RE: TF P-39 Aircobra Tank Buster, Gold Edition
Both the older Red/Yellow box Top Flight versions flew well as well as the Gold Edition. I also have an 84" Dave's Custom Models P-39 with a G62 which flies great.

RE: Unexplained loss of control
One question that was answered was about sending the receiver in. Yes... Futaba will run some tests on it. I had one suspected of failing and losing an airplane. Of course, everything worked fine when I get the plane back to the pitts. Sent the receiver in and it failed a vibration test. They couldn't repair it, but offered a replacement receiver at less than a discounted price. So, now I know it was the receiver and got a new one for much less. Futaba rocks here.....

RE: Digital Servos + 2000mAh NiMH = Huh!?
How are you charging your battery pack? Your wall charger won't do the trick. Also, with NiMH batteries, you don't want to super fast charge them. And they will need a couple of charge/discharge cycles to really reach more of their potential- depending on the cells. You can sure diminish the capacity of some NiMH cells by fast charging them.

Cool. It might just make me dust off the box for my DB kit and the Rohm gear.... And then there's the MK Arrow kit too with Supertigre RE with pipe for the tunnel..... Might be a busy winter next year.

RE: Will a Hitec X4 charger work with A123s?
I received my X4 charger. Is there a balancing adapter that will work with the Electrifly balancing plug? None of the ones that came with the charger will work with the Electrifly plug...

RE: Do you remember being a beginner???
Oh, wow. Sig Klipper. Recommended .09-.19. Well, there was no way I was going to put a "huge" .19 on her, so I opted for an Enya .09 Did alot of taxiing and had to throw it in the air to get it off the ground. I then got an OS .20. Now, that was the ticket! World Expert 5 channel. I did alot of flying with that plane.

RE: TBM 93
Hey all... I have a Fox 4.2 in mine. It needed no extra lead. One hint... in an installation/cowl like this you can fidge and move the engine forward 1/4" or even an extra 1/2" it won't look out of place slightly forward and a little extra push of the engine out front will make up for a bunch of extra lead in the nose...

I've been using 7954's with A123's since last summer. They work great...... I wouldn't hesitate on them.

RE: How much do you pay to fly at your club?
$30... two manicured grass runways. Shade canopy. Porta potty... I'm in MN and we fly from April sometime usually until the snow flies. (At our field) In the winter we get together and rent 2/3 of an indoor arena to fly electrics... and to keep up on the hangar flying.

RE: bulding help for TT Cessna 177 cardinal
If you set up the elevator correctly, the servo will pull on the control horn (on the top side of the elevator) and will not flex. It may flex when you try to push the elevator down, but you rarely would ever need to do that while flying. Rick

RE: Need assistance with nitroplanes.com
I've ordered from Nitroplanes on many occasions. Only had problem with one ARF missing the horiz stab and elevators. One quick message to Eric here on RCU and it was solved. Within a week. Treat them with respect... you might just get that back. And remember yours isn't the only problem he might have to deal with that day....

I used HiTec 645's on the surfaces except the elevators... they need to be slightly smaller..... I believe unless that was for the TBM P-40.... This will be my third year on the Zero.

RE: How to use a smoke system on my dle30??
I've had the same problem with my DLE & YDA mufflers. Too thin and not enough space on the mount to drill. I take it to my local welding shop and he welds a small aluminum square on where I tell him and then drill and tap it for my Bisson smoke nipple.

RE: Servo torque question II.
Back when the Byron warbirds first came out we didn't have the choices of the servos we have now. So, many of the manuals were written with that in mind. I've used Hitec 645 in all mine and have had absolutely no problem with them. Keep in mind also that those ratings are based on a 1" servo arm. Anything longer and the torque goes down.

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
I received this Edge last Tuesday. Box looked perfect. Unpacked it last night and I'm missing the horizontal stab and elevators. Everything else is there. I do not have my order number. There was no invoice in the box and I had deleted the e-mails when the box arrived unscathed. http://www.nitroplanes.com/ed544652niga.html Tell me what needs to be done to get the parts that were missing. The G38 should be a great fit. I've got a BME 50 in mine mainly because I do fly it with floats also. With half flaps she will putter around on less than 1/3 throttle....

RE: TBM 93
We're talking the TBM Zero aren't we? 4.5 pounds of lead in the nose with a g62? I got a Fox 4.2 in mine and added no weight anyplace. Have you considered pushing the G62 a little further forward? Wouldn't take too much I'm thinking to be able to eliminate some of the nose weight you say you'll be adding. And- why paint the canopy? Guess I'm not following you there.... It's an incredible flyer and with the moments and aerodynamics you figure she's got, it sure helps in the flying characteristics for sure. Makes flying my Byron planes a chore.
