will the sh .21 engine work in the volcano? think i blew my engine yesterday and if i need to replace it wanted to see if the bigger engine will work for it.

Here's my Stampede so far. Started out with the original mechanical speed control, switched to the yellow xl-5 esc. Put VXL axle carriers with 5x11x4 teflon sealed bearings, RPM gear cover and front bumper. Had a Stinger 20 motor in it, switched it to the Titan 12 with a 19 tooth gear. T-Maxx rear shocks and stole shocks off my Redcat Volcano S30 for the front. Dyed the stock white rims with Rit black dye witch came out great, then cleaned and put on the original stock Stampede tires. The body is from my Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin, the original hard plastic one. I think it looks real good on there! Have more things planned for it soon! Hopefully the pic shows up!

so the Tornado s30 uses axle pins? Yeah, Losi does have a weird size, that's what i'm trying to put on my Volcano s30. They are wheels and tires from a Losi Ten-T electric. Thanks guys, i'll look into those tornado axles!

Got a question. how do i change out those big bulky aluminum 12mm wheel hex's on my volcano s30. i have a sweet set of wheels and tires i want to put on it but they are 14mm hex, they came with the hex's and axle pins. the volcano s30 doesn't use axle pins, uses those big 12mm hex's with the set screws. any way to change my axles to axles that use axle pins. any other company make axles that will fit my volcano s30, and fit the dogbones? thanks

well, first upgrade i'm gonna do is an esc. this 1st gen pede has the old school mechanical speed control unit, and it works good lol.

So i just picked up my first stampede. it is an original 1st gen pede. i got a killer deal on it and couldn't pass it up. here's my question, how many of the new pede parts will work on this 1st gen? what parts fit, what parts don't? also, what's the good upgrades besides brushless? any info helps, thanks

not sure what they are, got them when i bought a used HPI Wheely King. these were a spare set. 2 of the rims were chrome and the other 2 were badly painted bright green. i painted them black, put Pro-Line oversized 2.2 crawler foams in the tires and glued them. just a tiny bit shorter and narrow then the stock volcano tires but they handle great.

i've been looking into getting either a caldera 3.0 or a volcano s30 for myself. like you i noticed there are upgrades for the volcano but nothing for the caldera. if anyone knows of hop ups for these trucks and what other brands fit them it would be a big help, thanks

gas not going into engine
hello all, i have a tmaxx 3.3. i've been trying to run it the past 2 days and it won't start. it has the ez-start system and i use a glow plug igniter not the blue wire. all that is fine but it looks like i'm not getting fuel into the engine. the gas line was only half filled with fuel so i took it off and the line on the pipe and blew through it to get the fuel moving. that work and the line was full. after trying to start it a bubble formed in the line and it just seems like it's not getting any fuel. engine sounds like it wants to turn over but just won't. this was all with a new glow plug also. please help, this is my first nitro. but i've had no problems with it untiil now! thanks

well, the tires and rims look great on my vortex. they handle great also! i don't have the brushless system in it. i did change out the motor and esc to the traxxas titan 12t and the traxxas xl-5 esc.

i got the new motor and esc in the mail and installed them, wow! this thing is fast! blazing fast when i put in a 7.2v 5300mah battery in. switched out the stock little tire and rim combo for the slash bf goodrich tires and wheels, had to move the body posts up and do a little bit of body trimming. it looks good now. slapped on some Tapout stickers as well lol. got some pics, hope they load right. first pic is stock right out of the box.

thanks guys! so i found the titan 12t and xl-5 esc on ebay, got it for $53 with shipping. says they were pulled from a new slash, upgraded to brushless. now i can't wait for them to come in the mail and see how my vortex runs! i do still have the fried ones, gonna keep them for my parts bag, sorry.

so i was out playing around with my redcat racing vortex exp yesterday. i got a bit out of range, my fault, and the truck just happened to drive straight into a nice mud puddle. i ran up to it and was able to drive it out of the puddle, for about 20 feet. then it died, fried the motor and esc. so i'm looking to upgrade those parts now. looking into the traxxas waterproof titan 12t and xl-5 esc, both waterproof!!!! does anyone know if these would work out in my vortex exp. they work great in the slash, hoping they would work good for my truck.
