RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club
This plane is terrific, I unfortunately flew in over 20 to 30 MPH wind gusts, only few flights, got above me by the time I turned around it was decked into the turf, ripped off the wheels but will have this one going again and more cautious on wind conditions...Its the PNP version all set to go and even with an undersized 1800 battery it rips the skys, this puppie handles very well, its a winner...<>..keep the nose level and down for airspeed it deadsticks beautifully...even on the grass... Next change will be nylon screws for the wheels... Prized planes todate Super Cub, later Night Flights Hanger 9 T34 Mentor, wow progressive settings even I can land this one, comes in like an airliner, awsome.. Mini Pulse XT, responsive and easy aileron flyer, suggest abit of expo for the newbie, love it ..

RE: any one know of a good trainer with a 38inch or less span?
Parkzone T28 is indeed a nice one, but note it is a low wing and these require abit more attention at the stick than a high wing, with the help of a seasoned flyer you might pull it off there, caution as a first ship tho...<>...would favor the larger Apprentice, bigger than what your asking for but a nice flyer, the Wing Dragon 4 is a nice opener, not pretty but made it for many and low investment..BEST

RE: ParkZone chargers and batteries, are they quality?
Loads of fine battery chargers, I used these smaller example parkzones, some work fine others break down, last ordered a decent charger, Triton2 EQ even has AC as many chargers require another power supply or limited to DC, this sold me and very happy with it...they don't come with all the battery connectors as many out there, option you make your own but did find this Squid with several connectors helped....The Triton2 EQ charges Nickel to Lipo, very nice...found it balances them on the charge beautifully...all cells match on completion...two versions out there $129 to $199, your choice, the $199 has the larger AC built in supply...course other chargers out there as well... Triton2 EQ AC/DC http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=&FVSEARCH=CHARGER+eq+&search=Go Became aware of the multi squid connector from an rc mag, took awhile to find it, almost a novelty item but works great, one of the suppliers found: Pro Tec Squid Multi Connector, nice http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/29230/n/ProTek-R-C-Squid-Multi-Connector-Charge-Lead-w-Traxxas-Connector I still purchased an Eflite banana plug adapter that goes into the Triton charger, and made a Parkzone connector as these are my prolific batteries at the moment...Note the Triton2 EQ chargers with the main lead as well as the balancer, several of the balancer plug ins come with the charger, so your set there...<>.. Note I even made a deans to Parkzone connector so I inturn used already purchased squid, works great..lots of options to hook these up, great fun...<>..

RE: flying simulater or airplane fist
All these simulators are better, but note the FMS has trainers, 4 channels planes, even jets and yep heli's as well, but the others match some of the models out there, just note the FMS is Free, or only $25 with control box, even did the heli practice with mine, helped as well...all of these will certainly get your started....<>.. I've flown loads of models, my skill is todate solid on the Super Cub as do touch and goes even Night Flights, Radian Glider, and lately the Hanger 9 T34 Mentor, pricy but with the DX6I and flys fantastic, low wing warbird, but just over trainer ability with droops and flaps, this one lands better than any warbird todate, nearly as easy as the Cub, but get a pilot as too much investment on the Mentor to lose on the maiden, its however my top plane at the moment...Have Fun !! .. BEST ..<>.. Note the Mentor lands about as well as any plane I've flown, I do mainly grass lanings and its big enough to land right side up instead of nosing down as my others but on a windless day managed a silky smooth pavement landing on a rather short runway, even deadsticks in with zero throttle, unbelieveable ship..<>..with its beginner progressive settings, the flaps and droops slow it down, you can flare too early, but this one keeps flying, it won't drop a wing like the other ships, comes in like an airliner, I'm impressed !! But again have warbird experience or get a pilot before trying this one..<>..

Ok on your fix...good job..adding heavier nose gear and larger wheels is going to be a big plus for you...smart... My flying partner is still working on his Beaver plane, not sure if its the Eflite model but certainly is huge...has abit invested in it so far, however should fly great... But I wanta tell you, the Hanger 9 T34 Mentor has been fabulous todate, I'm all smiles...<>..have to say my first real flyer... Other favoreds todate: Super Cub, Trainer, later night flights FlyForFun jet pusher, two batteries for slower and fast, a hummer Radian Glider, awsome 1 hour flights brushless motor Hanger 9 T34 Mentor, recent addition, lands like an airliner w/progrssive settings, flaps, droops, loving it..

