RE: E-Flight Carbon Cub SS
I have one and it flies great. Put it on floats a few weeks ago and had a blast. There is a huge thread in the micro section on rcgroups.

RE: GP Shoestring 1/4 scale
What's your intentions with the Shoestring, everyday sport flying or racing. I flew mine with an very old OS 61 FS. Plenty of power for everyday flying. Put over 200 flights on the plane and engine, before I sold it and purchased another one. Just add a little wood in the landing gear area and you will be set to go. OBTW, I had to use 2 ounces of weight in the tail to get mine to balance with teh OS61. Therefore, my recommendation is the Tower Hobbies engine.

Seagull Navion
All, I am trying to understand the logic of Seagull's recommendation of an engine size of 75 to 91 2-stroke for their new Navion. According to the specs, the plan will max out around 8 1/2 pounds. In my 30 years of modeling heavy scale planes tipping the scale, around 10 to 12 pounds were flying on 60 2-strokes. So, why would a 60 two stroke not fly this plane. It is scale plane, not designed for 3-D, just lazy loops, figure 8's and wingovers.

RE: ParkZone Night Vapor
I own a Night Vapor. The plane is considered a "slow flyer", designed for indoor or dead calm evenings. I fly it mostly at half or less throttle. I can get close 10 15 minutes on a flight. There is a very large thread and review on rcgroups. The plane is a hoot to fly and is not underpowered.

E-flite 60-120 Retracts and Top Flite AT-6
I have a Top Flite At-6 sitting in a box. I plan to use E-flite's 60-120 size retracts. The question I need answered is should I purchase the standard or 85 degree retract set?

RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 ARF
From all the reports I read the OS91 FS makes this plane way over powered. Also, the guys at Hobby Hanger in VA fly their Cessena with an E-Flight Power 46 and 6 cells. With this setup they reducced the weight by over 2 pounds and still get great preformance.

RE: BUSA 1/6 scale Nieuport 17 need advice
On rcgroups there are two threads on this plane. One thread the guy used electric the other thread he used an OS 40 FS. The gas motor is way to much for this small plane. If you want to use gas Magnum is coming out with a 56 FS which runs on Gas.

There is a thread on RCGroups where the wing is folding on some people. Not sure if they are over power it though. It is in the High preformance section.

RE: tinybritelights
I have them on my Vapor too. Just watch out for other flying critters. I've been buzzed a few times while flying late at night. I fly mine in the backyard while the dog is out. Great fun, orientation sometimes gets to me but still a lot of fun. The worst part of the whole thing is soldering those tiny wires.

RE: GP Piper Cherokee wing question
If you fly glow and don't glue the wings together you will get fuel soaked root ribs. Suggest covering them with monokote.

RE: hand launching eflite rv-9
Do you major divots in your field. Our field is very uneven, rough and extremely bumpy. I never had a problem taking off or landing the RV-9. Check your balance? It might be nose heavy. Mine came out on the money. Motor is a Park 50, E-flight 40 AMP ESC and 5 Hitec HS-65 servos

RE: New eflite T-34 broken...
As a general rule, I always open a kit in front of a sales clerk before I purchase it. This way if there is a problem it can be handled right away. Good luck, best advice I have is don't open the bag, this way they can see it was still new in package.

RE: Beware of Horizon Hobby
I had a friend who sent in his DX6i to be repaired. The tracking number showed it was received. He called to determine the repair status. HH could not find his radio and asked if him to give them a few days for them to search. In a few days later he called back, HH still could not find his radio and stated they will be in contact with him. Two days later a brand new radio showed up on his front porch. He contacted HH and they stated they shipped him the new radio because they could not find it. I sent a couple of bad 450's into them with no RMA numbers just wanting them to get repaired. I called and found out they shipped me two brand new 450's and I was only charged for shipping. So, this must be a rare case. My suggestion is to contact them again, be polite and try again. If you have the tracking number give it to them. They will make it right.

RE: RCV engine opinions needed
Kinda a depends on the engine I have two RCD 921CD. They run very well, you need to follow their directions and watch out for the fuel you use. No more then 10% nitro.
