RE: titan 12 turn and xl-5 questions
First off that set up is not meant for a 4x4 truck AT ALL. Not to mention that the titian 12t is a piece of garbage....

I take my slash in to get the the transmission taken care of because I didn't have any time, and to be honst I didn't feel like working on it. I got it back put it in a corner for a while and forgot about it, after probably 3 weeks I took it out to find other there were no screws in the case. I went back to the shop to find it with no RCs in it with everything gone. Damn place went out of business, only God knows where my transmission screws are.

RE: Starting over
ORIGINAL: dragnse7en Yeah, the AE car would be a much better upgrade. I've been subscribing here lately, and have been hearing that there's more complaints about Traxxas than any other brand, RTR or kit. Just my observation. Traxxas was inferior to a hobby-grade against any Tamiya off-roader BITD in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and if I ran across the chance to get a free Traxxas today, I'd give it away. IMHO, they're five steps below HPI and three steps below Tamiya. Junk and super cheap plastic. Just my observation since, Traxxas came out on the scene BITD. I'd hardly trust their SC 4x4 truck platinum edition. Again - super cheap plastic. You'll do much better with the AE car. :)
Yeah, time and time again Traxxas has disapointed me. I thought the slash would be decent, but it's had lots of problems, especially from the junk titan motors. I've gone threw 4 of those damn things, untill I upgraded to brushless, which is when the transmission gave out. I'm selling my nitro sport for 10$ because the frame bent and the motor never ran right. I bet i has a air leak or somthing, but that was the first nitro I'd had,so I didn't really know anything. Never again, Traxxas.

RE: Which one
ORIGINAL: chowellatc
ORIGINAL: Link119 Well, what do you want to do with it? Bash? Race?
Once I get use to it make it fast and still be able to take it off road (grass, gravel, sand, etc). Cut up I mean like taking it on jumps, going fast, etc. I wasn't sure if it would still do wheelies or not since it was 4wd and the front wheels pulling too. Can you still turn sharp with 4wd? Can the 4wd be disabled easily? I also take it since no one has recommended anything else that it's a good choice? Thanks for the help!!!
The 4x4 will turn sharper and handle better than 2wd, yes the Pede is pretty much meant to jump and stuff (We call that bashing). You can't really disable the 4x4, and you probably wouldn't want to. For bashing a moster truck is a fun choice!

That's a nirto sport all right. And yes, that is also a pro .15. They have smaller cooling heads than the 2.5.

RE: SC Trucks,What's a good balance of durability and racing?
Well, I've had terrible luck with Traxxas so I'd stay way from them. My slash's transmission pretty much self destructed when I put a brushless system in it. Personally I like 2wd more, but it's a bit more unpredictable than a 4x4, which is part of the fun.

Starting over
My slash is a real basket case; the idiots and the hobby shop forgot to give me my transmission screws back, of course it's too late now. I'm going to be getting a team associated sc10 soon. The question I have is in regards to my brushless set up. Can I pretty much just bolt on what i have now? The esc is a castle mamba max pro 1/10 and the engine is a tacon 3650 with 4420kv. I'm pretty sure I've got a 18 tooth pinion also. This is a pretty nice set up IMO, so I want to use it. Will it work out?

Has anyone had this problem with the slash before? I'll probably begin to tear it down Thursday. I'm hoping the problem will be noticeable, so I know what parts to get. Oh, and if I call traxxas will they blame it on the brushless system I put in it? Cause if they will I'll just say it's a vxl[:)]

Well, I lost intrest in this hobby after my slash broke right after I installed my brushless system, It was pretty disapointing because I've put a good amount of money into it, and now it was broken yet again. Anyways I pretty much packed up everything and decided I would take a little break for a while. After watching a youtube video on a rc car I realized that I wanted to get back

The parts would probably be brittle after sitting for so long. I would just keep it in the box, unless you really want to build it.

RE: I hate people
ORIGINAL: MadManAndrew Almost every leisure vehicle I've ever had has been stolen or trashed by trespassers. Jet ski, stolen out of our drive way when we were only gone to the corner store for fifteen freakin' minutes. One of our four wheelers was stolen and trashed, found it later but there was some bull with the local police about not being able to press charges. They later hotwired our tractor, crushed both of our golf carts, and ripped apart our camper. Little sh*ts are still out there today because the locals still managed to come up with more bull. Then our other four wheeler was stolen straight out of our yard. Every single one of our trailers has been stolen. We actually got one back though, the dually that took it had muds and highways on the back. Just keot an eye out and the dumb*ss showed back up looking for more! Only thing I've managed to keep has been my bike, alllllways kept it garaged. There's sh*tty*ss people in the world today, and they don't want us to have nice things. Oh, btw! We hate you too.[:D]
Damn, that must suck ass. If I was you I would accdentally leave one of the atvs in the yard and wait for them to come by with a 12 gauge in your hands

RE: my poor dog :(
My dog had to get his eye taken out because it had cancer in it several months ago. Its all healed up now, but right after it was taken out he had to wear one of those cones. Because he couldn't see out of one side he would ram into all sort of stuff with his cone on. It was kind of funny, but he (and I) couldn't wait for the thing to come off.

I fix small engines for some extra cash. I was busy enough, and I didn`t feel like fixing it. What the hell is wrong with taking your RC to the hobby shop? I`m going to get a refund and take it to another hobby shop, hopefully one that can fix it right. i don`t think i`m exactly lazy eather, I help my father with his landscaping company to. btw the problem with it is it keeps poping out of gear.

Took my rc up to the local hobby shop figuring that they would fix it, since is specifically showed them what was wrong with it right? Wrong! The retard at the shop changed my spur gear and changed my slipper pads, I didn't realize this till I got home, and saw that the trans was still... you took 35$ of my money and didn't fix my rc. My dad is the same way. But it's my money, i earned it mowing lawns 24/7 so I'll spend it the ways that I want. Still, he won't let me mod out the old craftsman mower in the shed and make it go 40mph. That pisses me off a little, but what can you do. If it's your money then spend it how, and where you want.
