RE: Hirobo XRB PICS!!! and build info.
Alright, the blades are a slight bit better, but it is STILL out of control. I guess they are still not loose enough. Im not to big on all the carbon that gets all over the place after sanding it, but I suppose thats what needs to be done. Ill tell some more after more sanding!

RE: Hirobo XRB PICS!!! and build info.
Yea, mine does the exact same thing, I have flown it in some pretty large indoor areas, and it gets very frustrating. Its about as tweaked as it can be. Many people claim thats the nature of the beast with the 'foamies', because Housefly owners don't complain about the need for full right aileron. To solve this problem, I ordered my CF blades from the same place Bdavidson did. They arrived last night, and so far, I have mixed feelings. THEY HAVE TO BE FILED DOWN on the ends to fit properly, I tried putting the A blades on, and it was downright out of control. So I filed the A's down and now its fine... Problem is, the hole they bore'd out is to small for the blade balancer to fit in. So I do not know if its balanced or not now, and I don't have a really small bit for the drill. I'll get around to getting it all straightened up by tonight, and will post results. I just hope it solves the FF veer to the left.

Ebay CF blades for 49 shipped. Supposed to be in by Friday... I will post results later...Hopefully, it is not as erratic as some people claim, but full right aileron in FF is starting to bug me.

I'm feeling ya on the foam blades flexing, even with the tape on, they wear out. Where can I get the CF blades for it?

The hobby shop I purchased it @ only sold them in the Mode 2 config. Instructions show both are offered.

ATTN: Hirobo XRB pilots.
After about 5 hours of stick time, and as much tweaking as possible, she seems to be dialed in as best as possible. However, when moving full forward, the XRB requires full right aileron to track straight. Is this the norm? Would removing the heavier fly-weights in favor for the lighter ones reduce this effect? Cheers!

Hirobo XRB Service Ceiling
I purchased the XRB SR last week, and have logged about 5 hours of stick time. It is truly a great heli to have. It can easily hover hands free upwards of 15 seconds now. Anyhow, a friend posed the question of what is the service ceiling of the XRB? I was doing a cross country flight from Oklahoma City to San Antonio yesterday and had plenty of free time to put this question to the test. This test was done in our familys 1985 Piper Seneca III: Indicated Altitude-11,000 Cabin Temp- Mid 70's Density Altitude 10,300 Pressure 29.86 The Hirobo successfully lifted off my hand and did in fact hover @ 95% power, for two to three seconds. I did not attempt to fly it in the cabin risking damage, but I left impressed knowing that it can perform @ pretty high altitudes. FYI, most single engine aircraft have a service ceiling of 14-15,000 feet. Cheers!
