RE: Bad fuel?
There probably isn't a real easy way to tell if the fuel is bad. Remember, the fuel is alcohol based. It is possible that the some of the fuel evaporated. Buy some fresh fuel, and a new glow plug. Reset needles to factory starting points, and it should start.

Volcano S30 steering
I want to tighten the steering up on my volcano. The steering servo has been changed from the stocker. Works better, but could be tighter, Lots of slop. Anybody tried to tighten everything up? Any tips?

RE: redcat volcano s30 need help
If you had it sputtering the other day, you are pretty close. Sounds to me like it needs the idle bumped opened a bit. These little motors can be tempermental at best sometimes. Wait for a warmer day, and give it another go.

RE: A quick shout out to Billy at Redcatracing..!
I too have had nothing but good things to say about Redcat. I've emailed them 2 times about 2 seperate issues, and they have responded quickly, and replaced both broken items. 1 of the issues wasn't even about a car, it was a issue with the electric starter. FullBore can understandably be upset, but it also sounds like redcat tried to take care of his problem. It would suck if your kids christmas present was broke out of the box, but I've had other things broken out of the box, or things couldn't be assembled because of missing parts, or broken parts. I've also had to take a new car back to the dealer with less than 100 miles on it. And didn't get it back for over 2 weeks. Point is the warranty is offered, but has to be used, and part of the warranty is following the company's policy.

RE: Paint Removal
You could try brake cleaner, or even paint thinner. Also, I've had good luck with paint remover found in paint deptment at walmart. If it is still tacky, just about anything should work. just be warned, your masking tape will not survive. once you get the paint off, clean it up good and you can start all over.

Thanks Redcat
Have to give credit where credit is due. The electric starter that I bought for my sons Volcano quit the other day. I couldn't figure out wether it was the switch or the motor. I filled out the warranty info from the website, and found out today that they are replacing the starter. Thanks Redcat !!!!!!

RE: Hello All
Sunday update disaster struck ealier today. my son was running tank #4, and i was in the garage putting on warmer stuff. went outside and he said something was wrong. looked over a few things, and the truck took off on me. ended upside down in the creek!!! jumped in the water and grabbed a hold of it. took it in the garage, pulled the plug, and put some after run oil through it. we just ran another tank through it. had to do some surgury. the throttle linkage needed to be adjusted, and changed the glow plug. go it running again just fine. i don't know if the reciever batteries went dead or what. has been and exciting day.

Hello All
Hello all. New to the forum, and to Redcat R/C. My son got a Volcano for xmas. Have run 2 tanks through it so far, and this thing is going to rip. Went over the car before firing it up, set the mesh, and gave everything a once over. Can't wait to run another couple of tanks through it and get it all tuned up.
