RE: XYZ 53-STS Twin
I have had this engine for about 3 mos. now and it has around 5 to 6 hrs. on it. Runs well with a Vess 21B prop pulling a PAU Bulldog with just enough power. Had the same problem with the subpar mufflers leaking and had Jtec build custom mufflers and they are perfect. Sound level is down and no more leaking. Like the engine, the sound, and it starts like a dream.

RE: Fuji-imvac 24EI
Antique There is a red, white, and black wire wire from the flywheel sensor and that is connected to the ignition box along with the black ground wire. On the other side of the ignition box is a red and black power wire along with the white wire in question. Seems like it is some trigger wire for the ignition but I have no idea what to connect it to.

Fuji-imvac 24EI
I have a Fuji 24EI and am having trouble with the ignition. I have contacted Hobbico and the only help they give me is to send the ignition in for service. My problem is that I cannot get a spark when rotating the engine. I can get a spark if I take the white wire from the ignition module and ground it against the engine mount but only at the moment of contact. Does anyone know where or what this white wire should be connected to? From the ignition module there is the connection to the flywheel pickup, a ground wire, and on the other side a red and black wire for the power source plus the white wire that I have no idea where it goes or what source to connect it to (no info in the manual). Can anyone enlighten me as to what I should do to get this working?

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?
I ordered my retracts on Oct. 7th and other than an automated reply with an order number, I have heard nothing from Lado. Have emailed them several times with no reply and when I check my order status, it is the same as it was on Oct. 8th. The gear I ordered showed "in stock" at the time, otherwise I would have never placed the order. What I don't understand is why Lado doesn't simply email customers and let them know when to expect their order and if the wait is too long , offer a refund.

RE: Seagull Ultimate biplane 90 size
I have an OS 1.60FX in mine and it will nearly pull the airframe out of the Ultracote. I love it!

RE: Seagull Yak?
I have had my Seagull Yak for just about a year and a half now. I installed a MVVS 26 gas engine in it and after a few flights I named it the "Flying Brick". After about 20 flights, none of them enjoyable, I decided to change the engine to an OS 1.20AX. What a difference, now it is one of my favorite planes and will do any manoeuver except a knife edge spin with ease. I balanced the plane as per the manual at 8cm back at the wing tip and I must admit that it is tricky on landing. Hate to move the CofG forward as it is a dream in the air. On my first flight the axle and wheel fell out of the nut that holds it on the landing gear. Luckily I was able to ditch it in some tall grass and suffered no damage. New axles from Great Planes and CF gear from Graph Tech and it has become a great performer at a reasonable price.

RE: New Pacific Aeromodel Clip Wing Monocoupe
I've had my Monocoupe for about two months now and it draws good comments every time I bring it out to the field. Mine was in perfect shape out of the box, except for the four cowl mounts which were broken off from the box being dropped on that end. I have a MVVS 26 in it and it flies great ( a 35cc would have been perfect). I have only a few complaints though, it would be nice to have a side door like the H9 Piper so that you can use both hands to work on the interior, and I almost have to take a valium before each take-off as you have no idea which way it will swing on the T.O. roll. I will try to Dremel the wheel pant opening to see if that helps. When it swings and you correct with rudder it rolls the aircraft when it breaks ground. In the air and landing it is perfect although it is certainly no beginners airplane.

RE: phoenix laser 40
I have just finished the Laser and have about 15 flights on it. I installed an OS 75ax on it after re-inforcing the firewall area. It is an absolute rocket ship with a 12x11 apc prop on it. If you want to wow the boys at your field and give yourself an adrenaline rush, this combination is it!

equivalents in glow and gas
I am getting an all composite warbird that calls for a 1.20 to 1.40 4c glow engine. The plane is approximately 14lbs AUW. What size gas should I use in it to give reasonable aerobatic performance?
