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi John Thank you for the tests. It was expected that, RCexl curve will work well. My plan. The program is running, and responding to. I will be accelerated. The current algorithm is time :48-60uS. I reduced the value to: 24-30uS. My hands will soon present the solution. I maximize opportunities for the program.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
HI bluejets These programs include practical information surplus. The manual start of the is easy. The low RPM, where the ignition advance controlled:187 rpm / min! (20.580 mS ~ 23 °). I think: this is better than ignition RCexl. The ignition curves for Walbro pdf to rent. :) Link:images.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/510943/Ca82075.pdf If you have ideas , I accept. The qualities of the practice will decide. Thank you, John.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi I recommend 2SC5707. For specific DC-DC inverter transistor. CCFL inverters are used. Try a search on Google.(CCFL inverters 2SC5707-Royer converter) I CCFL inverter, to solve the ignition power. I rewound to the transformer (EE19 ferrite core). Primary coil not replace. Secondary coil replace : 100 turns (0.25 copper wire). I tell you, Royer, push pull inverter is more suitable. Project is not over yet. More on that later. Link:www.mikrocontroller.net/wikifiles/f/f3/Royer_Converter.xls Link:www.mikrocontroller.net/articles/Royer_Converter
