RE: Mamba monster truggy elec problem
I'm running the gearing that comes with the conversion kit, haven't bought anything new. Could be cogging then cuz it's the 1717 motor in it, I believe the biggest can they made besides the 1/5th scale , the pinion is a 15 and the spur is like a 45 or something, tough to tell cuz I destroyed it yesterday and haven't taken it off yet. It was plastic [:D]

RE: Mamba monster truggy elec problem
I don't think it's the low voltage cutoff, it does this at full charge. I've read in some posts it's been bad batteries most of the time. I am running a turnigy 4s 5000 mah 40-50c, it just kind of hesitated sometimes it seems like. The low voltage works good cuz it only gives you a burst of speed every time you punch the throttle that part is working fine. It flys when it's accelerating hard, and I don't even have the esc tuned right up, when you do get cogging what is the solution? Is it gear it down or up?

RE: Mamba monster truggy elec problem
Cross soldering? To the motor? It's connected straight from motor to esc bullet into esc I'm pretty sure

Mamba monster truggy elec problem
I am having a problem with the motor/esc in my truggy(8ight t 2.0 with conversion). I'm running a mamba monster esc with a 1717 castle motor, and as I'm driving it sometimes it will cut off like I'm releasing the throttle but then jolt and continue to excellerate . But it doesn't do this all the time. I don't think it's cogging but it seems there is almost a loss of connection with the throttle. The remote is fine, because I use it in my mini revo as well. Any ideas as to what I should do would be awesome , thanks.

just wondering if the stock remote that comes with the rtf version is any good, an or if it can still perform 3d maneuvers ? or if I should just buy the bind and fly version and buy a dx5e instead? thanks for your time

RE: monster issues
I'm using a turnigy 5000 4s 40c , connections are all good, I think it is the deadband, but my link is back at my old place lol isn't the dead band the gap you want to make smaller? doesn't it act like your neutral position?

RE: Looking for suggestions on a good quality Truggy for racing. Suggestions needed!
do what i did, buy a losi 8ight t 2.0 slap jr 9100s and 9100t servoes in it, start hating nitro cause of the constant pain in the ass it is(maintenance) buy a fresh flex chassis, then mamba monster v3 esc+1717 neu motor, slap on a conversion kit and let the wheelies begin!!!!!! man i love my truggy now lol, oh and youll need better diffs too lol, i just got so sick of changing air filters then glow plugs, cleaning the dam thing every race cause it gets covered in fuel, then making it sparkle just to get all covered in nitro dust again, but its just my opinion, as you can tell from my list im fairly sunk into this car lol have fun no matter what you do

8ight t 2.0 brushless gearing
sorry for the repost but im not getting answers, just trying to understand the gearing situation that comes with the conversion kit from losi, i have a neu 1717 motor(castle obviously) and the monster esc, so far i have the plastic spur on, which should come off soon. all my diffs are stock, fluid aswell. ill be running a 4s 5000 mah 40c lipo, wondering what everyone is using for the gear setups. Seems to me like all i can fit for a spur is the 45 without some mod, which i dont really want to do. as well could you include the run times you get out of your setups,

RE: My MERV is full of mud...
think you guys are looking into this maintenance thing a bit to much. my point of view is i used to race motocross for 6 years, and after all the broken bones and injuries i got into rc so i could beat the living crap out of them and go to work the next day without a cast, so thats what i do, lol complete tear downs.... baahahahaha

neutral is the only way to do it, it cant realize i want it to break upon signal loss so it goes straight to forward, since i reversed the trigger on my remote

8ight t 2.0 rtr safety
i have recently converted my 8ight t 2.0 rtr to a brushless, 1717 castle, and a v3 esc. when i had the nitor engine on it i had the safety feature binded into it where if it lost connection with radio the brakes would be applied full, well this is still on with the brushless conversion, so one time i made the mistake of turning off my remote and my truck that was sitting on on top of my jacket took off rapping my jacket in the wheels( thank god) since it didnt get to run up my gfs leg that was standing beside it. my question is do i need to unbind and then rebind the receiver ? and how do i unbind the receiver also?

RE: castle v3 amp maximum
ok but isnt 30c 150 amps? correct me if im wrong but isnt the equation (Continuous current = C rating * capacity (mAh) /1000 = Amps , which in 30c case be 150? im new to this and just took it from another post i had up.
