RE: I tried to warn him
Amazing. Watched the power line part a few times. My wife even got a kick out of that.

RE: Adf.ly needs to go. Admins, will you look into this?
+1 on that. I was confused the other day when I tried to watch a few videos. I ended up leaving the video section because of those ads.

RE: How can I test receiver batterys
I also just ordered one of these. http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HAN171 . I've been using my instructors when we are at the field. Seems like an in-expensive tool that we should all have. I was told to just make sure the voltmeter can test the pack while applying a load. Good luck.

RE: Prop for H9 Alpha 40
I do have an instructor, and he keeps my engine tuned just right. I should be with him sometime within the next few days. I have allready mentioned to him about the weight. I will bring my new prop and spinner with me to the field and get his opinion before I do anything. I have read a few posts where people have had a better experience with the weight removed. Thanks for the responses.

RE: Prop for H9 Alpha 40
Sounds good Vette. Thanks for the info. The tips you mentioned sounds like they worked out very good for you. Will keep your ideas for the future. I haven't installed the new prop yet, but that time is coming. Thanks again!

Prop for H9 Alpha 40
I have searched the forums regarding changing the 3 blade prop to a 2 blade. I think I'm going to go with an APC 11x6. My question is: has anyone who has this prop on this plane had any issues with ground clearance? My instructor mentioned that I may want to get a 2 blade prop, but he said there doesn't look like there is a lot of clearance between the prop and ground. Our airfield is grass. The plane is all stock. Thanks!

RE: help w/cvd rebuild! rc10gt
Thanks for the feedback. I actually did find a nice instructional how to where the guy suggested notching the cross pin ever so slightly with a dremel and using some shoe goo. I didn't have "shoe goo", but I did find something to use in its place. Here is the link: http://www.hpiracing.com/instructions/index.htm#walkthrough it's on the HPI site, the step by step was great. Thanks again, and hopefully the will stay put this time!

help w/cvd rebuild! rc10gt
This is the 2nd rebuild kit i've bought since last spring. Not a real lot of use from then to now. I keep having the same problem of the cross pin that goes thru the dog bone, keeps sliding out. On both sides. The cross pin is cutting into the A arms! I just did the most recent rebuild today. I greased it up & lock tited the set screw. Any help or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

RE: help w/cvd rebuild! rc10gt
No, I didn't. Am I suppose to? I followed the directions from my owners manual and it didn't say to locktite the cross pin. Only the set screw. There are no threads on the cross pin. I just push it thru the dogbone. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Ricky Carmichael Motorcycle
Hi all, I pulled my Ricky off the shelf and realized why I put it there in the first place. The steering servo doesn't seem to repond at all. I was wondering if anyone had this type of problem with this bike. If not, if anyone knows of a replacement for this. My son is now of age and really wants to run it. I was also wondering if anyone knows where I could get parts, replacement or original, for my bike. Thanks so much!

savage x trying to start
hi all, i have my nephews hpi savage x. im trying to get it running for him. i believe its been sitting for about 2 years. my question has to do with starting it. it has the roto start. im not familiar with this. it seems like the starter isnt working the piston enough to get it started. also, sometimes it doesnt even cycle the piston. im wondering if this a problem with the one way bearing. i cleaned it, re installed it, but im getting the same result. idk if these things go bad often, or is there something else im missing. glow plug and all is good. any help will be appreciated. thanks phil
