RE: Hobby Summit 1/16 Abrams
Thanks for the reply The Stuff. That's pretty much what I had figured about it being a toy, it is an HE, one of those cases where it almost seemed to good to be true. I am sure now that the first tank for me will be the HL Tiger 1 S&S. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] Later....Papadave

RE: leftover parts
Mainly concerned about replacement tracks and anything that may wear down or out with use. Don't mind fixing things, just want to be sure I can get the stuff to fix it with. Just any 1/16 scale goodies. Weapons, men, sandbags, fuel cans, ammo boxes, blonds and redheads! [sm=wink_smile.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif]

RE: Just bought used 1/6 M5 Stuart Tank-
Hey BIGMIG! Congrats on the Stuart! I remember years and years ago in the war type comic books I was reading, a continuing story about a Stuart in WW2 France. It was haunted by none other than General Stuart himself ! I do get to play with it...right?[sm=red_smile.gif]

RE: leftover parts
Hey BIGMIG! Thanks for the info visit Monday. Muchly enjoyed! Trying to get my brother-in-law into tanks so I have someone back home to play with. He was concerned about replaceing tracks, having experience in finding NO tracks for his 1/30 Sherman. Can HL 1/16 plastic tracks be replaced? We were also wondering about 1/16 scale goodies. Like soldiers, guns, gas cans...stuff you can put on a tank to look a little more real. Seems there must be a stateside site we can use and avoid shipping charges from different countries. Hmmmm.... RE: Help me choose an online tank source
Thanks for your responses. I have checked Raidentech, and a bunch of others, now I think I have too much info, can't keep them sorted out in my mind! [sm=spinnyeyes.gif] I was wondering if anyone has experience with Mato. Seems a bit more expensive, but is the metal motor worth the extra? Do they come with metal gears also? Help me choose an online tank source
Wanna be new-be. Got bit by the bug, now don't know where to get a reasonable deal. Decided on 1/16 scale, probably German, sound, recoil, able to fire rubber bullets, etc...etc...Any recomendations on a source that would make this hobby enjoyable to me? Keep in mind I am retired, which translates to nearly broke. Customer support is important also. Tanks-Alot...

RE: intel video card/driver upgrade for g3?
Thanks for responses. I did a search and found info on available drivers that can be downloaded, but I don't know which is newer than mine, or older. What I have is 82810E Graphics controler version 4.12.0001.2641. 'Puter is a HP Pavilion, windows me, I know I have to beef up the ram to 256 at least, it has 128mb, can that be done at home and how? Also, simulator is a G3.5. Keep answers in 'Puters for dummies form, you are dealing with someone more familiar with 8-tracks and b/w televisions. Thanks

RE: ParkZone Lipo Charger only gives error message
Your charger will give 3 beeps when plugged into the power supply.(cigarette lighter) Green ready LED (ready) will flash. Make sure your switch is pointed to 3 cell. Plug in the charge lead . Once plugged in, it will beep 3 times. 2 beeps if your are charging a 2 cell. Push the start button, more beeps, and the red (charge) LED will begin to flash. Now at times the greed LED may flash during the charging process, that means the charger is balancing one or more of the cells at the same time it is charging the battery pack. This means that at times both red and green will be flashing at the same time. When charging is finished, another beep, and the green LED will be solid. If you have the instruction manual, look on page 3. Good luck...

tf 1/7 p-51 wing and engine
I recently picked up a crashed P-51 and would feel better if I could just rebuild the wing rather than trust my fixing ability. Is there a wing kit available for the 1/7 scale mustang? Also, would an older OS 60 fp 2-stroke have enuff gutts to fly this plane safely? Thanks

RE: thunderpower lipo and Parkzone charger
Hey, Kinda glad to hear someone else has the same problem. I am new to electric flight, and I do confuse easley. Old dog, new tricks....I would think that this can be solved just like useing different brand radios and their connecters. Someone must have connecters that you can hook to different brands, or micro surgery. There just has to be a way.....short of buying a new and second charger![sm=72_72.gif]

thunderpower lipo and Parkzone charger
Help please! I have a Stryker C, with the lipo and Parkzone lipo charger. I recently bought a Thunderpower 3 cell 2100 thinking to use it for a back-up for extra flying time between charges. I have been told by customer support from Parkzone that this can't be charged with the Stryker charger. That is not what the LHS told me, and now they are out of business and un-reachable. Is there any way I can get around this and use the Stryker charger on the Thunderpower battery. I hate to think I just blew all those hard earned bucks on a paper-weight! Thanks in advance.

RE: Airstrike
Hey...Seems like a good deal on the surface, but my eyebrows went up when I read the Airtronics radio is 27 Mhz. Should be 72Mhz. Could be just a typo, or a cheaper model getting in under the radar.

RE: disappointing hobby shop trip
I think alot of the problem with lack of good hobby shops is the internet! Everyone is so eager to save a buck they buy from low overhead sources, and leave the Mom and Pop stores of yesterday in a constant strugle just to pay rent, earn a living, and keep the store supplied for people that expect everything under the sun. and at bargain prices. Next to impossible anymore. It's hard to keep a store properly supplied, inventory costs money, fewer customers means smaller choices. Get used to it, a sign of the times.
