I mean by taking the engine out of the boat.like mart said, general maintenance is the key at the end of the day.We have been running offshore races for many years and not had any problems.

RE: Kyosho Edge 540 Red Bull Air Race series
Edge 540 (Peter Besenyei) Red Bull Air Race Championship from Kyosho ARTF 1/6 Scale Electric For the world of aerobatic/3D planes, Kyosho has produced a phenomenal 50 class EDGE 540! The left and right halves of the main wing are attached to the fuselage with a light hollow tube so the fuselage doesn't need to be cut. In addition, film on the rear of the fuselage works as stringers to create a lightweight structure. All bulkheads have been computer designed to be as light as possible while still remaining strong. All pieces are cut to lock with each other during factory assembly creating greater strength and consistent quality from plane to plane. If you are looking for the best 50 class Edge, look no further than Kyosho! Features Left / Right halves of main wing are attached with a hollow tube into the fuselage. By removing the cockpit, the wings are then held in place by rubber bands. Shares the same swept trailing edge as the original EDGE 540 and reproduces the same excellent agility and stall characteristics for sharp forward penetration. Factory-assembled balsa fuselage covered in film for a professional finish. Only a short time needed to get flight-ready. Excels at true acro/3D performance due to mid-wing design. No cuts in the fuselage for the attachment of main wing halves results in stronger fuselage structure. Film down the back of the fuselage works as stringers for a lightweight fuselage structure. FRP cowling is pre-painted for true scale appearance. No painting required. Push / Pull wire linkages used for the rudder results in sure control of the yaw axis. Moving tail gear also features shock-absorbing mechanism for safe and reliable taxiing. Factory-assembled balsa fuselage covered in film for a professional finish. Only a short time needed to get flight-ready. Produces the true acro performance of real mid-wing airplanes. Pre-painted FRP cowl. High level of scale detail without the headaches. Wire linkages (included) used for the rudder results in linear control of the yaw axis. RE: Racing at sea
Usual maintanance really.strip engine out soon as racing finished, use fresh water(bottled water) through water jacket and lines, clean flexi shaft (WD-40)spray on running gear aswell, till I get home, then polish everything from hull to running gear.oil up engine with after run and thats it really. As long as you wash the salt off you wont get a problem. Fuel I use is Duraglo 10%.That 20min run is about quater of a gallon on the rs91.Half hour run then its half a gallon!! Them nitros do like there fuel!!! £13 a gallon!!
