yep i always replace my carbs for bigger n better like on my 3.3 stock was plastic 2 needle i went to a O.S. 3 needle tz carb nite n day just make sure you kno how to tune or you'll burn your glow plugs a 8$ a pop

get a basher and learn to tune and while your gain experince you'll be able to solve all your problems ...an experenced enthuisest could prolly just look at it and or hear whats exactly wrong in your case it could simply tuning or clutch issues or even bad fuel

You prolly have a bad airleak,seal the backplate and under the carb with silicone,turn in the highspeed needle and count the turns if your like at 3turns try 2.5 Than lean the highspeed. your drowning the motor with fuel. If you drown it again take the plug out & turn your kit upside down and crank the motor to expel the axcess fuel..I'd take the glow plug and put it on the igniter to see if its glowing.If its still good it should glow brite orange,make sure to burn off the extra gas and before you put the plug back in. if your spiting fuel its way to rich try setting the lowspeed flush with the slide arm on the carb

I have a highly modded MERV its fun but not as fun as the 1/10revo , i converted my 2.5maxx and soon found how week the plastic gears were in the tranny and that was only on 3s personally i think the 2.5maxx was the worse kit ive ever owned even with the 3.3 in it i killed the ring gears in the diffs and the stock axles are pitiful even with the slipper set right lol its just week. if you were to get a 3.3maxx roller you be lightyears ahead of the 2.5 .

i run 3s on my SCT Sidewinder 3800kv no problem , the lower the kv the more torque and the biger the motor too thus your able to gear up =more speed... In electric the more volts or cells ,and the lower the kv the cooler the system will be... less amp draw . The 3800kv 4pole is made for the 2wheel slash they even have gearing charts on their website .