RE: Apprentice 15e Nose wheel steering
Should be able to simply epoxy it back in, but a pic of the damages others might give better info for you... I was going thru the same delema on landings with the 4 channel and expecially low wings, I can deadstick in a Super Cub and do touch and goes, but some reason the other models gave me some issues... Ended up recently with the Hanger 9 T34 Mentor tho a warbird has these progressive settings with flaps and droops it simply refuses to drop a wing and even if I flare early it keeps flying to an increadible landing even in the grass, Im still ecstatic with this one, but prefer you have some prior low wing experience, with outside help read threads where clubs had newbies maiden with this one tho with buddy box etc to get the feel for flight, its been a winner for me...Trust me this one flys, large bird, tho balsa, has a tuffer nose wheel than other planes, yes alot more durable nose wheel than even the Apprentice, tho you can certainly damage the front end hitting example a post overshooting the runwy, etc, but no excuses here, this puppie lands beautifully right side up in the grass, take advantage of that on your maidens ! I had many flights with the Apprentice, its a nice larger ship, but I eventually had the same delema flying w/winds and my poor landing skill...just takes practice..<>.. You may need some filler as pieces of foam to correctly fix your nose gear, again others likely have more info for you...hang in there..BEST ..<>..

RE: flying simulater or airplane fist
Thats a nice simulator, played with one as one of our friends recently hooked it up with his laptop, also tho on the low end is the Free FMS, its abit more static but certainly will give orientation skill as needed when the plane is coming towards you things reverse, I've used the FMS and for what it is will help tremendously, is a $25 controller for it and your ready to go, FMS likely to run on the lower level computers easily, but the G4.5 is a top choice, matches characteristics of each model etc...note things change with winds, bad trims, etc in the real world, so have a seasoned pilot as local club if you can, many provide a free trainer for the newcomers... CAUTION : The J3 Cub looks like a nice opener, we flew a flyzone version at the same price, was 4 channel with high freq transmitter, and not alot of luck with this one, was very touchy on the controls expecially for a newbie, be careful on that choice.... Near that price you would do alot better with example already mentioned Super Cub, its around $179 range but the difference in handling is like night and day, its a winner, solid flyer, intrim with hands off the stick it rightens itself, one of the top trainers you'll find and the positive threads are all true, I eventually went into night flight with mine, well over 200 flights and then some...The Multiplex Easy Star also great if your into gliders, really enjoyed mine..<>..I would personally suggest those two..<>.. Defintely get a simulator, even the lower FMS tho not a top choice will leave $$ for the plane..here's two sites on my suggestions : http://www.redrockethobbies.com/Hobby_Zone_Super_Cub_RTF_Electric_p/hbz7100.htm?gclid=CPWf16qM050CFQmbnAod0X0bqQ Note is also a lipo battery version $10 bucks more, I flew both, won't go wrong either way, 1/2 throttle 17 minutes of pure fun Cheaper FMS Simulator with control box $25 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSJR9 Have Fun ..<>..

Ran into one plane recently that is increadible for landing in the grass, abit pricy but awsome, Hanger 9 T34 Mentor, lands in grass with ease and doesn't nose over, with progressive setting, droops and flaps, comes in easy without dropping a wing, its been amazing, my best plane todate...BEST Some of my favored flyers: Super Cub, Night Flights Stryker B Radian Glider Hanger 9 T34 Mentor Warbird, beauty.. Parkzone T28 is amazing but I'm horrible on warbird landings, different story with the Mentor, comes in like an airliner !

