RE: RCU member and jet modeler in a serious accident
Prayers for a speedy recovery. I was a critical care paramedic for 14 yrs. Helmets are for open caskets. People need to pull their heads out and pay a little more attention to their surrondings while driving.

RE: London Olympics are fantastic!!
Hey guys, I have always been a huge olympic fan. I wouldnt say this is the best one ever. opening cer. was average for the olympics. if it is so great this time why are the event stands mostly empty. pretty poor planning on the brits. and how about the stupidity of having to put the flame out sunday night and move the flame because it was in the way for part of track and field events. dle 20 or 30 on Profile Katana V2 ?
Hey guys, Anybody got one? Im building a Texas rc Profile Katana v2. arf 1.20 67 in wing sp. manuel states 26cc. with motor rtf should be around 11-12 #. got a new dle 20 & used dle 30. 20 will drop in but dont know if it will have enough authority. 30 is gonna take some mods and might be to much. I had 30 on seagull 1.80 extra 260. weighed 13.5# and the 30 yanked it around with plenty of power to spare. Appreciate your recomendations. thanks. TAKE CARE AND PRAY FOR GOOD AIR !

RE: Starter for gas engine
Hey guys. good comments. got one for u. My hangar nine starter wore out (bad brushes). I cut the shaft off of it and put it in my craftsman 19.2 volt cordless drill. I put it on low and use it to start my dle 30 just fine. I use it on my da 50 some. but it will just barely start the 50. if u have a wore out starter give it a try. TAKE CARE AND PRAY FOR GOOD AIR

hey fellow flyers, To the ones that have posted no problems with dx8. get on your knees and thank the skygods for receiving a unit without the fatal glitch. To the ones that have received the same doom that i received. i feel your pain. Update: I sold mine to a flyer who has over 20 yrs flying. Received a phone call the other day. He has lost two planes that he has flown for over 5 years. If your a gambler be my guest and buy one. Maybe spectrum has the issues resolved, maybe not. What ign will work on Thor 45cc ?
Hey Gassers, I need advise on what kind of ign will work on the Thor 45 cc. This is a discontinued item. The factory timing is 10-12. I was told that a rcxl for a dle 55 would work. It will not. The cm 6 plug is to small for threads. I have tried to find a plug with correct ends. I would love advise on a plug that would work or a correct ign. Thanks Guys

RE: Should I buy from Banana Hobby?
DONT DO IT MAN. I ORDERED FROM THEM AFTER READING BAD REVIEWS. THE PLANE WAS NOT COMPLETE. AFTER WEEKS OF GETTING THE RUN AROUND I HAD TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE CALIFORNIA BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY WERE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THEM. WEEKS LATER I GOT THE REST OF PLANE. FIRST FLIGHT THE ESC BURNT UP. FIRST ELECTRIC PLANE RECOMENDATION WOULD BE THE ELECTRIC UGLY STICK. GOOD LUCK

RE: Spectrum DX8 (Buyers Beware)
Hey spoolinaww. I hope they give u one of the new radios with the newer software, not the update software for the older version. Im not very happy with my dx8 at all. im flying a 330 extra with a dle 55 with the ar8000 without problems at this time. but i have a 7 channel receiver on a differant gasser and i have uncontrolled right aleron flutter. and yep i have tried differant servo, extensions , ect . if i put my ar8000 in it it stops and works correctly. also im flying a eflight mini stick with a 6 channel receiver in it. after a flight the receiver light flashes constantly , showing numerous hits. the dx8 is flawed , all i can say is if you put anything up without an ar8000 in it you better say your prayers.

RE: Spectrum DX8 (Buyers Beware)
Hey guys, i noticed several of you have problems with your dx8 as well. update. got all my stuff tested. they denied a problem but replaced every item sent in plus sent a free hat and another strap. they know they have a big problem but in my opinion like alot of yours are trying there best to keep it under raps. my radio will work fine with a ar8000 receiver, but i am getting servo chatter with the 7 channel receiver, and am afriad to put that gasser up. i have to stick by my guns on this one. Buyers Beware on the DX8

Spectrum DX8 (Buyers Beware)
Hey guys. I have been running a DX6I For a few months now with no problems what so ever. I have been running two planes with AR 6200 Receivers and one parkflyer with a AR6110. NO problems. I recently bought a DX8 it came with an Ar 8000 receiver. that receiver works fine so far. the problem is when i tried to bind all of my planes to the dx8 it knocked all three receivers out. The only receiver that will work with the dx8 is the Ar 8000 that came with the radio. I tried to rebind them to my dx6i and they are toast. I have contacted spectrum and now have to wait to fly while everything is mailed in and checked out. Has anybody else had problems with the dx8 thanks
