RE: Chattering servo, please help
ORIGINAL: BuschBarber
ORIGINAL: rc-sport
Have you tried a 4.8v Rx battery pack? Are the servos 6v compatible? Are you using any Reversing Y's? Have you tried just one servo in the Ail channel, one servo in the Aux1 channel, and tested all 4 servos that way? Have you tried a JR Matchbox instead of two Y Harnesses? What Tx are you using?
I have not tried a 4.8v

Chattering servo, please help
OK, I'm going insane here. I have a GP Reactor bipe and it has 4 aileron servos. Spectrum mini's. I'm using a Spektrum 7200 receiver. I have the right servos on the aileron channel and the left sevos on Aux 1 channel. The upper and lower halves are connect via a Y connector. My problem is one of the servos chatters, just one. The chatter stops if I disconnect any of the other aileron servos. I tried changing the chattering servo, changed the receiver, changed the Y fittings and I have eliminated the servo extensions by soldering in twisted wire lengths. I'm running a 6 volt NiCad pack so I'm getting plenty of power. I'm at my witts end trying to troubleshoot this problem, please help.

RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I have been out of town all week and just learned this terrible news, my heart sank when I read it. I met Mike here on RCU many years ago through a thread that had us in tempermental disagreement but we got to know each other and I learned a lot from Mike. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike a few times and met his beautiful wife. I ran into Mike last year at Toledo and it was always a pleasure to see him and his perpetual smile. Mike, you will be missed.

RE: How to You fly, after fighting with wife
Do like I did, divorce your wife and get a girlfriend. My girlfriend loves my hobby and completely supports it and since we're not married she never bitches when I buy something new.

Had an "oh Duh" moment
As I have stated in another thread I'm building my first kit in about 6 years. Well, it's clear that my building skills are a bit rusty. I finish every session with my finger tips full of CA. So I was looking for something on my shelf and spotted a box of latex glove. OH DUH, why don't I wear those. They worked great. finished a session with no CA on my fingers. It took me 10 years in this hobby to think of that.

RE: Gotta love snow flying
The nice thing about our club is we have a hobo shack, or the pilot's lounge as we like to call it with a wood burning stove. You run out, you fly and run back in to warm up.

RE: Does Giving away planes Have a Reward?
I gave away my TF Sea Fury a couple of months ago. It was hanging in my garage collecting dust and I didn't care to fly it anymore, so I posted an add on RCU, local pick up only free to the first guy who called. Hopefully the gentleman who has it will fly it again. I've given away a lot of stuff over the years, maybe someday someone will return the favor, if not then oh well.

RE: Roto Motor
I had a Roto 35, it was reliable and quieter than most of the glow planes at the field. I measured the db's and it was 92db at 9 ft with the stock muffler.

Lost another beauty today
Today the B-17 Liberty Belle crash landed in a bean field in Oswego, IL. It managed to land on it's mains but it was soon engulfed in flames, all that was left was the nose, tail and wings. All 7 on board without injuries, well one them bumped their head getting out but that's it. Another plane reported see flames from engine #2.
