RE: jammin jpx .21 or ?...
ORIGINAL: supertib Once you start tuning these JPX mills in you are best served to run the Picco plugs.... Now I only have experience with my modified versions as i don't bother much with stock engines.....I have seen OS and OD plugs leak in the JPX heads more then once, some buttons seem to seal, some do not..... On the modified engines if you try running a OS or OD plug your very likely going to be picking glowplug coil out of your piston, as both those plugs have nowhere near the durability of the Picco plugs....... Maybe they are fine on a stock compression engine, or an engine with added head shims...but if your serious about making the JPX perform to its full potential your definitely best served to be running a quality plug......I hear many guys having to add shims and are lucky to get 8 minutes, we remove shims and regularly get 12 minutes from these engines, but I would never dare do that with a OD or OS plug....Picco plugs are much more resistant to detonation and allow you to push the engine much harder....
Quoted for truth.

RE: New to rc. truggy or buggy??
ORIGINAL: HerrSavage As for buggy vs. truggy, my take would be this: truggies are a bit easier to drive, so maybe it'd be sensible to go that way to start. But buggies are more fun to drive - more challenging.. But that's just me maybe.. I would also race buggies if I could(money and time and weather constraints currently..) if only because tires are cheaper.. So, truggies look cooler and are easier to drive. But buggies are faster, more agile, more fun, but more challenging. Last time I raced both classes I ran a 30 minute truggy final right after a 20-minute buggy semi. After the buggy semi driving the truggy felt like cruising in a plush Cadillac compared to some nimble laser-quick Porsche..
+1 Patrick hit the nail on the head perfectly.! My honest opinion, do either at first, you'll eventually end up with both. I started out with a truggy, then got a buggy to accompany it, I feel my buggy made me a much better driver.

RE: Back to the drawing board... Purchase advice.
ORIGINAL: RevoG Mugen??? Why drop the trusty X2? Just kidding, should be an awesome car. G
Ey Gus. Parts support, the two magical words... To get Jammin parts I have to drive 2+ hours, to get Mugen parts I just go to the track, which is like 20 mins away... Im still gonna run the X2, but not as much. As for servo's, Im going back to the 8711 & 9100 S. Im trying to avoid buying online and support the LHS...

Back to the drawing board... Purchase advice.
Well I've been out of the scene for a lil' while... And plan on coming back once the racing season starts up again. Ive pretty much made a list of what I plan to get. I'll be combining some stuff from my previous truck into this build. Mugen 6T Race Roller. ( Saves me the hassle of building since im still in the moving process and yet have to get my tools up here... JP Eagle .21 B7T ( Same one I used in my X2 ) with matching Novarossi pipe. The trusty old DX3R.. Now I need help with the servos. Id prefer to stick to JR, so just the usual 9100 T & S, or are there any other good alternatives now...? Im still gonna run my custom Energizer 6V packs, until I get my hands on a lipo pack. As for tyres, a standard set of bow ties until I get her dialed in at the track. Ill probably be getting the truck somewhere during this month and building it up during April.. Thanks boys...

RE: * . _ - Offical Jammin X2 Thread - _ . *
Long time boys.. Mines been retired due to winter here ( Dont want to drive her in the snow ), and also because I have no where close to take it out. Im planning to break it out next month, and at some time during this month pick up a Mugen 6T, mainly because the LHS around here carries a lot of Mugen parts.. And they're not overley priced. Still gonna keep the X2, and run 2 trucks at once..

RE: Engine
You'd generally go for a few extra Glow Plugs suited to that engine, a flywheel, clutch, clutch bell ( If necessary ), clutch bearings ( If necessary), a pipe ( Again if needed ), a header ( if needed ), and you may need engine mounts. Pretty sure that should set you good..

RE: Looking for a new HDTV
Look into the new Samsung LED Tv's, extremely good picture, 120Hz, and its unbelievable how thin they are. Also the new Sony series has amazed me. I just took delivery of their new one XBR9 series. This thing is just insane. I used to be a Samsung guy before, but now with this, Ive turned to Sony. The picture quality is insane.. Hook up your PS3 to it, throw in a blu ray disc, and you'll be amazed...

RE: What's the verdict on NFS Shift Vs Dirt 2?
Auto just to let you know Sony Style has $50 off their PS3's, and are also throwing in an extra controller if your intrested. I do not own Dirt 2, but I do have Shift for the PS3. To be honest I wasn't really impressed by the game. The variety of cars is good. But the game play was leaning on the arcade side more than the sim side. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just not my cup of tea. I do own the original Dirt on the 360, and till date still love that game. If the original is anything to go buy, Dirt 2 should be an absolute blast...

RE: Mugen MBX6T
I wouldn't exactly recommend throwing a 28 in that thing. Talk about ballooning... A good 21 would work for you really well.. I've been out of the game for a while now, so no idea about this 25 coming out soon....
