RE: Hobby King Warranties?
I agree, dealing with Hobby King is just plain STUPID. Even if a product was originally manufactured in China; for the benefit of your own country BUY it from an AMERICAN company!!!!    It's the economy!

RE: Hobby King Warranties?
Hey Mr67 Stang; Since when is patriotism childish. If you read some of the journalism comming out of Aussie land, they are very much concerned about the American economy and the Nov. elections. I hope the Aussies support there own economy and buy RC from there own just as I do whenever possible. As far as "I told you so"; that is what the forum is..... a free exchange of info and experience. Don't think so: move to China!

Don't own one and thought about getting one. However, I've heard that the retracts are somewhat long and damage very easily especially flying off grass!

RE: Decal paper for printer
Hey Irish, Papillo IS Texascraft, and like I said b4; they have every concievable paper imaginable! If you ar using an "Inkjet" printer, you will need to coat the decals with "Krylon Clearcoat" available at your local hardware store. Inkjet ink IS water soluble and will not stand up if using waterslide. I bought a Samsung Laser printer for about a $100 and is the best investment for doing decals since laser ink doesn't require a protective coating. All my models have been done over in custom decals and it really makes warbirds stand out!

RE: Adding Flaps to Parkzone Trojan
HS 65 will work fine. There are plenty of instructions via you tube on how to reverse a servo. I've done it several times a beats the added weight and wiring of a reverser or higher priced reversed servo and mathing make/model. If you can solder; youcan reverse a servo!

RE: Rimfire 400 mounting screw size?
Best way to check is with a pitch gage or tap and die set. I just invested in a T&D set since I just went through this with the same Rimfire motor which takes a "tri" mount and upgrade to a larger motor requiring a 4 bolt set up. It was necessary to tap new threads in the metal motor mount. In the event you have a buggered bolt, a metric die set is handy and beats a trip to the HS. 4mm also comes in two pitch sizes; .70 and .75.

Yes, I've seen these bugs B4. The species is native to china and is found commonly if manufacturing provences. The scientific name is Consumatatious dolloritis. The bugs have infected the US job markets and are a real threat to the US economy. DO NOT allow them near your wallet nor check book!!!

RE: Can flying high speeds break apart your model?
High speed and high "G's" can ruin a plane; especially after 20 or so flights and contiued stress. That's why fighter jets get mothballed after x number of hours. Last month I was coming across the field at high speed, entered an aileron roll and snaped the starboard wing on my ParkZone T-28 right in half. Then last week I put my Parkzone Corsair into an inverted dive; pulled hard aileron and elevators to level off across the field. Amazingly we were all astonished to see the wings fold as if I were flying a "big W". Even more amazing, after landing we could find NO structural damage! Everything looked fine. I relayed this phenomenon to Horizon Hobby and they may want the wing for examination. I'm waiting for an answer. Horizon's initial feeling was that FOAM does stress over time; especially after 20-30 flights. Agressive flying does cost!!!

RE: best color to see
If you want better visibility to see your aircraft Start with your EYES! Amber to yellow glasses will give the best contrast; especially when flying against a tree line. Those trees love to jump out and grab planes if you get even a little to close. They become very hostile and aggressive in late summer and into fall. "Eagle Eyes" sunglasses work great!

RE: NitroPlanes False Advertising
Gotta agree with Outdoor, I've mentioned NP myself several times; JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Yes I know that most of what we buy originates from China, but when will we get it through our heads? When you buy from an AMERICAN CO., the money trickles through OUR economy first. Let's all try being Americans first and cheap, second... The job yousave may be your own!

RE: dual rates and expon extra 300 e
Just a note on expo; be carefull after 50%. Yes it is true the sticks will be more forgiving around center, but then the curve goes straight up at full through and becomes very twitchy. Expo does'nt change the total deflection of the control surfaces. It just delays full through to extremes of the stick movement. To add expo on a Spectrum use +; on Futaba radios you use - to add expo.

RE: ember 2 first flights.
Hey Electric, Glad you're having a great time. I'v had one for 2 years and fly it in doors or in my back yard. Here's a tip to reduce breakage; Untape the wings. Next, and a little tension to the wing holders with a thin "cut" rubber band. I used some very fine copper wire to tie the ends of the rubber band and added a drop of CA. Now when you crash; the wings will come off without breaking!