RE: What plane to get next?
You won't be disappointed, its a beautiful ship in the air, it does take some winds but hold off till your comfortable with it...do suggest a pilot but I maidened mine on my own, and still very careful with it, tho did fly yesterday in some light gusts but handled great, however takes attention on keeping things in the wind on the landing, so just be cautious, enjoy the beginner settings. It does handle grass landings with ease, I take advantage of this and use the whole field if necessary, tho a heavy duty nose wheel, rest of the plane can crumple into a post etc....give yourself plenty of room, your going to love this bird, I'm still in disbelief on how well it handles, keep her over half throttle and your in for a ride...BEST ..<>.. Pssst its COG Center Of Gravity is I recall 4 3/4 inches but check the manual, mine balanced right out of the box as one of the reviewers on this beauty did also, tack that battery down with some velcro, you certainly don't want it to shift...also note it takes off great from the pavement, but I still prefer the grass landings for safety, no reason to crimp for room, later will attempt the pavement when I can target it in better...<>.. Note on landings I deadstick with zero throttle coming in, if too high easy to power up and go around, likely better to come in with just light throttle, but I fly the magnificent Radian glider, and first planes were gliders, this Mentor certainly glides increadible for a warbird, a real plus... One other strong suggestion, have some downtrim on the rear tail elevator as with the flaps and droops, it will balloon abit here, but downtrim smooths things out just great, even for take off it responds excellent with this downtrim, you going to be busy enough on the maiden.... On warbirds your going to like the effect it has nosing in during flight, had another warbird last year, and some kids well behind me on a bench, were well over 100 feet behind, I love to see this effect with the drop on the nose even medium speed looks like its going to release its firepower on you, my hair still stands up with this view, on the pass and turn the benches were cleared as the spectators scampered away, its awsome....note this other warbird gave in to my limited landing skill, no where near the handling of my now prized Mentor !

RE: New to Heli, Bought mSR, have question
Good job, sounds like your on your way, takes patience to fly these, abit more responsive...found the trim concern is after you get it airborn, its not unusual for it to go a direction on lift off, but once in the air is where you want to make the corrections...do small inputs to prevent overcontrol, eventually you'll be able to fly abit ahead of the responses, just go easy...if its close to trim, should hold postions for a few moments, but these do require attention on the stick, have fun !! BEST ..<>.. Todate ran into only two small helis that fly very well, the Quark model, expensive but a winner and now this MSR, both fantastic !!

RE: What plane to get next?
My only warship that lands on the money perfectly, awsome ! The T34 Mentor is my recent addition and all I can say its a beautiful flyer, has it all, a real ship, you'll enjoy this one... Only early flights and still have the droops and some flap it lands like an airliner even into the grass will not nose over, not use to this great of handling...you may still want a pilot as abit of investment with this one especially if its your first low wing, they tend to be faster with more inputs required than the high wing trainers...caution with the droops and beginner flaps it will balloon or want to nose up, but simple downtrim tames things pretty well, can even do rolls here, amazing....will get more flight time, I certainly don't want to deck mine in...its front nose wheel is more durable than most models, but the front end can crumple with a disaster landing...I'm being cautious with it, and enjoying every flight todate ..BEST ..<>... NOTE: With the droops and flaps its nearly impossible to stall this one coming in, great for the maiden flights, I'm still enjoying these safety settings, in no hurry, really in love with this bird ...

RE: Mentor vs EasyCub
Those look like fine choices, I went recently slightly different route trying to find something trainer handling but larger and fun to fly, already have basic trainer basics with the famed Super Cub...came across the low wing T34 Mentor, but is amazing docile with the droops and set flaps, nearly lands by itself, more inputs required for these warbirds but this one with the beginner settings is a beauty to behold and handles like a dream, if your still getting the basics for flying stick with the direction your going...here's one thread mentioning the Multiplex Mentor: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33472 I'm horrible on landings other than the Super Cub and the Radian glider am completely confident, but now have the 3rd, the T34 Mentor, my hats off to them with this one, I love it as well...pricy but quality gear throughout..<>.. Horizon review, all correct, this one indeed flys !! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osC0QANi3lU But get a pilot, lots of investment here, well made, my best flyer todate!! Super Cub, Night Flights FlyForFun Thunderbat Jet Pusher T28 Trojan, beauty but fragile nose gear, again I'm horrible on landings Radian Glider, off the charts, 1 Hour flights, winner glider T34 Mentor, awsome, I love it, still in one piece with over dozen flights, wow !! Lands Like An Airliner, I'm shocked !! Pssst, I deadstick no throttle this T34 in, simply slight down nose, it refuses to drop a wing with flaps and droops, if I'm missing my mark throttle up for another try, you can flare this thing 3 times coming in and it still keeps flying !!!

