RE: new parkflyers cessna 182 pro deluxe
ORIGINAL: austenp405 Does the new 182 Pro have direct control ailerons? On the Parkflyers website it says there are now 2 servos that control the ailerons, but in the pictures and videos it looks like they are still mounted in-board. Thanks, Austen
Hi Austen, sorry for delay in answering, Ive been on my fishing vacation :)....yes its got a seperate servo for each aileron.....Coin tks for the help bro...its a great plane for the money in my opinion....its fast and has great stunt abilities too watch my vids....Marc at Parkflyers.com is a decent person to deal with....DJ

RE: new parkflyers cessna 182 pro deluxe
Hi Rich, yeah its a great lil foam plane ..i love mine....in higher winds it almost just floats in on landings...i think it comes in so slow u cud actually reach out and grab it......only prob with letting it slow down to much into the wind is it will all of a sudden stall and drop.. so i suggest using a bit more pwr on landing in the wind and coming in a bit hot...it has more than enuff pwr to handle up to 15mph winds..i personally havnt tried flyn in winds any higher than that....enjoy hope i helped....DJ

RE: Parkflyers new 59
Assembly: Is very easy, the servos are already installed for the ailerons, elevator, rudder and steering. Several suggestions I always check the factories work, make sure your servos are secure. Check the hinges and any pre-installed control surfaces. The whole assembly is very easy and the instruction manual has pictures and text for each step. Only thing different than instruction manual is that the servos dont have to be installed just checked. Before attaching control rods be sure to center your servos. The included wheelpants look good but i had to take mine off because my flying field here at my house is grass and the grass just tears them off anyways. Plus im going to be putting floats on mine soon and flaps that i will do a howto on.The main wing is held on with 4 metal screws, make sure the nuts in fuselage are securely glued. I found the CG on mine to be dead on. The wing halves join using metal rod and tube and wing has interlocks molded in, so no need to glue the wing halves together, this will make it alot easier to transport. Now charge up that included lipo and go flying.

RE: Parkflyers new 59
Flight: As my cessna rolled down the runway it looked very scale and takes off so smoothly and in a very short distance if you want too. This model could very easily be a trainer or a nice scale plane. Flight is very smooth, plane tracks very nicely. Loops, rolls are very easily done and look very smooth and scale. Inverted flight was nice, model still tracked very straight and level. Landings were nice and uneventful i could tell with the flap upgrade this plane is just going to float in on landings. The provided motor/esc and lipo were more than powerful enough, this big cessna will even hover watch the video.

Parkflyers new 59
Parkflyers new 59" wingspan Cessna Skylane, Is a very nice looking model. This model has several upgrade options available. One of the options is a flap upgrade package other option is a float package. I will be doing both of these upgrades on my cessna skylane. This very scale looking model also come in a rtf version and a Rcvr Ready version, Mine is a rr version that i put a spektrum ar6100 rcvr in, which i understand if you call mark at WWW.Parkflyers.com 1-800-470-8932 he will also give you a good deal on a spektrum rcvr if your purchasing this model. In both versions it includes: 14.8v 2200mah lipo and ac charger. This plane has nice steerable nose gear and the clear windows add to the scale appearance. The included 3 blade prop just finishes it off nicely. Specifications: wingspan 59" length 47" AUW 48 ounces motor 960kv brushless w/50 amp esc radio rtf 72mhz with 4 micro servos just servos in RR version battery 14.8v 2200mah w/ac charger Options: Flaps, One thing i noticed right away was the fact the wings already were cutout for the flap servos and wires. The flap kit includes two servos and all the necessary hardware to make your flaps operational, a very nice package deal for a very reasonable price. Floats, This option again has all the necessary hardware plus a servo and a rudder set up to help steer your cessna on the water. again a good deal for the price.
ORIGINAL: robtest What type/features radio comes with this? Would if be compatible with other 2.4ghz BNF planes like the Parkzone Sukhoi Su-26M BNF ???
No it would not....the sukhoi bind n fly has a spektrum reciever...which is dsm2 technology so u wud need a spektrum dx series radio to bind too the sukhoi.....parkflyers cessna has a 2.4ghz thats dsm technology....that works great but its not the same as the spektrum I personally use a spektrum dx transmitter and they r great!...what id suggest is get a spektrum xmttr....then get a few spare spektrum rcvrs to put in other planes...u can get a good deal on both here http://www.toddsmodels.com/Radio_controlled_airplanes_ARF_RTF_Kits_s/1.htm these guys got the best price on spektrum stuff in the states that ive found...join the club/team its free and then u can get spek rcvrs for 37$...i wish they were compatable that wud be really sweet!!!....i hope ive helped ya....DJ

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
Very nice bro....dont waste ur money on tp lipos u can get a lipo thats even better for a 1/4 of the cost of a tp from hobby city...ive gotten several of their zippy lipos now and they r better than my tp lipos..but each to their own ways of spending money but when i can get 3 or 4 lipos from one place for what they costs in the states im going with the bulk numbers.....sorry man im ranting its just that the costs of lipos in the states really tee me off, no reason for them to be this expensive here considering the bulk cells for the most all come from the same places..i get 11.1v 1300mah for 11$ with deans and a jst balancing connector the same lipo here is 40-50$ it just dont make any sense....ok im done ranting lol sorry!!!! congrats on the build it looks good bro i knew u were going to like that trex and the spek xmttr too :) DJ

RE: Parkflyers decathlon upgrade howto and review
With this upgrade you can expect to get around 15 minutes plus of flying time. I also tried it with a 7.4v 2200mah and got over 20 minutes and didnt have to change anything for the CG to be dead on. If you have any question or need some help with your upgrade please feel free to ask. DJ

