RE: Avonds F15
I love my Avonds F-15, it was one of the early kits that was beefed up to be used with a turbine. I fly it with a jet central super eagle. Has taught me so much about flying turbines!

RE: Jet central done it again
Flew my avonds F15 with jet central super eagle for the first time in about 8 months today. It performed flawlessly and made me feel so stupid for having any worries about it. I always get looked at funny at any events in the UK when I say I use Jet Central but I can't understand why. This is my first turbine, I have no regrets over my choice and I'm really looking forward to taking the F15 to weston park this weekend! So big thanks to Jet Central.

Artes/Jet Central Super eagle
Hi Guys, Im considering buying a Jet central super eagle and would like to know a few things, Does anyone know the full throttle fuel consumption for sure? What time does it take to go from idle to full throttle (slam time is this?)? And how do they go in avonds f-15's? Thanks for the info guys. Ollie

RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly
Finally started to ring out my electric yak conversion. Power is insane and pull out is good. Got some really low, rudder touching torque rolls. And WOW does this thing rolling harrier well, i just kept the torque roll going and i hardly had to touch rudder and elevator to keep it nose up. setup is: Overlander Thumper 8085 Kokam 10s 1p 4800mah's, will be putting in the new 30c 5000mah's soon. Castle creations 110hv jr 8717's on ail and elev jr 8711 on rudder smartfly power expander sport smartfly super reg 2x Kokam 2400 2s 30c lipo receiver packs Over all i think the price isnt much more than a da50 and all the gubbins, and with a ligter plane with more power [:D] Only down side is the 5-6 minute flight time. Got some pics of the torque rolls.

RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly
yeee haaa. have just come back from the field with the yak safe and sound after its maiden. it tracks so straight and is so slow and precise. i cant get the smile off my face. the power from the thumper motor is awesome and iv not even begun proping it up. will charge the batterys and see how many mah i used. it sounds so good electric. have a video to put on later tonight when i get it from a freind. but WOW thatnks ef for another gem. RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly
hey guys. a while ago i posted that i was doing an electric conversion of this beast. well its almost done [:D]. Im using a overlander thumper 8085 motor which can deliver 6000 watts, which should be fun. To give this power im using 2x 5s 4800mah kokam lithuims, and all thats going through a castle creations 110hv controller. As for servos iv gone conmpletely jr with a 8711 on rudder and 8715's (0.09 sec-60 and 12kg of torque at 4.8v.Because im using spektrum i thought it wise to use an isolator. The smartfly sport should do it. For receiver packs im using 2x 2s 2400mah 30c kokams. Thats approximately a possible 140 amp discharge. (abit overkill i think [>:] but at least im not pushing them). Regretably i think it will be slightly overweight and i would have liked to pick a smaller motor but this was the most appropriate. Will run it up tonight and hopefully fly it tomorow.[:D] cant wait.

RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly
just bought a 88"er from freestyle rc here in the uk and plan on doing (hopefully the first on this) an electric conversion[:D]. i figured the box behind the engine would be perfect for batterys, maybe with some beefing up, and this will get the CG exactly where i want it. if my figures add up i should have more power and hopefully less weight, only problem is the less than 8 minutes flight time [:o] which is gonna get annoying but... this is my first large size 3d plane so i plan on goin balls out on servos with jr 8711's on everything and just normal 6 cell receiver packs running through an opto iscolator. what do you guys think??

RE: Info on B-52 model crash and more
i find it hard to believe that this man could of disorientated a model this big, although if thats what he says? as for the reason hes not allowed to build the second one. they reduced the weight of the second b52 so much that as he climbed out of the take off of the test flight the whole rear end of the plane fell off. the plane was fine as they were walking towards it but they hadnt realised that the fuel system was still pumping fuel round the wing and onto the tarmac. the model burst into flames and everything was destroyed. although the reason he was in the wrong is that gordan had no LMA officials at the test flight and so the LMA kicked him out of the ascosiation. i was there when the first one crashed. it was amazing.