RE: Perfect second plane
Old post here, but I recently purchased the Eflite T34 Mentor, and have flown the Trojan, the foamie is a good value buy, but a whole new experience with the Mentor, you want to be confident with a trainer first and mastered there, Mentor is an excellent advancement...flew the Trojan dozens of times and certainly is a beautiful flyer but the front nose gear eventually breaks with my needed inproved landings with a low wing...Mentor with its added droops and some flaps and you'll have no issue landing this puppie..it comes in like an airliner even in the grass with things level its increadible in landings, is faster with some throttle and behaves best with slight speed, it will balloon abit with the beginner settings but simple downstick and trim helps tremendously, mine deadsticks with no throttle, I can flare early and no wing stalls, simply keeps flying! Nearing only a dozen flights and I'm sold on the Mentor, is absolutely a fantastic experience, this is all wood frame and monokote covered, have to say, my first real bird and very impressed... Note do the basics in preflight checks, out of the box I failed to snug the prop, it was lose from the manufacture, not realizing this my maiden flight at only 25 or so feet and likely things shook before the prop flew off as also the canopy released in mid air as well with a strong pop, thought what the heck and noticed no power, turned down wind on me and without airspeed still able to make it level just before touchdown in the grass, rolled over slightly on the nose to a stop but unscathed ! Droops and Flaps saved it all as well as a cool head...after retightening the prop all is well, terrific handling, I'm pleased...<>... As I'm new with these low wings, the Mentor handles grass landings with ease, enough room I don't have to worry about over shooting the strip or contact w/pavement, tho again this one flares increadibly well even above the famed Trojan, I personally would do the grass first as having great fortune there but your option, other than my maiden tho its been picture perfect on each landing even with my questionable landing skills on these faster birds...caught a video of an overshoot and ending with a Mentor with no front end, so be cautious, give it room...if your really new get a pilot !! Use to say the terrific Radian Glider was my alltime favored, but look out, Here's the Mentor !! BEST ..<>...

RE: A powered Thermal Glider as a first plane ?
Ouch - bigger gliders can be a handful, suggest the 2 meter at the start, we are still trimming out a Cularis.... I started years ago with the Top Cat powered glider with an .049 gas engine on a pod mounted at the top, if flew fantastic tho rather heavy in comparison the the very nice gliders available today, exteneded flight times with the long glides are a strong asset getting the feel for flight, orientation etc....always changes in the air require some trim in flight...infact enjoyed passing the transmitter to a complete newbie the other day and eventually was able to circle it around in a controled flight, came back again so put the newbie thru the landing sequence both hands on the controls, gads these newcomers make me look bad... Finding lift is an increadible experinece example with a decent glider as the Radian, flys 10 minutes tree level in just above bubble lift, what a plane ! And if you think gliders are all docile and slow, check out the ridge soaring on speed records over 350 MPH and more ! No motor, already reaching 1/2 mach 1...Whew...BEST ..<>..

