Sand Dragstrip
Tuff crowd, Ya don't like wheelies or dirt oval. How 'bout sum sand drags? Buddy of mine built this twin mach .26 dragster to race this ported 29cc Baja early this spring. Good smack leading up to it.[:D] The Baja was radared at 49mph on the 120' strip, never got a gun on the DragQueen. RE: Runs then dies ????
Chill Dave, Yeah, it could be the high side if it's way out of tune. But I tweak lots of noob trucks at the track every week, and 90% of the time (if it dies that quick) the lsn is too lean. Or it's sucking air somewhere. The lowside doesn't need to be very lean for it to die after only 3 minutes of fart'n around. Most of the time it's been mistaken as the idle screw, and leaned out to make the idle pick up. I've seen big blocks darn near glowing after 7 or 8 minutes of racing before they die from a lean high side. Unless, they are way off. Now if it's dieing under heavy throttle, then yes it's the highside. That would be a hot motor, not a "seems hotter than normal" motor. If it's dieing at low rpms or as your trying to throttle back up,try richening the low side for a fatter transition. But still, the best advise for a noob would be to start over like Dave mentioned. I tune by ear and temps tho,and don't have the patients anymore for starting over.[:)] And yes, I can tune just fine, thankyou. Ask my LHS owner,I tuned his truggy at the last race and he kicked butt all nite, then thru a 20 min. main.

RE: Trial Ruins
You'll like the track I'm building next spring then,it'll make the first off-road track look like a playground. We threw a few 10th scales on the oval last week. We're still learning, but are starting to knock off some good laps. Tuff learning curve with lots of 30-40 mph wrecks, but damn is it fun. I caught a few good tumbles with the onboard cam,I'll post it whenever I get a chance to edit it. Yeah, the dude can drive and that losi 8ight is sweet! The guy driving the mugen truggy just got a sponsorship deal. Must be nice not having to buy your own toys.[8D]

One for the fly-boyz
Just having a lil fun with some footage of one of our locals who also happens to fly RC planes, and does a fine job of it I might add. Made this vid for him awhile back, thought I'd go ahead and post it. His handle is Wiplash, hense the title. The website is just for our local group/track,so just ignore that unless your from KS. Trial Ruins
Here's a vid I made 'bout a month ago of some local racers/bashers trying out our new tracks. We haven't gotten organized for full blown races yet,but will be by spring. The bash area will be turned into an X-treme race track with mega jumps (not for the weak at heart). We're also going to be holding drag races on the sand drag strip. Already have several dual engine paddle dragsters being built just for that,I'll show you sum footage of that when I get it. The oval, what can I say,we're chomp'n at the bit to get that fired up! I spent all season building this park, and can't wait to start racing on it next season. Still have a shack to build, another drivers stand, and another 1000' of drain tile to lay. Then it's GAME-ON!! Click here to watch Trial Ruins you may have to right click and save, depending on your defualt settings.

RE: Waco Texas Dirt Oval Racing
Yeah, making a car go left is different. We're just now learning about setups, what a blast. That short track looks like a real challange with the traffic. The trouble we're going to have with the learning curve on ours,is the speed we'll be carrying into the turns (30-40 mph). It will require a box of spare parts to make it thru the weekend until we all get our stuff dialed in,including our skills. Seems the hardest thing to get thru your head,is that you don't need to pass everyone on the first lap. Green,green,green,...crash!![:D]

RE: Sum racing action from a local track
*sigh* I give up, You just don't get it,kid. It's called common courtesy. Maybe when your old enough to get a job, work for months to build a local RC park so kids like yourself have a place to play and race besides their backyard, spend hours and hours building a free "public" website so they can share their experiences in a semi controlled environment, take the time to make many videos to help promote the hobby, spend thousands of dollars promoting the sport, and countless hours helping newcomers tune their cars, you'll understand why it's discouraging when someone feels they have a "right" to voice their opinion even though it could hurt the feelings of others just trying to be part of all this. Who am I to speak for most of the people here? Nobody, I just do what I can to support this hobby we all enjoy so much. Does any of this make me special or an authority of anything? Absolutely not, but I do feel I have the "right" to ask you to stop, grow up,and enjoy the ride. This should be fun for all,not a welcome mat for those with a need to voice their opinions so they can feel better about themselves at the expense of others. Do what you want though. Your going to anyways, because you have the "right" too. At this point I'm thru discussing the matter. If you feel the need however,pm me and I'll tell you how I really feel.[:)] Oh, but I will ask you to stay off my threads with your ratings, because they are meaningless to me. I will choose how much work I put into my own vids. Might even do a request if you ask me real nice.

[:)] I see where all your expertise comes from now,my bad!![:D] We'll be waiting for your awesome RC vids. BTW, it is offensive for someone to rate your stuff if you don't ask for it. Why bother posting it? Why not? Who are you to decide whats good enough? Just keep quite about it,and enjoy those that are up to your high standards. This isn't a video game or cable TV section. Not everybody cares about the editing. Most just wanna see RC's and could care less about all the frills.[;)]

RE: Sum racing action from a local track
A video guy with no RC vids but into RC,tells me you haven't been in RC very long. Yet here you are rating others vids and their driving skills like your sum kind of expert. LMAO!!!! I'd be willing to bet the novice drivers on that track would run circles around you. I can tell you've made vids and that you know Vegas, but I have made lots of RC vids as well as others. Not saying I'm an expert at anything, but do know a little about all this. I'm not here to impress you with a vid that I spent very little time editing. So go away,[:D] The links should play on your default players. Does on mine anyways. editted for content

RE: Skate Park Bash
What you guys can't get thru your thick skulls,is these vids are loaded here for your entertainment. It's free and takes much time and parts to make. Keep up with your stupid comments and they will be gone. Nobody wants to here that stuff ("Truly I felt it sucked!!!")about their vids. Post your vids and we'll give you a lil "constructive criticism",otherwise close the pie-hole. These guys will stop,I've seen it before.

RE: Skate Park Bash
ORIGINAL: unableelephant i like this vid...here are my ratings(all out of 5) driving-3.5 i know there were 3 drivers so i averaged it out editing-4 seems u at least know how to work ur editing prgm(may i ask what u use) i would have liked to see more syncing to the music though footage-4 good camera angles for the most part...would have liked to see more of the skate park used though, also a few clips could have been left out of the vid music-4.5 i liked ur choice of music alot,as said in editing section would have liked to see more syncing
Enough of that crap! We don't go thru all the trouble of making these vids for you to critique. Who are you to judge or rate a vid made by one of the most talented RC-vid dudes on the web. To some it may be OK,but to others it's freak'n genius. Leave it at that or you'll take the fun right out of this. This section will die off quick with stuff like this.
