RE: Volcano 2 speed trans....
yes you can, but i would suggest you get a direct drive tranny with the 13 tooth clutchbell, this can be purchased as a set from somewhere, i think rufaster might have it. it will give u both better top end and low end, where as the 2 speed will give you better high end but less low end power

RE: Volcano SV - Default Factory Settings
ORIGINAL: chevyderek72 The high speed is the tall one in the gold sleeve, turn that in all the way, just till snug not tight or you'll break it. Then the low speed needle is on the side of the carb, the side that rotates (opens). Set that at flush with the collar, then the idle screw is right in front of the carb. Make sure you have about a 1mm opening in the carb. Those are base settings, if you ever get outa wack or something go back to those settings and tune from there. Do you know how to tune?
make sure u turn the high speed needle back out 2 1/2 turns after u turn it all the way down. i know thats what u ment to say chevy

do you have them in yet? i know most of them are probably interchangable with the landslide, but i think i'd like to buy some aftershock tires for my landslide.

RE: spur gear
cut a piece of paper to width so it can be slid between the spur gear and clutchbell, loosen all of the motor mount screws on the underside of the chasis and slide the push the engine over tight against the piece of paper and spur gear. tighten the screws and pull the paper out. the gears should not bind when they are turned.

RE: traxxas 3.3
check out sh engines, they have some really nice .21's, you can get the sh .21 p3 from redcat in the engine replacement program for somwhere around $60 i'm guessing, but i don't think the p3 is going to have as much power as the traxxas 3.3

RE: 3.2 tires
might want to upgrade to thicker drive shafts and drive cups too cause the big wheels and the bigger engine is going to put lots of stress on that drive train, but you can sure try it

RE: new wheels
if it has the two speed yes you'll need a new setup, maybe the direct drive package would be good. if it is a single speed, it probably would just need a different clutchbell
ORIGINAL: jcon82 just scored a set of the grey t-maxx shocks on ebay for $19.95! dows anyone have any tips for setting these up on my sv? like what kind of oil, spacers or if the sv ball screws will work with them? if i keep this up i'm gonna have vx powered t-maxx with crappy electronics before i know it[:D]
they will just snap on if u use the spacers provided and if u have long enough screws, but u will have to sand down the reciever box where the screw holds it down and place a bolt through the end of the reciever box, otherwise that one shock will rub.

RE: Jumped Landslide, need help!!!!
all u need is the rear lower hinge pin, which is part #60072 just search for that part number on the redcat site, or any other redcat dealer's site the part u need is what u called the "tony bar" it's what allows the lower suspension arm to pivot up and down and hold it in place

200 - 215 is probably right for the idle temp after then engine has been warmed up, but it should be around 260 at it's top rpm's

Is there one of these available for the Sh PT21 P3 engine that comes in the landslide x21? I tried looking on SH's website, but couldn't even find that exact motor. Is there a different brand that would fit?

the direct drive is geared differently then the stock tranny, and that is why the kit comes with 13 tooth clutchbell, if a 17 fits in their you will loose some bottom end power
