how do I make scale panel lines and rivets?
Hi guys ,I am building a Top Flite P40 and I would love to make scale panel lines and rivets, but how do I do it ,and do I put them on before I cover it ,or after I cover it and before I paint it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: fed the woods my nexstar!!!
also (i found this trick by accident)after you wet the wood with warm water and hold the shape with rubber bands, take a heat gun for covering and dry the wood,it will hold the shape perfectly

funny or amazing crash stories
I remember about 10 years ago when i started flying i had built a cessna 182 with a 58" wingspan, and i guess i figured that they were just kidding when they said to epoxy the wings on,i must have used scotch tape or a glue stick(lol) i took off and got up to about 100 ft when the right wing came off,the cessna went into the most impressive death spiral i have ever seen. When i arrived at the crash site i thought i would need a tow truck to get the engine out of the mud with the suction it created, man i still laugh every time i think about that.

RE: Exhaust Deflector on OS .25
He is right, there is a silicone high temp gasket maker called rtv at the auto parts store it is pretty strong and should hold the deflector on no problem.

RE: Bondo???
you could also use a good automotive finish putty which will adhere and dry as hard as bondo but weighs almost nothing...and yes it smells good too.

ak models has some pretty decent kits they also do laser cutting for a resonable price, all you have to do is send him your design and he will cut the parts for you.
