RE: Official Tamiya TA05 thread!
When I mid-throttle while turning, my TA05 makes a lot of chatter noise. When I take the wheels off in the front though, it's fine. I tried moving the wheels manually while the steering rack is fully turned both ways and nothing is in the way. Even visually it looks like the wheel from the inside is not touching anything. It's bugging the hell outa me. Anyone have a similar problem and/or a solution?

TC5, seen it yet?
Donno if this has been posted yet or not, but if so, then sorry. http://www.teamassociated.com/shusting/CatalogHub/kitspecs_tc5/kittc5.htm To be honest, i'm sad that they got rid of the shaft drive aspect, but as long as it's an awsome contender, I don't mind.

RE: What chassis is stronger: TC4 or TT-01?
Yea, the TT-01 is more rugged for taking hits, but if you wanna run a Brushless, you wanna get a good chassis, too. Just upgrade the Diffs on the TC4 and it'll be fine.

HPI Micro RS4 drifting
I am getting an HPI Micro RS4 and plan to drift it. Must I only lock the rear differential(Like 1/10th scales) or do I have to lock both front and back(like an XMod)? Thanks!

RE: NEW REVIEW: Duratrax Micro Street Force
ORIGINAL: hanney there are 3 bullets and i have a bullet converter and it is only 2 ports? what is the third for and how do i connect it to the car?
You need a brushless ESC, such as this. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKYN7&P=M As you read through it's specs, you will read how it has 3-wire design. Also, question here. If anyone is running the 6-AA mod, how different is the performance as compared to the regular battery? Does the weight make a LARGE difference? Because I plan on getting an MSF on eBay(I've seen many sold already, for only $40-$50USD). I also plan to drift it.

RE: RWD DRIFTING...
No one ever said that you can't drift an RWD. It's just that they're REALLY hard to drift and you easily lose control.

RE: Don't hit me. I'm a NOOB
To mod a "toy" would take a lot of work. Not to mention the stronger motor you would NEED, more sensitive steering that would be appropriate and throttle control. The only thing to do would be to just buy a real RC then use the 350z body on it.

RE: Novak Super Stock Brushless Motor System
I'm pretty sure it would work because I have heard people use SS5800 brushless systems in their TT-01, and the SS5800 is stronger than the SS4300. Also, it's a 27t motor equivalent, so it should work.

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
Well for those of you who don't know... 1/10th On-Road Himoto RCs such as this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/HIMOTO-RC-R-C-1-10-4WD-ELECTRIC-ON-ROAD-RACING-CAR-NEW_W0QQitemZ6025082342QQcategoryZ44015QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Are actually copies of Selective RC's unnamed, not yet released 1/10th electric chassis. RCUniverse has actually done a review(actually, a preview in which the guy tried it out) on this chassis in the link below. http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=604 They say it's actually not bad.

Look at it this way. Mostly everyone drifts electric. Drifting competitions are electric only. It also looks more realistic. There.

RE: My TL-01 Drifter project
I think something was wrong with the TT-01 I got though. The turning was a bit short(the radius wasn't that big), and it would sometimes spin out when I was countersteering during a drift. My two TL-01s don't. Nor does my pro 3, and that's on ball differentials. And because of that, it pissed me off and I didn't like it lol. Now I have two TL-01s, and they can race, rally, off-road, and drift. Not competitivly though, except for drifitng.

RE: Differences between TT-01 and TL-01?
Basicly I want balance. Looks like the TL is what Im looking for. Any things I should consider about either of these models?
They're both pretty balanced, but I'll say this again. If you're looking into drifting and racing pretty competitivly, get the TT-01. If you just want to bash around and have fun, get a TL-01. Although you can race them, you'll probably have a better chance with the TT-01. If you get the TT-01, expect to spend more money on hop-ups and such, since you'll want to give it the best efficience for the lowest cost. It's a great starter chassis for those who want to get into racing. But as TT-01 kits are around $100, you can get TC3 kits on ebay for around $100 or less. I have a friend who had TT-01 and currently races a TC3. Large difference in performance. If you get the TL-01, there's nothing you'll really need to buy for it unless you're going to competitivly race it. I have two TL-01s and my friends bash them like mad. The only part i've had to replace that broke was one of the plastic dogbones. Other than that, it's a tank. My TL-01s can Race, Rally, Off-Road, and Drift. Of course not competitively, except for drifting, as they to make pretty well drifters. And seeing all 4 of those types of racing, and especially in the hands of my friends(who arn't really into RCing, but just play with mine to have fun), you can imagine the harshness the TL-01s go through. They still work perfectly fine.

I don't have a pic of my other TL-01 because I can't find my camera, but it's basically the same thing with a Duratrax streak ESC and a Trinity Monster motor.

RE: Will locking my rear diff give me more traction?
Yes, locking your rear differential is almost a must for drifting. Oil filled shocks will also help, but IMO, don't buy them unless you're going to go racing, not just drifting.

RE: Hey Supz. little help 4 a noob pls :P
It's pretty much a TL-01. You can drift it with the right stuff. You just might want to get a charger, new batteries, and an ESC later.

RE: Which On-Road Electric?
Ok first of all, if his friend is new to on-road 1/10th, there's no way he'll start off with a Pro 4... If he's new, look into a TT-01 or a TL-01, then from that move up.

RE: Differences between TT-01 and TL-01?
This is a TL-01 This is a TT-01 You can see the difference easily, as the TL-01 is a narrow tub-type chassis, and the TT-01 is a regular tub-type chassis. Both are also shaft driven. For total bashing, cheaper cost, and a car that can be a truck, rally car, racer, and drifter, get the TL-01. The thing never breaks either. The TT-01 is also very stable, but is weaker. This is due to the fact that it is a bit more of a racing chassis. The TL-01 has 3 difference stock versions, an On-road car, a truck, and a buggy, as the TT-01's versions are all different kinds of on-road versions. So if you're looking into drifting and racing pretty in-depth, get the TT-01. If you just want to bash around and have fun, get a TL-01.

RE: electric Subaru Impreza question
If you're going to get an Ebay knock off... at least get this... http://cgi.ebay.com/New-RC-Remote-1-10-4WD-2-Way-ESC-Electric-Race-Car_W0QQitemZ6024476480QQcategoryZ44022QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it actually has an ESC... Too bad though, if you lived near me, at my LHS there's an RTR TL-01 impreza for $100(By tamiya). Then all you will need is an ESC.
