Germany flying places???
I'm getting ready to move to Germany and was wondering if there are any flyers in the Ramstein/kaiserslautern area. I'm looking for places to fly small electric planes. I know folks use to fly on Sembach but that was over five years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Fast jets
So how about educating the new guy instead of bashing him?? Good thing none of use were ever new at this hobby or any aspect of it. Good thing we never needed anyone to tell us that what we were thinking about doing was ill advised.

RE: Fast jets
UNBELIEVABLE!!! Some one post a simple question and these are the responses the garner?????? REALLY!!!?? And you guys/gals wonder why this hobby is not growing like it should. We are our own worse enemy. If he spoke in perfect English this wouldn't even be an issue. You all should be ASHAMED of yourselves, I know I am. SMDH

RE: Idiots in New York, RC plane buzzing Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge
Some of you all need come back to reality. All of this parroting and conjecture about things (new FAA rules) that only a hand full of people, none of which are on this forum , know about is futile and at best. People using RC planes to deliver explosives is just as possible as using RC cars or RC boats or RC submarines yet you don't see any of those guys/gals freaking out about big brother shutting down their hobby. Come on people. The FPV guys aren't showing evil-doers anything they haven't already considered. Go build/repair a plane. Go teach strangers how wonderful this hobby is. Stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.....that is all.

RE: Three Piece Twist
Here is the first stage of repairs. I cut away the ripped balsa and cleaned the surface the new balsa will be glued to. I made new formers and glued them in place. When I get ready to put the new surface on the wing, should I wet it first?

Full size RX vs. Micro RX
What is the difference, besides obviously the size, between full size receivers and micro receivers? I've seen statements that suggest that micro receivers are for parkflyer type planes but is there anything that would make them unsuitable for use in full size aircraft? For example Hitec neutron receiver is a 6 channel rx that comes in both full size and micro. There is a difference of 20 dollars between the two. Why should I pay the extra 20 bucks for the full size when I can get the micro?

What prop size for magnum 52 four stroke
I have a magnum 52 four stroke on a sig 4star. Right now its turning a 12x5 prop but it seems a little sluggish and hard to slow down on landings. I was thinking of going to a 12x4 prop or an 11x6 or 7. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

FULL THROW TO QUICK!!
O.k. heres my situation I have an hitec optic 6 radio system an a 4 star powered by a magnum 52 4 stroke. Whats happening is when I throttle up on the stick, full throttle is reached when the stick is only a little more than half way. If this was any other channel I would just add some expo and it would fix the problem but with it being the channel for throttle expo is not an option. Now I could fly it as is and just keep in mind that half way on the sticks is full throttle but I would rather have it were full throw on the stick is full throttle. Any advise???? Thanks

I wasnt saying anything bad about the WARHEAD. I was just noting the obvious. I dont see me getting one at all. Too difficult to work on, and LHS support for Duratrax isnt too good. [/quote]

RE: HELP!! Titan twin or Genesis .46???
I have a Gen and and a regular Tiatan and I like the Gen better. I wouldn't put either on a track and expect to turn good lap times buth the Gen can take a beating. It had problems off the line but CEN has worked them out and there customer service is still the best I've dealt with. IMO the Gen.
