RE: TA 152H Meister Scale Project Grun 4
Obberkommando der Luftwaffe paid a sight visit today. Pictures don't do this project justice. The craftsmanship in person has to be seen. A lot still needs to be done to get this operational. I would like to think it can be RTF before Christmas...I doubt any sooner. This one will be maiden flight at the dry lake bed "rabbit" our trusty spot for big bird test flights. It's a few months off but will be well documented.

Yes DD...I like the way you think...lets make the Turbo scoop functional in a sense...get some more air across those Lipos wont hurt. Glad to see the package from Dino arrived. Not crazy about that pilot...but he is for another project...Would look much better if they put him in a late war leather jacket...instead of the early 1940's BofB gear or Polish campaign.

Burley Still looking for some good 411 and photos on hooking up the Jeti ESC. Manual is worthless ...and this thing is not the normal Castle setup. I know your mafia has done some big electrics...anyone have some detailed photos of the setup and wiring?

Adam Your pilots look sharp and accurate for a JG1 or JG26 1943 or so pilot. Let me know when you have a good 1/4 scale one with all leather gear for a late war 1945 JG301 project. Rich

RE: ME 262 info for Father & Son Project
Did a big twin 120 mm edf project a few years ago. Back then we were still trying to get all the bugs out of twin edf....video is a bit long but I think well done. It gives all the details etc if your looking for a project. Still see a few JS kits pop on RCU every once in a while. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyVpzoQwoKg&feature=youtube_gdata_player Still flying this one and for now. No flameouts.
ORIGINAL: David010567 Cowl Mounting... I trimmed the supplied plywood cowl mounting ring to clear the Hacker motor and attached it to the cowl using Hysol. Made three wooden stand offs that are threaded 1/4-20 on each end. I decided to put a small plywood ledge on the fuselage for the cowl to rest on. The cowl is mounted with (3) 1/4-20 nylon bolts from the inside Thus... All the cowl mounting bolts are hidden.
Slick rig here DD....worst part is those two BF109 Port/Starboard....collecting dust....

RE: TA 152H Meister Scale Project Grun 4
DD, With the hatch...my main concern is to get in there quickly and with little hassel. So a quick access that is attached in a manner that does not require screws etc. So the 262 engine hatch works good on mine...and I see Burley is using the same rig in the picture you showed. I am also a fan of the rare eath magnets...Let the builder use his judgement here....just make it a quick access for those Oh Sh%% moments when the Lipos need removed quickly and a hatch that does not have a lot of play in it.

RE: That nasty AT-6 Bounce
Owner of two Byron AT6. The only thing that stops the bounce is the stick forward trick listed above. Goes against your instincts but as soon as the mains touch give her a bleep of down input. Will stop the bounce and stick. Takes some getting use too.

Some research I have done...shows the cat on Yellow 5 as well...so this is not a show plane...just a weekend flyers...so having some fun adding what I like. RP

That issue resolved sometime ago. Never did figure out why those fans didn't work for this application. Still head scratching. I fly the eBandit with EVF2 in it and its 190 plus all day with 6 minute flights. So there a good product. Maybe just finicky.

Dave I like your thoughts of the the scale vents in the cowel and putting the esc there. My only request is the esc not be visible. So I don't want anyone looking down on the plane and seeing the esc. So let me know your thoughts.

RE: TA 152H Meister Scale Project Grun 4
It's been so long I forget all the details. But this started as a two Meister Scale D9 kits and a TA152 plans and wing kit from Ty. Bash all that together and poof you have this kit bashed highly modified TA152. I know Ty built one of these years ago, I am not familar of anyone else taking on this project. Lord knows I don't have the skills alone to do this so it's a joint project. Burley will be painting it and I will be doing all the electronics and maiden.

DD I think that's where the Pop Tart should go. That we're I have it in the Sea Fury with no problems. Send me the link to where you got the photos of the install. I need to see how he wired up his ESC. Hacker has dual positive and negative leads. Which has me confused. I'm use to Castle. Any help here is appreciated. Manual is worthless