RE: Deciding on first heli.
The path to flying helis is quite different than what I've encountered with the rc planes, its a challenge to make the CP route, coaxial is too weak for you, FP may have its limitations...I've enjoyed the Blade 400 tremendously and mastered the hover and side holds, some scale flight but no toe in as yet and flew quite awhile..perhaps its me, but the CP is a tuffy... I did just purchase the MSR Eflite micro and toed in immediately, tho only a FP, its an awsome flyer compared to example the coaxials, only two days and able to circle around, but its only a micro and may not be the ideal choice either... You can purchase the Blade 400 RTF for around $350 if you shop around but not from the supplier your after, I like the 400 complete for the cost ( we are talking complete with it all !), but a handful to fly, still enjoying all this, fantastic fun ..<>..above just my limited experiences...<>.. RE: Any help?
Update: We have two of these Exceed Cubs flying now, they indeed have a low angle take off and required to fly them out aways before daring to make any inputs, takes awhile for this one to reach airspeed, but its docile once inflight... My newbie flyer we decked in until realizing the required long low flight out, you don't dare nose it up or turn right away or your doomed... Battery cycling is important, on first charge run the battery down with the motor on then re-charge, it will take the full 3 hour period with the stock charger but careful and monitor the battery, it will get nice and warm but unplug before it gets hot... Advantage with an experienced rc pilot is things will be correctly trimmed, found both were tail heavy out of the box required some nose weight, the balance is around 1 3/4 inches from the leading edge, don't go too nose heavy here, it needs all the help it can get on the launch, but not too far back to lose control... Nearing over dozen flights and I like this for just $69 complete, hard to beat..at first it had issues on the take off, but inflight its a cutie..<>. Launch is critical with this one, I strongly suggest hand launch, tho I did pull off one pavement take off, on the launch throw it abit firm but straight out level, no nosing up here please or down she comes, is simply a straight throw, later after mastered, a fine tuned hand launch you push off slightly underneath but everything kept level, again absolutely no nosing up, it increases the altitude at or just above head high improving the required distance needed for reaching airspeed, wait till its quite aways out before inputs, and your flying !! BEST ..<>...

RE: Any help?
Actually most of the comments are right on the money and excellent advice, Please have a seasoned pilot for your maiden flights, even the best trainer doesn't fly by itself, newbies over-control, after all its their first attempts...<>.. Only thing I can add is I've flown this one, again to me is abit under-powered, even a seasoned pilot might try to turn it too soon before it reaches airspeed...and the tendency to climb right away is a huge mistake on this one, just go level with the nose and wings before going for altitude or any turning, after it reaches enough speed, and be patient here, it flys very well, even noted some stability, with proper trim it does righten itself, but its not as solid as example the famed Super Cub....however I enjoyed its easy handling once inflight, it doesn't zoom as I expected with such a small flyer, very docile...<>. Actually my first success with these newer powered battery planes, was indeed a Cub, Super Cub, even went into night flying later on, I still love it, .... And even a seasoned pilot may have issues, here it is, but very well done.... Note he updated it to a brushless motor, still needs airspeed to fly, as he discovered after 2 failures..I love this one... Found this video even more entertaining, 3D Pilot, yep has issues on the maiden flights, later catches onto the handling..<>.. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvtSaAPdNjo&feature=related

RE: Any help?
These types tend to be abit under powered, we had bad issues with a parkzone model, believe it ended with part problems, then tried a newbies Exceed Cub, didn't expect much and first day way too windy made a bunnie hop and decided to adjust more on the COG Center Of Gravity, moved it towards the front, usually want about 27 percent or around 1/3 of the way back from the leading edge, turned out to be just behind the start of the lettering near the front edge, next day with better trim and winds down this puppie not only flew but made very decent altitude, even the new flyer had some brief stick time, turned on him and took the controls, it flew very well for us, and I was acutally suprised on how well it handled....so proper trims, and correct COG do make a big difference, seasoned pilot is your best option, these are a bargain basement flyer now $69 complete from Nitroplanes, even ordered one for a knock about, these aren't the best planes but certainly low investment and yes, do fly nicely even stock, many eventually upgrade the motor..your option, I liked it !! Expected it to be zoomy as a small flyer, but it had a decent speed for the newcomer...BEST ..<>.. Another secret on getting this one to fly is let it gain airspeed, keep the wings and nose level as it goes out, when reaching some altitude make the easy turn, I personally elected with slightest up elevator trim, just a tadd, don't over due it, made nice altitude with these settings ....on the turns slight up elevator, again careful as can nose up to a stall for the newbie, gentle on the stick, its a winner ! Lots of videos on this one, many even accomplished pilots turn abit too soon on the release and it noses up and or goes down to the turf, so let it fly out..it will take off from the pavement but I prefer the hand launch for this paticular model, so if your a newbie have someone else toss it straight out, not up or down, and into the breeze, give you more time on the controls.... Last a cute video, actually an accomplished heli pilot, he learns very quickly how to fly the Exceed Cub, but only after a few failures, very typical and entertaining: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nvm4Io16khs&feature=related

