RE: Canada's number 1 event now, Wingham jets
Well it took me a couple of days to recover from what has got to be one of the top five events I have been too. What a great event and country. I really had a great time up there. Just everyday non-stop flying. First I would like to thank Chuck Storrie for inviting me and let me fly all his rides. Angus & family for putting on and hosting this great event(well worth the trip). Rcpete for letting me ring out his "out of this world Futura" And to all my new and old Canadian buddies for making me feel so welcomed!!! I will definitely be back next year to Canada's #1 jet event!!!!! Pablo Fernandez Team Storrie

RE: BVM Rafale - flight characteristics
That's a nice size model in your pic. But there's nothing like buying a proven airframe. Mines is close to 12 years old. I have no fear of flying as hard as I can. But then again that's just my opinion. Pablo

I'm doing dual gyros for the ailerons(JR 370a). My last one had none. The cheetahs should keep the wing loading low. My last one flew great on twin Ram 1000's

Andy, Try a Bvm this time. Not one phantom out there comes close to it. Trust me I have had them all. It's built like a tank and flys like a hotrod. Pablo

RE: Large futura prep and painting
ORIGINAL: Ali The good news for those of you that have enjoyed this great thread that Phil has kindly put up and updated with his know-how and skills is that I have done my own little bit into making last a whole load longer.... Today's test flight of the Futura did not go quite to plan. To say it was not a success would be an understatement and a half. I think the photos do enough to explain. [:@] Simple fact of that matter is that with a busy schedule of testing other peoples models, mixed in with a fair amount of complacency. I experienced for the first time that I can remember a situation where I took off with my ailerons reversed! I am not too proud ( Yet very, very embarrassed) to admit it. The really annoying thing is, that I know i check them on more than one occasion. Even worse is that I remember setting the model up on Thursday, and thinking how odd it was that the values on my crow mixing had to be reversed as when i dropped the flaps, both ailerons drooped instead raised[:@] Right now I fell like all of the **** and ******* under the sun rolled into one. It sure is an expensive lessoned learned for me, and hopefully others might see that no matter how many flights you do, a mistake or an oversight can still sneak in there to bite you in the a$$! The only saving grace is that the damage is limited to the fuselage only. Roll on the Re-prep and Re-Painting thread [8|] Regards Al
Not good. Ive done it twice before. Once on a BVM F4.. Glad to hear a new one is underway. That scheme looks great on there. Pablo

RE: Florida jets 2012.. Are we there yet?
Well it took me a couple of days to recover from this Florida jets to post on here. Honestly this Florida Jets was spectacular!!!! I never seen the flightlines so busy in all my years of going there. As for the grass yes it is spongy but not horrible. I flew both turbine and Edf models off of it with no problems. I really want to thank Frank T. And his crew for working so hard to make this event enjoyable and fun for all of us. I especially want to thank the haters for talking crap about the runway. It just keeps Frankie motivated in keeping his show and runway top notch. Every Contest director in the U.S. has/ or has to mock Franks way of doing things in order to be successful. I have travelled all over the U.S. and attend over 12 jet shows per year. None compare to the overall package Fljets provides. From manufacturers, vendors, pilots, international attendees, night life, restaurants, hotels, media coverage, spectators Etc. Etc. Etc. None compare some are close but not the same (thats my opinion). Some have the best runways in the world but are out in the sticks. As for the comical humor at the banquets. It's just that comedy. I am Spanish and take no offense when he jokes around. Honestly some of my fellow modellers are a bunch of tight arses. Internet tough guys. I've never heard one person comfort Frank at a banquet or ask him to discontinue his comic relief. As for the pics of the girls Yes, its a touchy subject. Yes I would not want anyone taking pics of my wife from behind. But on that same note I wouldn't let her dress with her boobs popping out of the top of her turtle neck. Lol!!! Get my drift. We need to continue to support "ALL" of our U.S. shows as this is what makes our hobby last and progress. Frank has stated improvements will be done. I trust his judgement on this matter. We can not abandon this world class show because of grow pains with the turf. We need him as much as he needs us. Bottom line this preserves our hobby and jet flying in the long run.

RE: Forgive me, as I have sinned!
Well it took long enough to convince Ali to try out the new BVM Edf stuff. I remember being called all sorts of names and my models being made fun of. Now look who is seeing the light. Lmao!!! BVM has made quite an achievement with there Edf models. Not only in reliability and quality but also performance, service, and the capabilities of being able get away with doing models with scale inlets.(such as the MIG) It's basically the perfect combination of equipment in his models. BVM's fan, Castle controllers, and Thunder power batteries. Thats why there one of the only Edf manufacturers able to offer warranty on there Edf units. I love my turbine models but I love the ease, reliability, and cleanliness of my BVM Edf's.. Pablo
