RE: TRex Power Up problems
Just tried a Maxamps 11.1V 2100mah and the same thing happens. Anymore ideas. I am going to try and set the ESC without Govener, and low voltage cutoff set to low.

TRex Power Up problems
Hi guys, Just got a used TRex and everything seems to be fine, with the exception of going to FULL POWER. I have everything trimed, the gyro gain is set perfect, blades in line and balanced. Here is what is being used. JR 8103 Radio Align BL25T ESC New 11.1v 1300Ma battery Align 420LF motor I go to power up and when the heli is at half or less power all is fine. This will get me up to about eye level. When I go to give a little more power, it starts shaking (missing power) and then comes down. I have locked the heli to the floor to check the power and when I go above half throttle, the power just quits. Is the ESC wrong, or what do you think? Thanks

RE: Great Planes Electrifly Yak55
With the current motor, esc, and battery setup, it would be nice to know that I could "punch it" once and a while if I wanted. Also, I like to go vertical at top speed and then come back down slowly, with a flat spin, or whatever. I am not flying the model all the time at full speed, as I do understand it wasn't designed to do that. Also, with some wind, the model can drift away during manuevers, and some speed gets it back to me quickly.

Great Planes Electrifly Yak55
I just bought this plane and really like it so far, other than one problem. It seems to porpose (wobble) at high speeds. I do not have the flutter problem, since I installed new (heavier) linkages on the elevator. I can see the elevator porpose at higher speeds though. Does anyone have a fix to this. The added weight in the back wont matter, I had to add tail weight anyway. Here is my setup: Himax Outrunner- HC2808-0980 Prop- APC 10x4.7 HS55 servos- all GWS lite receiver Thunder Power 11.1 (1320) Total weight - 14oz I hear you can get this plane to 12 oz, but I dont see how. Thanks

BLADE TAIL
Hi Guys, I have had this copter for a couple of weeks now and really like except for one thing, the tail. When I give it left rudder, it is very inconsistant. Almost sounds like a zip, zip, zip. Giving right rudder is very smooth, but to the left, you never no what will happen. Can you guys let me know if yours does the same. I have adjusted the trim to where it stays straight. I have also adjusted the gain, little amounts at a time, and nothing has improved the inconsistancy. I have put on the acro main motor, and heat sink. I have also changed out the tail motor to a new one from e-flite, with a heat sink. I am using the 1320 thunderpower li-po. I almost think I need to send it back to e-flite. I really cant have any fun due to this issue. I also fly a llama sr, as well as a couple of years on a Raptor 30. Inexperience is not the problem, I have tried everything! Please help!

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
Hey guys, Some thoughts and questions. Got mine last week, flew OK. Had the nose pointing to the right issue that everyone else had. Went to do a tail spin (piroutte (sp?) and the thing does not spin at a constant speed, it would go real fast, then stop, then slow, then fast. I ended up crashing into my driveway due to the inconsistancy. No problem, ordered crash kit, and new main shaft, it was bent. Now the gear on the new main shaft is really warped. Runs ok, but does add some wobble. ALso, now with everything new, my blade now wants to do the full throttle and then take off routine. While I had it apart, I lubed the slider just in case, seems it made it worse. I have needed to turn in/out ball links to track blades, do you guys think I may have taken out to much pitch? Has anyone else had the tail spin issue?

E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
Here we go with a new post, Hope everyone will join this post, and we all can spread some helpful information. Just got my blade yesterday. Everything looks great. The manual is a little vague, not too much information, but then again, there is not too much to do to get it flying. I flew mine with the stock NiMh battery, and was surprised with the decent power. I did have to adjust my tail rotor. It wanted to pull majorly to the right. I also bought the "upgrade kit" but wont use it till later. I just wanted to have an extra set of blades, and extra motor sitting around. My LHS only has the upgrade in stock, no other parts, blades, etc. I would like to install the heat sinks, but have some questions. Has anyone else installed the upgrade, how do you install the heat sinks, there was no glue or anything included. I know there must be a special glue, to transfer the heat. I also bought the thunder power 11.1v, 1320 Li-poly battery. Have not used it yet. Lets keep this post going, and we all should learn alot. So far, so good. Looks to be a decent copter for a beginner, as well as a fun sport copter for the pros. [:D]

RE: -Official Traxxas JATO Thread-
Hey guys, Just found out, try not to spill any fuel on the body. THe factory installed stickers are not fuel resistant. The sticker on the passenger window dried up immediatly. Some of you dont care how the truck looks, but when I spend $350 on something, I want to keep it looking good. This will also help with the future resale value.

