How do your batteries die? On a 50cc frame you should be running independent battery from frame servo's & ignition. A friend at our field has a DL50 in his reactor and he is running a smartfly sport with (2) batteries for reciever & (1) for the ignition. Great flying plane. I'd also be concerned about prop strikes and bending crankshaft.... Mike

Covering is a given you almost have to heat any aircraft to shrink it. My last AW Extra 300 had multiple alignment issue's and poorly or no glue at all in some locations. Aeroworks ignored my requests & concerns after purchasing 6 aircraft so that means nothing as well......Good Luck and enjoy flying it.......

Find a reputable seller that is trying to sell a used DA50. I see them all the time on R/C Universe for $325 and up. I see alot of guys are trying upgrade to a DA60 and sell the 50's. Just my two cents of thought. The DLE55 has a bit more power but service is better with the DA. I've got 2 DA50's and both run solid. As for the frame check out Aztech R/C he has a Raven available and is a super person to deal with.

Tbone was just wanting some perimeters for what you are looking for. What size of frame you looking for 30% 35%? Like Bubba mentioned some guys have dedicated plane for IMAC & a plane setup for 3D. I've got 5 planes and they all fly different depends on my mood.

I use the EQ6 to simplify setup IE: Servo matching / Battery Redundancy in my 100cc and larger. I use the sport-fly in my 50cc nice systems and reliable. Never a problem................