Trojan T28 low wing but stable, still takes inputs Fly For Fun Thunderbat, 80 mph of fun Radian sailplane, off the charts, thermals beautifully MCX Coaxial, nearly too stable, thought I'd never say that CP Blade 400, complete heli, but use the Radd Theory NEW Micro Sukhoi $99 PNP, really for inside, best in zero winds, super hot micro, latest, only 6 flights catching on...<>..

RE: I could really use some help.
Gads, sounds like your starting with a big ship, like to see you begin with the 2 meter size at the start...great 2nd flight, wonderful !! I usually set most of my planes abit nose heavy for safety, not that its correct but less likely to have the uncontrolled tail heavy issue..then gradually move the COG to correct or balanced position... Many also do the power off glide test, throw it straight into the breeze, keep things level and note the glide, also helps make any trim adjustments... I personally usually give some low throttle, toss and let the plane settle, low it can turn on you if the nose rises be ready, do a gentle rise and safe elevation turn it around and land, again do the required trim Sailplanes have a rather slow response, not a bad idea to touch the stick and release to prevent overcontrol at the start, a rather pulsing of the stick, if things are in trim it nearly flys by itself.... Ground effect, on landing you likely need slightest downstick or downtrim usually required as it comes in low for touchdown, handles abit different than when at elevation, be ready for adjusting here, is normal.... Be sure you have a sizeable area to fly, these gliders have a tendency to float along ways before landing, after efficient you will be able to fly in tighter quarters later on... I'm far from the skilled sailplane flyer, but these were my very first entry into the RC many years ago, I'm still hooked on gliders, never tire chasing thermals, long flights are a wonderful bonus, have to love 'em...<>.. BEST... Years back Heavy Top Cat 2 meter, thermaled an hour, am hoooked !! 99 inch ARF prefab, fast assembly, flew great Currently Radian, is off the charts, RTF a beauty, responds to medium light lifts... on order Cularis...<>..

RE: Recommandation for heli for beginner
I personally would suggest you start with a coaxial instead of a FP or CP, is a world of difference moving up, the coaxials will give you some orientation practice but are far more stable, make fun flyers, likely the CX serie in Eflite are good as can handle gentle breezes as also heard of the Big Lama by Esky, Eflite abit better on the electronics from reviews, but both will work, thinking you prefer the outdoor flying, want some size...<>.. After that you going to have a ton of suggestions all having specific advantages, larger the better handling etc My progression was as follows: MCX Micro Coaxial, indoor fun, beauty $125 Hirobo SRB Quark FP, you'll keep hearing about this one, expensive but flys increadible for a small FP, excellent, $350 threads all true.. Pro 2, tweaky tail but entered the CP world, hovers rather well..around $230 Blade 400 CP RTF, complete, nice flyer, very touchy, patience, nice out of the box flyer, scale flying, all smiles..$350 to $450 Sorry - one heli isn't he answeer, you need more than one for easier success, Wish The Best ...<>..

RE: Syma S008 micro 3 channel helicopter review
Note this is a Toy, however super fun...<>.. Been flying the S008 thats S zero zero 8, anyway its been a trip, keep pulling it out to have fun, seriously its not an MCX but for the investment its a beauty for $30 range..... Some notes on its behavior from my limited flying todate: Hover is outstanding, solid here Yaw tho on right stick is touchy, need trim and or stick, forward flight helps steady things, no biggie get the feel here quickly Forward and Back is by this cute angled tail, yep believe it does reverese, not a zinger, pulses give the max speed Flying straight needs concentration, as likes to circle easier, but is possible with finess on the stick, so yep abit touch here, still fun.. Spot landing will take work, made one great landing but not the norm, will required practice, but can be done, air hand catch a snap.. Buzz it within inches of me, be careful but yes it does stop immediately even rocks back to a stop, great feature, nice... Flys easily in tight quarters once you master some of the feel, can't get enough of this one... My flight times seem to be 5 minutes as the inputs start to change and more throttle, I'm just perhaps cautious on effecting the Lipo.. Over all I rate this one a winner, no its not an MCX, is in the Toy category, but very nice ship indeed...so far flying it daily, the difference in handling example to the MCX only adds to the fun... Found also Xheli also carries these at around $25 !! But check the shipping, still a great deal http://www.xheli.com/syma-s008-helicopter.html Gads a toy heli for $25, yes it flys and very well, life doesn't get better then this, hi..<>.. Udate July 8....Still can't put this one down, flying great for a 3 channel, too bad these aren't available in the local stores...<>.

