RE: Jim LeRoy Pitts Bulldog - Take 2!
Glad to see you guys going at it again. jim leroy blew my mind twice at my home town airshow in stewart florida. I wanted him to come back every year and was sad i never got to se bulldog 2 in action. Jim is the biggest inspiration of what living you're passion really means. I was literally in tears when I found out he died. Jim Is my hero. And he truly inspired me. My greatest regret is never having shook his hand or having a conversation with him. Yes i was a 13 or 14 years old and though i loved every performance i saw. no one came close to jims energy and amazing skill. Rip Jim Leroy.

RE: ENFORCER OWNERS ~~ This is your thread
has any one ever considered using an outdrive on one of these boats there are rumors of one coming out from aero shark and also rummers of a scale surface drive from rcm for the rcmk i think these sport boats would look sweet with a z drive hanging off the back

^this is true but perhaps better later than never haha ik the real chances of that happening are slim to nill but id be really pleased if we did plane had an insane thrust to weight ratio

RE: Hanger Nine Twin Otter build
finally my optimum engines for this plane would be sati 62s or ys 70s both powerful and light the ys has short stoke and thus fits in smaller cowls more over the sati 62 is a shorter stroke than the saito 56

RE: Seidel 7-70 radial: Help me decide!
why is this engine cheaper than sati and os engines that aren't even 7 cylinders and less displacement if i were you there isn't a better deal than the seidel with the outrageous glow 4 stroke prices these days maybe seidel should make some singles as well given that the new os is flat out gorgeous i cant believe the ways prices shot up in recent years

idk if this is true but the guy at my airfeild claims to get 15 minuts on an 8 oz tank on his 72s seems plenty to me especialy on a smaller motor

RE: Hangar 9 twin otter!!!!!
thanks for the dimentions btw! the real chalenge for me would be to keep the thrust angle actually i dont think the 4 strokes get to thirsty untill the 91 to 100,s my saito 100 drinks gobs of fuel compared to the 56 lol it feals like more than twice as much

that would reces the motor enough by allowing your motor mount not to take up space needed for the motor length to fit

RE: Hangar 9 twin otter!!!!!
i have an idea but it may sound a bit iffy what if we cut out most of the old fire wall but left a lip of it going around the nacel then followed that ouline back an inch or so with plywood then then twhen the prefured distance is attained use a i final peice of plywood to close off the hole then use some resin and glass cloth thostrengnthen it up.

RE: Hangar 9 twin otter!!!!!
thats unfortunate maby they could modefy them in the future not being able to use the 4 strokes is a huge bummer im willing to bet that 40,s would be ideal but underpowerd in my opinion