Parkflyers decathlon upgrade howto and review
The Parkflyers decathlon in its stock form is a nice scale looking trainer and very docile to fly. This upgrade will liven it up into a nice sport scale model capable of some nice looking stunt manuevers for a hi-wing model. I purchased all the needed components for this upgrade from www.parkflyers.com I used parkflyers 480 hi-mag neodynium motor, since i liked its performance in my parkflyers cessna pro. I choose a 7.4v 1800mah 15c lipo for my upgrade, the stock battery will work but beware don't fly it wot (wide open throttle) for extended periods or in a dive you could rip the wings off. Using the stock battery in this upgrade will provide very short flight times, less than 5 minutes. The stock esc works great with this upgrade, so does the stock prop and spinner. I also upgraded my spinner with parkflyers aluminum spinner, not only is it balanced better it allows for more prop selections and it looks good too. Tools needed for this upgrade are : ruler, hobby knife, small phillips, small flathead. prop wrench and soldering gun with some good quality solder. First take off the spinner and prop. NOw remove the prop adapter, its a compression fit and if you cant get it off by pulling use the small flat head to open up the slots on the adapter shaft. Save all these parts. Next very gently work a playing card between the fuselage and cowling and slowly work it all the way around untill the cowling comes loose, take your time. Remove the four screws holding the motor in place. Now your motor is ready to be removed, gently pull it out. You can cut the motor leads or if your new to soldering just heat up your soldering gun and then unsolder the motor leads, this is what i did so my leads were already tinned to solder back on to the new motor. If you dont know how to solder there is some great how to threads on RCU. Acutally this is about as easy a soldering job you will ever do. Note which side each color wire was on. On mine the black motor wire went to the red dot on the motor. Now solder the new motor on. Put new motor in motor mount and secure it. I used a small dab of ca to secure the screws. Look at the motor mount where it attaches to the fuselage sides, You will see two holes on each side, I measured my cowling and put two holes on each side of the cowling to match these holes, I then used two small self tapping screws on each side (im not sure the size, I grabbed them out of my plane/heli spare parts box) to secure my cowling back onto the fuselage. You can also use a small dab of 5 minute epoxy in a couple of spots or gorillia glue to secure the cowling. If your going to use parkflyers spinner, find the smallest of the three shaft adapters. Put on the prop shaft adapter, then your prop, you will not be able to use the washer. Very securely tighten up the nut and put on the nose cone. Now you will have to adapt your battery compartment to fit the lipo, this is a very simple procedure. Cut out the small rectangular piece of foam in the bottow farthest section of your battery compartment and shave just enough off the plastic batter tray so your lipo will slide in snugly, just like in the picture. Now your lipo will sit vertically instead of laying flat in the tray. After doing all this check your CG mine was still dead on. Now your ready to test fly.

So Crash is a good name fer ya [:D] hey least its fixable if that had been a balsa plane u probable wudnt be flyn again tomorrow...a tip for ya bud put a coat of water based poly urethane on all the edges top and bottom about 4mm or so wide..some peeps do their whole plane in it....what it does is toughen up the plane and keeps hangar rash from happening too...do it in very thin coats,,,, DJ

RE: CESSNA 182 ART TECH
Crashtest....the t-34 mentor is a really nice military low wing thats capable of alot of things other than being a good low wing trainer the t-28 trojan http://www.newcreations-rc.com/ProductDetails.aspx?itemnumber=PKZ4475 like that one is a good way to go it also comes in a rtf ... but my other suggestion is eventually get a good radio like the spektrum dx6i etc that is 2.4ghz and capable of storing numerous planes in its memory so then u can buy planes without radio gear and use better stuff than what comes in the rtf planes and also it will allow ya to do upgrades like retracts, flaps etc..the tb20 that comes in a rtf or pnp is another decent low wing plane if u dont want a military style...i guess the answer to ur other question is cuz i do honest non hyped no bs reviews is why :) Willit...nothing wrong with the parkzone corsair, but in comparison to this one http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8872143/tm.htm its kinda docile, and that one is a good bit cheaper than the pz corsair in a rtf setup and the parkflyers corsair dont need to be upgraded and it looks and flies very scale, only thing i did to mine was i put in a spektrum rcvr after i did the review cuz i just got to many dang radios i have to carry to the field if i dont put as many as i can on my spektrum xmttr...plus i can vouch that this one is a very well made tuff model watch the vids and u will see what im talking about, ive been really rough on it and all ive done is break a prop.... whatever planes u guys get enjoy and i wish u all the luck with them...i hope ive helped......DJ

RE: Parkflyers Daredevil 3D bi-plane review
Hi Big, tks man...sorry to hear u had probs with a plane, that always sucks. The flight sim is a fms which is ok lots of planes available online to download for free plus u can get the program to create your own too which is also free..the graphics r not the greatest but hey its all free and it will teach ya to fly....The daredevil is a great plane, its vertical power is unlimited. Im not a 3d flyer so its really capable of alot more than what I can do, so in the vids i dont really dont do it a true justice of its capabilities but i do have alot of fun with it and have not had one single prob other than i took off the wheel pants which i do with any model that comes with them because they have a tendency to come loose and act as brakes.....i had it out this evening with some other planes and i was really putting the moves to it with wide open throttle the whole flight and id say i stayed up like a good 12 mins and still had power left so far as im concerned marc at parkflyers did a really good job of setting this one up the way it comes out of the box. If you do decide to get one pls tell marc u seen the review and thats y ur buying one.....just so yall know i dont get these planes for free i buy them just like you do, that away the reviews r totally honest and unbiased, otherwards im gonna say it like it is no bs..as always if u have a question or need help pls feel free to ask......DJ
