RE: Classifieds Haggling Question
Ok so lets say you make an offer for the full asking price shipped and the person Rejected with Revised Offer Requested and you do another offer exactly like that person asked for... done deal right...Now some one else offers that person more $ than he has agreed upon with you and he takes that amount. And there was 10 hours between the two offers

RE: Fuel system plumbing and air trap consideration
I have seen my friends ultra bandit uat almost flat when running at full throttle with a p180 and thought about using some .25 fittings and tubbing to plum the tanks and switch one of the fittings on the uat to .250 that would be the best solution.

Skymaster tanks warning
I am doing service on an f18 and noticed the clunks were not moving. So I took the tanks apart and found that the tygon supplied with the kit got super stiff and they would barely move. I decided to put some new oring type fittings in and get ride of the leaky black ones. The fittings fit the hole with out modifying the tank.

I made 3 plug's for the kevlar tank and sent them to Gary at Jet-tec one is about 140+ oz one is 125 oz and one is about 110 oz. How big of fuel capacity are you guys going to need for the elan???? what turbines are you going to be using?? Lets hear from you so we can make it the most papular size. Thanks Paul

RE: Reaction 54 Jet Kit
I called SWB and they are still making the Mamba turbine and have spare parts to service them. The Bad thing about the Mamba is it is only 11.5lbs of thrust I wonder what it would put out at 160,000 rpm. The good thing is it should never need to get service unless for some thing stupid that I might do like crash. I think Im going to call and see if I can get them to make mine a true auto start so I don’t have to carry the hand start switch and car battery in my flight box. I could use some more nose weight so I will put the car battery in the nose to run the ecu and the starter. Paul Jacques
ORIGINAL: Woketman Does SWB still make the Mamba? Seems we rarely hear anything about them.
RE: Fuel stopper improvement !!!!
The brass sleeve I have put on the outside of the tank by mastake and it worked fine. Paul
ORIGINAL: 3DHELINUT The brass threaded sleeve gets aeropoxied from the inside of BVM kevlar tanks. the tank stopper threads into the brass sleeve and allows easy replacement of your pickup line.
ORIGINAL: BlackCloud Looks nice and more durable. I see the brass ring but not sure how you secure the fitting to the tank?
Alan
Jet-Tech fuel tanks can now be bought with this o-ring style fuel system as an option .So now you can get the larger clunk in your tank and have the versatility too.

The brass ring has to be glued in the tank so it would be the best if the tank is new when installing it.Im going to drill out my king cat tanks and glue the ring on the out side of the tank.I made the ID of the brass ring .53 large enough for the large du-bro clunk to be installed. Paul Jacques

RE: Avons Twin P-60 F-15
I ordered the turbines when in Florida after witnessing the karo start on the p-60s.I decided to go that route to avoid the possibility of one turbine running and the other one trying to start and pumping the fuse full of power max.I got the turbines and got them running great no flames except one starter would stick and shoot out when trying to start so I called Bob and he told me that the ecu had to be updated. New turbines ordered with the karo start and the ecus need up dating so back to jet cat they go. So I got the ecus back and for some reason they now on start up would shoot a yellow flame out the back of the plane. So the up date for some reason changed some thing on the start process witch caused them to have a flame start. After some call’s to Bob and adjusting the pump setting’s and a lot more of the fire starts. It cam down to sending the turbines back to Bob for him to sort out or go with power max to start. Are summers are short and the weekend was looking good so I did not want to waste any more time trying to get them running with the karo start. To my surprise they seamed to start using vary little power max and no more fire starts. If some one has had this problem with there p-60 karo start and sorted it out I would put it back on and give it another try. Maybe I will look at the next jet meet to see the if some one will let me see the settings and the way there turbine starts. Paul