RE: 1'st timers heli choice ? HELP !
For a RTF package the CP Blade 400 by Elfite is hard to beat, comes complete with everything, charger and lipo...some do upgrades for aggressive 3D but out of the box for the beginner its a winner... I'm a raw nebie into these heli's and other than coaxials and some FP this 400 is great, computer transmitter, its all there... CP'S are a huge jump from the docile coaxial, other than loads of sim work, if you still have issues get the Hirobo SRB Quark to flill the gap, its a FP and a solid performer, not cheap but the model is off the charts, threads all true, winner in the small series heli.. Back to the 400, I'm only intrested in scale flight at the moment, have tamed the bird to back and forth tight in flying, enjoying every outing and its getting better, learn to hover at the start, if no outside help, follow the Radd theory of rotary flight, awsome, saved my life pay attention to what he's saying and your in for some fun.. Flew Esky models, including the Honey Bee Fixed Pitch, cheap but hard to keep flying..belt series improved but still not there for me, below turned out to be my winners and all flew great, other than the tweaky Pro 2, I would suggest any of these in a heartbeat..<>.. MCX Coaxial Hirobo SRB Quark FP Pro 2, tweaky tail, my 1st success with CP Blade 400, super fun !!

RE: Need help setting up a Blade 400 and DX6i.
For some reason at least for me the sport stock settings proved the most successful, tried the Horizon and it was horrible, almost a relearn, found the as received sport settings responsive enough to get out of trouble once I mastered the hovers...perhaps just me, but they worked very well as received ....simply my 2 cents... Only The Best MCX, awsome Hirobo SRB Quark FP, Best FP micro heli on the planet, blogs all true, a honey. Blade 400 RTF, Complete, Out of the box, plenty for scale flight, love it...

RE: Syma S008 micro 3 channel helicopter review
Nice pics with all the info, great...<>..outstanding again, tnx ..<>.. Well, you've defintely won me over on this model, its impressive power, and the change in handling only adds to the enjoyment to have something abit different here.... I'll have to pay more attention on the trim adjustments, tho I find stick control also works on any spin issue, I did manage an on the box top landing, really more of a challenge with the S008, as still getting use to the feel on this one as hardly over 1/2 dozen flights now...its extremely easy to circle around even crimped quarters with ease, hand catches are a snap, hover is on the money, hangs solid in the air as good as any heli I've flown todate, impressed again..<>.. One other thing, the cute tail motor stops during the hover, really wasn't paying attention on how this flyer really functions, then she will move right out with that tiny tail blade humming, not sure but perhaps the tail is reversing on the backward flight, likely..regardless, also note its angle placement, very neat indeed...<>..lots of detail going on for a toy...<>..

RE: Best mini infoor heli
Yep top two mentioned in the mini series... My MCX has lasted a year, parts are reasonable, and I doubt if you'll find one in its catagory better, coaxials are excellent for starters as the easiest to fly, then the fun begins, huge step to the Fixed Pitch or CP, unless you have enough to invest in the Hirobo SRB Quark, its increadibly stable for a FP...then patience it takes tons of practice, and plenty of simulator work ahead, take your time and enjoy...rest is up to you...<>... MCX Coaxial, non better...<>..about $125 Hirobo SRB Quark FP, fantastic model, read the threads...all true..$325-$350 RTF Blade 400 CP...under $400 Ultimatehobbies