Do you actually have one of these now? Mine is scheduled to arrive today. Did you upgrade to Li-poly batteries?

RE: Best second heli? First was an XRB
I agree with the previous post. I own a Raptor V1, Hirobo XRB. The TRex is an awsome copter, but I dont think I have that much $$$ in my Raptor. ALso, from what I hear, the parts are costly. The blade should not cost more than $300 with a lipo battery, brushless motor, and all the extra hop ups. Still seems like a better deal to the newby. Mine has been on order, and is expexted next week. I may have a different opinion when it arrives! I will start a post when I get it!

RE: xxx nt problems
ALso, check the brass bushing behind the clutch bell. My neighbor has one, and the clutch bell would not seat properly on the brass bushing. Made similar noises, and would barely move. He replaced alot of stuff, to find out it was simply a couple dollar part that created this havoc.

RE: -Official Traxxas JATO Thread-
Just broke in the Jato, you guys are right, this thing ROCKS! I am totally impressed with the top speed and power. With that said, you know that power can only be placed to the ground with the right tires! After about 8 tanks, on pavement, the rear tires are about shot. Are there any of the 2.8 rear tires out yet? I love the Jato wheels, and do not want to change to another set. What do you guys reccomend, or do you know that a selection of the 2.8 tires are on the way? I mostly run on the street, some grass, and some on a baseball infield.

TRAXXIS NITRO RUSTLER
Hi Guys, I am going to buy a nitro Rustler. I have looked at many different stadium trucks and feel this is the one. I run my TMax through my yard and occasionally hit the street for top speed. I do not jump that much, but if the neighbor kids have their skateboard ramp out, I am all there. I have had good luck with the TMax, and feel the parts availability for Traxxis products are massive. My LHS has everything, including hop ups. I will not be racing this truck. Give me some pros and cons. The purchase will be made in the next week.

RE: GP Christian Eagle
Whodaman, Do a yahoo search for TNT landing gear. When I found there site, I got their phone number and called them. Great service and fast shipping. I think I paid $40 for the gear. Their site only showed the larger gear for the GP Pitts. Maybe now that they have made a couple of sets for the Eagle, they will list in on their web site.

GP Christian Eagle
I almost have one of these done, and have not seen any post on the plane in a long time. It will have a digital servos, a Brisson 3.2, sullivan skywriter smoke, and the larger TNT landing gear. Has anyone seen any videos of the plane flying, other than the video at great planes? Can anyone give me any flying characteristics?

Help- Which Truck?
I currently have a TMaxx 2.5 and now want a stadium truck. My neighbor just bought the XXXnt Losi, and the thing flies. My TMaxx is just not as fun anymore compaired to his. We just play in the streets, yards, and occasionally jump stuff. The Losi is a great truck, but seems to break all the time after "bashing." Money is not an issue, but I want a truck that will take it all and come back for more. I have had great luck with the Traxxis products and have currently been looking at the Nitro Rustler. I hear it will take a beating, and is very fast out of the box. I dont plan to race this at any events. Any opinions? Thanks!

Eflite Blade CP
[8|]I just put my deposite down on one of the new Eflite Blade CP helicopters. I just could not resist paying $200 for a complete and RTF copter. Plus with some inexpensive upgrades, the thing will do anything. Am I just really excited about this, or what? Has anyone heard anything yet about it, the good, the bad, or whatever? I fly a V1 Raptor, and the indoor Hirobo Lama XRB, and felt this would offer the best of both worlds.
